Moving against the mainstream flow of popular beliefs is the focus of this evening’s sermon. Beliefs concerning God as Creator and Genesis 1 and 2 continue to be questioned and are under attack in one way or another by many Christians as well as by atheists and unbelievers. Trying to come up with a place to start as there are hours of testimony and teachings I could share, I decided to start near the beginning with testimony and revelations that the Holy Spirit has brought to me. I am going to work to convince you that Jesus has called me to engage the confusion and attitude surrounding God as Creator, His Creation and Genesis 1 and 2.
Vision - Unsnarling Tangled Up Vine Branches
I will begin with a vision I experienced early in January (5) of 2003.
I woke up about 5 a.m. on that Sunday morning and started thinking about an internet ministry I believed I was to establish. I started considering the writings I had already completed. As I was thinking about how to move forward with this, I experienced this vision.
In the vision, I saw a large pile of snarled up vine branches. My thought was about what is to be done with this tangled up mess of branches. Suddenly, a man appeared in the vision. He was dressed in farming clothes and was carrying a long handled tool - like a hoe or pitchfork. Dropping in right behind him, the figure of another man started to appear. He was dressed the same way and carrying a tool. As he came into fuller view another man started to appear behind him and then another. To me, it looked as if they were planning to take on the task of unsnarling and clearing away these entangled vine branches.
At least partly because of other revelations and the understanding I already had, I pretty much knew what this vision was about. I believe it was projecting that the time had come to unsnarl the vine branches that have become so entangled, so the TRUTH of God's Word can be heard, seen, and understood more clearly. The men who appeared probably represent angels who have been assigned to the task of unsnarling the vine’s branches.
Jesus said, 5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing." John 15:5.
The task is to bring into order the mixed up ideas and man’s entangled imaginations. In other words, to undo the compromises that have been made to the very Word of God.
I know God wants us to see who He is clearly. God wants all the glory for His Creation. We need to honor Him instead of questioning Him and His Word. We truly dishonor God much much more than what we realize. Also, I know God wants His sons and daughters to be prepared for what is still to come in these the end of days.
The Holy Spirit has been working with me in three specific areas: Genesis and Creation, Divine Healing, and the End of Days with the Removal of the Church. I have come to realize that what Jesus has been preparing me for is, in a very real way, to buck the tide of popular beliefs in these specific areas. I ask that you just keep this in mind. This evening the concentration is on the truth of the Creation Account.
I did establish an internet ministry. First, I set up my own website. But, for the past three years, I have been posting blogs on Christianblog.com I am soon to post my 260th blog. The majority of blogs share testimony and have an element of teaching involved in them. They cover the three specific areas I just mentioned.
Next, I want to share a dream that could tie in with this church.
It was probably in 2005 when I experienced this dream. In the dream I am giving instruction to a young man who is dressed in a brightly colored short sleeve shirt. I am telling him about how this ministry always starts in Genesis. The man appears to be in some way associated with the ministry.
He is standing in front of a display of hanging signs. I clearly see that each sign has the word Genesis on it and under the word Genesis is either a topic or a verse. As the dream is coming to an end, one of the signs comes into clear focus directly in front of my eyes. And, on this particular sign there is just one word. That word is RESURRECTION.
Here is a good example of the idea of connecting Genesis, the beginning, with the resurrection of Jesus Christ and with the future resurrection of the bodies of the righteous at the time of the rapture.
What makes me think that this dream is connected with what I am and will be doing with this church is that I am now associated with Pastor Kenny. First, I offered a library of books, videos, DVDs and other resources on the evidence for Creation. I now set up The Creation Evidence library once a month from September through May in the fellowship hall. The congregation is welcomed and encouraged to check out any of these resources and so can the parents of children who are being home schooled. The library is made up of resources I have purchased over probably the last ten years.
Since last fall, I have been teaching on Genesis 1-11 in Kids Church on one Sunday per month during the early service. We are about to dive into Day 5, the creation of sea and flying creatures. The study we are doing is not just on the surface. We are examining with depth the truth as God presented it to Moses and is recorded in Genesis 1 and 2. We are exploring how scripture and physical evidence supports God’s Word. God’s act of Creation took place in six literal days between 6,000 and 7,000 years ago.
End Time Dream
I have experienced seven dreams concerning the end times. Four of these dreams had messages from the Holy Spirit as part of the revelation. Three dreams were linked together. By these three confirmations:
** There were 3 dreams with spoken messages from the Holy Spirit
** All 3 dreams were received during the early morning hours of a Sunday
** And there were exactly 3 weeks in between each of the 3 dreams.
Tonight I am sharing just the first of these three dreams. It is connected to the work God has been preparing me for in these end times. Experienced in the early morning hours of Sunday, March 3, 2002
Dream 1 with Message
I was just starting to doze off when I entered into this dream. I was thinking about a young boy on the street. It seems as if he is outside of a store or shopping mall. The boy appeared to be very sad and he was saying no one cares about me. I went over to him and started to talk with him. I told him about Jesus and how Jesus cares. As I continued talking with the boy, people and more people and more gathered around us. I turn toward the crowd of people and I tell them to read 1 Corinthians 15:22.
It was about 2 a.m. that Sunday morning when my curiosity became so great that I turned on the light and looked up 1 Corinthians 15:22 in the Bible. It reads:
"For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive." (KJV)
***An Attention-grabbing Confirmation:
During that Sunday morning's sermon, there was a connection between this particular Bible verse and the content of the pastor's sermon. At the very end of the sermon, the pastor referred to and recited this very verse, 1 Corinthians 15:22. His doing so was definitely no coincidence. It was orchestrated by God and served as confirmation that this dream experience had been provided by God.
Here again, Genesis, the beginning, Adam’s sin bringing death into the world connected to Christ’s overcoming death through His resurrection and making available to us eternal life.
I will be coming back to 1 Corinthians 15 toward the end of the sermon.
Declaring God as Creator
Now, I want to go back to the first revelation I had. This experience happened before I was born again in Jesus Christ. It was one of the experiences I had as the Holy Spirit was wooing me to Jesus.
In early August of 2001, I was driving south on Hwy 169, just north of Jordan, Minnesota, where a bend in the road allowed me to see a beautiful array of green trees, the blue sky, clouds and lowlands and even the little stream all in one long glance. I was arguing in my mind about God and whether He really existed. I looked up and said something like, "I know you exist God, look at all of this, it had to have been created, it could not just have happened!"
I could not deny nor reject God's existence. As I have reflected upon this experience, I strongly believe that, for God's reasons, I had to make this declaration - God is The Creator.
Expose The Work of Satan
Much of my attention has been drawn to and focuses on exposing the work of Satan. The Holy Spirit spoke this assignment to me on October 27, 2001:
Minister to (His) children;
Focus on the young (in Christ);
These little ones will become lights in the darkness;
Expose the work of Satan;
Focus on eternity;
Evangelistic in nature;
Far reaching;
Five years.
It was on Tuesday, October 2, 2001, at about 12:30 a.m. that I surrendered and committed the rest of my life to Jesus. When my spirit was quickened and the Holy Spirit took up residence in me, I felt a strong sense of urgency. I sensed there was something Jesus wanted me to do. So, I prayed earnestly and about three weeks later, Saturday, October 27th the Holy Spirit spoke within me this assignment. The next afternoon, He instructed me on how this would be accomplished.
The spoken instruction was:
Lay a foundation;
Gather materials; (don’t reinvent the wheel)
Write; (I believe, varies kinds of materials)
Recruit others; (other born again Christians)
Develop methods to use for the ministry
The assignment and instructions were the first of three revelations concerning the work Jesus has prepared in advance for me to do. The other two revelations were given after a period of birthing time in between each revelation. Each of the three were spoken on a Saturday (a Sabbath) with 38 weeks in between the first and second spoken revelation and 39 weeks in between the second and third revelation. Total 77 weeks.
Ministry Mission
Nine months later (38 weeks), on Saturday (a Sabbath), July 20, 2002, the Holy Spirit spoke this mission:
A Spiritual Leader
Strengthen "The Church"
Prepare Souls for Eternity
After receiving the first assignment and being exposed to evidence supporting the Creation Account, I worked at gathering materials. This is basically how the Creation Evidence library came into existence. I believed I was obeying God by collecting these resources on Creation and Creation evidence. I have also gathered resources on end time events and on healing.
The Sun is Shrinking
In mid-December of 2001, a more intense concentration on creation began. One evening, I tuned in to the TBN channel and the program called Creation in the 21st Century was on. This soon became a favorite program. What really stood out during this first program was the information about the sun. The host, Dr. Carl Baugh, discussed the decreasing diameter of the sun. He said that the sun has been steadily decreasing in size and even, I believe he said, 20,000 years ago the heat of the sun would have been too great for life to exist on the face of the earth.
Evidence shows that the sun's diameter has been decreasing by about one tenth percent per century, which translates to the sun shrinking about five feet per hour. If you believe the literal truth of the Bible that God's creation week took place between 6,000 and 7,000 years ago then there isn't any real problem. In 6,000 years the sun has shrunk about 6%. However, if the sun existed 100,000 years ago, it would have been double its present diameter. Twenty million years ago, the surface of the sun would have been touching the Earth.
Anthropology Course:
Moving on. While attending college in the mid-1960s, I took an anthropology course that presented an evolutionary approach to explaining how mankind came into existence. I remember learning about possible transitional links and pre-modern man including the Neanderthal Man and the Cro-Magnon Man. At the time I actually enjoyed the class, but, what I could not reconcile within me was that these beings supposedly lived before, long before, God made the first man Adam, blatantly contradicting Genesis 1and 2 of God’s Word. I came away from this class confused. Things were not making sense to me. This uneasiness of not knowing or being sure lingered with me and it worked in a way that made me question whether I was able to accept the Bible as the authoritative truth.
Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
If the assumption I just stated, this truth from God's Word, had been used and fully supported by Christians, I do not believe we would have a large number of adults, youth and children believing that either man evolved from apes or that somehow God used evolution over a great period of time to bring man into existence.
It is important to understand that any use of evolution, I am referring to macro-evolution (vertical evolution), would have to involve mutation, suffering and death as part of the transitional process. No, God did not use macro-evolution as His process for creation. Death did not come into this world until after Adam and Eve committed man's first sin against God.
When I read the book Unlocking The Mysteries Of Creation by Dennis R. Petersen early in 2002, I saw clearly the stuff I had been taught in that anthropology class was false. The missing transitional links, that some were searching for in the effort to link in an evolutionary chain... ape to ape-man... to man, are all still missing. That is because there are no links. Man is and always has been fully man. We all have descended from Adam and Eve.
After reading this particular section of the book, I literally danced around my home for about a week. Go God Go! - was my victory cry. Praise the Lord! The unhealthy burden and this hindrance lifted from me. The truth had set me FREE. Praise the Lord. Honestly, it did not take much more beyond this to convince me that God's account of a literal six day creation and His creation of man is truth. However, it was quite a jolt to realize and take into my heart the understanding that the heavens and earth were created between 6,000 and 7,000 years ago. They were not created millions or billions of years ago.
God's Word makes much more sense than mans' word. God’s Word brings with it a sense of comfort, it brings the knowledge that creation occurred less than 10,000 years ago, the worldwide flood took place about 4,400 years ago, The Word was made flesh – became Jesus about 2,000 years ago and we are waiting with anticipation for the very soon return of our Lord and Savior. No God has not dragged things out for millions and billions of years. God’s plan for our salvation and His putting evil to an end, has not gone on and on and on. God’s Word does put the pieces together for us, which is far far better than buying into the deception of Satan that has been brought to us by the words of men.
Believe His Word
As I was being taught about Creation, the Holy Spirit clearly spoke these words: “Believe His Word, not man’s word.” I am fully committed and stand steadfast in believing the literal truth of Genesis and believing all of God’s Word.
It was probably in January or February of 2002, when I said to the Lord that I really did not want to teach science verses creation. I wanted to share the truth of Creation and wanted to talk about Jesus Christ. I really did not want to have to learn more about man’s imaginations that is referred to as science. It was at about this point in time that the Holy Spirit led me to Answers in Genesis.
It was Answers in Genesis that pointed me to the proof found in Scripture regarding how long God’s week of Creation truly was and how long ago God’s creative work took place. I, also, love the fact that God’s Word straight out refutes the idea of macro-evolution. All life created according to its kind! Praise the Lord.

The Alpha and The Omega: the Beginning and the End
Two more thoughts to go. I used to ask myself what does Jesus mean when He tells us He is the Alpha and the Omega - The Beginning and The End. What was the beginning of Jesus and what is the end He is referring to. Not long ago, I received this revelation:
The Alpha, the beginning of Jesus happened when God spoke forth The Word for the very first time. Genesis 1:3, God said, “Let there be light.” Throughout the Old Testament “The Word” is spoken. Prophecy is given. Then, in John 1: The Word is made flesh, it becomes Jesus, and we are told Jesus is the light of the world. Praise God, Alpha, the Beginning was when God spoke forth The Word.
The Omega, the end, brings us back to 1 Corinthians 15 verses 20–28 NKJV
20 But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21 For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. 23 But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ’s at His coming.
24 Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. 25 For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. 26 The last enemy that will be destroyed is death. 27 For “He has put all things under His feet.” But when He says “all things are put under Him,” it is evident that He who put all things under Him is excepted.
28 Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all. NKJV
Jesus, the beginning and the end. The end comes when Jesus delivers the kingdom to God the Father and He, too, becomes subject to God.
He does ALL for us who believe and have surrendered our lives to Him. All who have made Him Lord!
The Gospel starts in Genesis
When I told my two daughters separately that I had given my life to Jesus and received Him as Lord and Savior, each of them responded with the exact same sentence, which basically was, "I don't know why you have to believe in Jesus?" Then, each one went on in support of other religions stating why can't people just believe in their version of God? The important thing is that they believe in God isn't it? Their words "I don't know why you have to specifically believe in Jesus" still resonates within me.
I truly believe that God wants me to begin in Genesis, especially the first eleven chapters, in the sharing of the Good News of Jesus Christ. Satan's great lie of macroevolution has made many leery of the authority, the accuracy, and the literal truth of God's Word. Many people including Christians have accepted the lie or parts of the lie. Often churches shy away from the first 11 chapters of the Book of Genesis. Sometimes this is done for fear of division and controversy within their church or sometimes just to be politically correct.
Genesis is where the very foundation is laid for the Gospel (Good News) of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and for the entire Bible. There is much in Genesis 1-11 that is just brushed over, not understood, and practically ignored.
I know, that I know that I know I have been called to bring Genesis to light and to life for others. I know that I am to connect the beginning with the end. The Holy Spirit has formed in me a passion and desire to share who Jesus is and why He had to shed His precious blood. He was / is the only acceptable sacrifice. He had to become the sacrificial lamb for our salvation.
Amen.
