The Book of Ruth

The Book of Ruth

Some interesting facts:
a) Naomi s husband and two sons died, and she was left with the two widows of her sons and no sons to carry their name.
b) Naomi, after deciding to go back to Bethlehem, send the widows back to their land but Ruth was determined to go with Naomi to Bethlehem.
c) The role of a kinsman-redeemer
d) The Lord s favor upon Naomi
e) The greater purpose of God for Ruth ( the great-grandmother of Jesus)

Questions:
a) Why is it that the scenario between Ruth and Naomi is being used today in marriage vows?
b) What can we learn from the lives of Naomi and Ruth?
c) As you read please notice how each woman responded to their situation individually.

Ruth 1:16b-17
Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God. Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried .if anything but death separates you and me.

>> I encourage to share what you've learned :)
>> Take note of everything that you've observe and discuss it with your family and friends
>> ... and let us be reminded that Bible reading is not just for information but more of personal transformation
>> ... so let us practice to live what we learn

God bless everyone!

  Hey Dora.

I love the book of Ruth. If I have preached on it once I have preached on it one hundred times and every time I learn something new.
