Hmmmm...i thought it odd that there have been no comments here, so let me start with my thoughts...
It may me possibel that Sadaam could have been delivered from the darkness that ruled him...i wish i had prayed for him more... .
Ephesians 6:12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Blessings to you all

Well...Well...Well...I must confess that this is a doozy. I mean we (Christians) believe in a gospel that is able to reach to those in the thick of sin.
I had a conversation with a co-worker the other day about this subject. He said he had just finished reading a book about God being able to redeem anything. He concluded his comments on the book by saying it was great (to understand this side of our awesome God)...so I asked him, do you believe people like Saddam are redeemable?
He gazed at me like a deer in the headlights. And I saw in his face the same ambiguous inquisitiveness that was present in my heart. Yes, I believe that God can redeem anyone from any situation. That is precisely the gospel message. I even get to teach young people that on various occasions, but do I believe it?
Paul, a terrorist of sorts, became the greatest evangelist the world has ever known. Would we have killed him today directly after Stephen was stoned?
I don't want to be against capital punishment, but my heart aches for those who die by the sword of our government.
I remember a newspaper clip I pulled out for show and tell in grade school that said, "Why do people kill people, who kill people, to teach people not to kill people." And another famous quote that says, "When Jesus said, 'Love Your Enemies,' I think he meant we shouldn't kill them."
