Healing Points #3 - God's Will and Healing

Oh! how my heart aches for believers to believe and understand: Always IT IS God's will to heal. I know it is only the Holy Spirit who can reveal to and establish this understanding within a believer. I certainly can not.

You often hear this statement as a way of a person explaining why he or she does not or has not received their desired healing. "IF it is God's will, I will be healed." In truth, the little word "IF" can prove to be the very stumbling block that actually prevents a person from receiving the manifestation of healing. The word "IF" IS an expression of doubt. It is an expression that needs to be recognized as a form of unbelief.

YOU MUST BELIEVE IN ORDER TO RECEIVE is the message of truth the Holy Spirit has cemented in me.

"Always It IS God's will to heal."
Does this mean that everyone will and does receive the manifestation of healing? No. But, this does not take away from the truth that always it is God's will to heal.

(An example: It is God's will that all should not perish but come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. Does this mean that all people will come to repentance. No.)

How can believers in Jesus Christ be certain that this is the truth? Let me ask you how many times did Jesus demonstrate this truth in the Gospels? The truth as recorded in God's Word: Jesus did not refuse to heal anyone. Recorded in the Gospels are 17 occasions where Jesus healed all of the sick that were present. And, there are 47 other times where Jesus healed one or two people at a time. NOWHERE in Scripture do we find Jesus refusing to heal anyone.

Jesus made the statement that He could do nothing of Himself but only what He saw the Father do (John 5:19 and 8:28-29). The actions and words of Jesus while He was here on earth are proof enough that it is always God's will to heal. You must believe in order to receive. Believe!

Luke 5:12-13 NKJV And it happened when He was in a certain city, that behold, a man who was full of leprosy saw Jesus; and he fell on his face and implored Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.”Then He put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately the leprosy left him.

Matthew 15:30 NKJV Then great multitudes came to Him, having with them the lame, blind, mute, maimed, and many others; and they laid them down at Jesus’ feet, and He healed them.

Matthew 8:13-15 (NKJV)
13 Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you.” And his servant was healed that same hour.

14 Now when Jesus had come into Peter’s house, He saw his wife’s mother lying sick with a fever. 15 So He touched her hand, and the fever left her. And she arose and served them.

The Lord's Prayer
The prayer Jesus taught to His apostles also tells us it is God's will to heal. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Is there any sickness in heaven? No.

Refuse Sickness and Disease As A Believer
Your body responds to your thoughts, your beliefs and the understanding your mind feeds to it. Before you became a believer in Jesus Christ, your carnal mind was feeding your body. When you repented, confessed your sin toward God, and received Jesus Christ as both Lord and Savior, you became a new creature in Chirst. The Bible tells us we have the mind of Christ. In order to experience this spiritual change, you MUST renew your mind in Jesus Christ through the teaching of truth in God's Word with the Holy Spirit being the teacher and guide.

What brought sickness and disease into the world? Sin. What have you through Jesus Christ? Forgiveness of sin. It makes a whole lot of sense that sickness and disease no longer should be a part of you because you now belong to Jesus Christ. He paid a mighty price with His own blood for you.

So many people take into themselves and actually claim sickness and disease as if for some reason the sickness or disease belongs to them, rather than refusing to allow or claim sickness and disease to enter or be a part of them.

Christ's atonement for sin includes the provision for healing of spirit, soul and body.

"By His stripes we are healed" Isaish 53:5. After Christ went to the cross - "who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed. 1 Peter 2:24 NKJV

Think about this. What are you feeding to your body when you tell it "If it's God's will, I will be healed?" Doubt and unbelief!
What a difference it will make when your mind's message to your body is "Jesus Christ paid the price on the cross for my sin and by the shedding of His blood I have already been healed. Always it is God's will to heal." Believe and feed your body spiritual truth!

Yes! Doubt is the stumbling block. With our faith as little as a mustard seed, whatever mountain before us, in the form of sickness will be levelled.
That is the power of faith. It's a really nice piece. Look forward to reading more inspiring ones from you.

Peace and blessings!

Welcome redjove to ChristianBlog. I like your comment "whatever mountain before us, in the form of sickness, will be levelled."

I always think about this truth - Jesus has given us authority to speak to our mountain(s) and command it/them to be removed and cast into the sea. I use the authority of the name of Jesus when dealing with sickness that is trying to enter my body. I go after the sickness before it has a chance to become established. Colds, flus, viruses and other sickness has no place in a person who belongs to Jesus Christ.

Thank you for your great comment!
