Many Christian Blogs today are written about habitual use of drugs and/or alcohol, moderate use of drugs and alcohol, depression, greed, prosperity, fornication or other sinful matters that commonly arise...but what about "religious habits?" For instance...Getting satisfied in hearing someone preach? Quoting scripture with a head full of knowledge and a heart full of sin, praying amiss or perhaps selfishly for "I", "me", or "mine", or even going through the motions of church attendance without connection to Christ in the Spirit. Some religious people believe they can even "tithe" their way to Heaven. (This argument arose between myself and a very close family member). Religious habits can cause people to miss Christ.
The focus of this Blog targets the habitual religious practice of getting people saved and/or re-saved at every "altar call" or at every Church service that is attended. Some organizations call this deliverance services. Some just say we're getting people saved which confuses people into misunderstanding that being saved is living a holy life. I call this habitual state, "Sinning Religion" not Christianity.
Religious people are sometimes brainwashed into believing that Satan is equal to Christ. WRONG! Christ created Satan and has authority over Satan. Some people are taught subliminally to magnify Satan more than Christ. Christ actually has Satan under His complete control. Glory! Unlearned religious people have a tendency to magnify and glorify Satan more that Christ. How sad! The truth is and the Bible teaches...Satan an enemy of God is at footstool of Christ. Glory! Christ is God! Christ's enemies are His footstool! The Bible says so! Christ is "far above" the power of Satan. Satan has to flee the authority of Christ. Devil's tremble because Christ is God!
Satan wants people to be tied up in habitual religious practice. To Satans glee he wants people to have bad habits. Religious habits get people's minds and thinking away from the authority and person of Christ just like Satan wants. When people are tangled up in habitual religion they can "miss" the power and presence of Christ; and His Salvation that morally changes the human soul. Did you know you can be "preserved" in Christ and the Christian life of holiness? Did you know the Bible teaches we are "kept" by the power of God through faith? Religious people can become so deceived that they actually believe a lie. They get a misconception of what true Christianity is! Deception can lead the unlearned, the weak in faith, or the deceived into believing that sinning all week and going to the altar on Sunday is a the Christian way of life. WRONG! This is not full time Christianity...this is sinning religion. Religious people (this includes ministers, theologians, pastors, and many self seekers in organized religion) can actually "fall into" this bad habit. Sad but true! Then the Devils got them just where he wants them...away for Christ! Confused! Deceived like Eve!
Where is the miracle of the new birth? Where is forgiveness of sin and holiness of heart? Where is the clean heart the Bible so adamantly teaches that believers experience? Where is the clean heart that is found when the Grace of God liberates the sinner from sin? Where is the purity of forgiveness and freedom of guilt after the sinner is washed in the Blood of Christ?
Remember, forgiveness for sin is found through trusting Christ...not asking over and over and over again. Your supposed to walk and live in Christ forgiven, pardoned, and justified in the eyes of God! Grace gives you the power to "QUIT" sin after forgiveness is found. Forgiveness is found when you trust Christ. Liberation is found when you trust Christ. Where is the life of victory in Jesus like walking in the Spirit and not in the flesh? If Christians lived and "were taught from these pulpits today" they could have "constant" victory over sin and Satan... the Christian life would be different. If you're in the habit of religious habits, "Get out of that way of thinking". Christ has something better for you. It's the new life found in the person of Christ!
Did you know running to the altar to be saved or forgiven from sin can actually be habit-forming? Like smoking a cigarette? There are people who habitually go to the altar to be saved or forgiven every time they go to Church. Week after week. Defeat! No life! No Victory! Very religious! Repetitive! Deceptive! Where do these religious habits come from? YOU! NOT SATAN. Did you hear me? YOU. Sometimes you are your worst enemy...not Satan. Get it clear. Sometimes its you problem. Get out of the way. Let Christ take over.
My Brothers and sisters running to the altar at every church service can become a bad and religious habit. Being taught to be saved or confused into being re-saved over and over again can become a religious motion (in the name of Christianity) without life in the Spirit with total victory. This form of religious habit can be very confusing and very habit forming.
As you know God has compelled this writer to magnify the person of Christ and His holy power and presence. What a blessing to have victory that Christ gives to his saints who live according to God's holy standard! Christ breaks habits. Christ gives victory over self! Christ delivers men from depression. Christ makes us "more than conquerors". It's called having a better life. This better life is preservation in Christ. Holy and without blame before Him in love. True Christianity in its most pure form.
All written to say one thing, "Religious habits are dangerous. Religious habits are deceptive. Religious habits can be broken by the right understanding of Christ". How? When Christ is experienced in your life "after" your sins are forgiven. Christianity is not sinning and asking for forgiveness over and over. Christianity is not running to the altar over and over again. Christianity is when Christ is found, forgiveness is found, and the holy heart is found...through realization of the power of Christ in your life. Glory!
That's freedom! That's the simplicity of Christianty! No struggle with self or religion. Owned, ruled, and controlled by Christ. YOur total bein in subjection to HIm! Sanctifying Power comes from Heaven where Christ is exalted now! He's alive. His presence is known around the world! You are God's property! Glorify God in your body and Spirit from now on. Good-bye bad habits...hello Jesus! Every day of your life with Christ in control...until the Rapture of the Church. This writer declares, "GLORY TO CHRIST IN THE HIGHEST!" Read it!
