2008 is a year of breakthrough
#1 - 2008 will be a year of breakthrough for many. Last night Mindy and I met with a group of prophets in Jacksonville. One of the words that came forth was that in order to see breakthrough we have to pray, worship or fast until something actually happens or until breakthrough occurs. Just praying more or fasting a day every now and then, won't work in this season. I hear the Lord saying that we're entering a period of great intensity and the levels of opposition against us have already established. Our previous levels of spirituality will not bring the increase necessary for victory. The enemy has to be driven off our territory and this year the levels needed for our breakthrough will be established. Matthew 11:12 will be the passage we begin to understand. 12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. Corporately in 2007 our personal kingdoms (body, soul and spirit) suffered violence(attacks). In 2008 victory is ours, but acceleration in our intensity is absolutely necessary.
#2 2008 is a year of new beginnings. New beginnings always start with birth taking place. I heard Jim Goll talk about this and used a caterpillar turning into a butterfly as an example. Something beautiful is being formed, but it's in the struggle to come out of the cocoon that the strength necessary to fly is achieved. Jesus loves us enough to let us fight our way out. In this struggle the Apostolic will be established in our lives and our love for God will grow. This birthing has been painful, and it will intensify in 2008 until completed, don't give up. Keep breathing and PUSH!
