Many Christians today are disillusioned being convinced the church is synonymous with the Church. There can be and often is nothing similar in the two. The church is a location where people assemble to worship while the Church is the body of Christ including all members of Christ world wide.
The church is physical and often religious while the Church is spiritual and united in LOVE. Religion is not the source of eternal life, JESUS is. Each one of us should be very comfortable and secure in being spiritual rather than religious while giving all the glory to God who has formed us through His Word.
Religion is that which causes division and strife in the church more often preaching “their” way rather than God’s way (JESUS).
Many of them proudly present their logo outside for all to see: Pentecostal . . . Baptist . . . Methodist . . . Lutheran . . . Etc. Many preach they are the only true church. Others preach that others may be found in heaven however they will have the greater reward. Is there any wonder why Jesus was more upset with the religious than He was with sinners during His ministry on earth?
People gather to worship in a church. However, not all who gather in a church are truly worshiping the one and only true and Living God. God hates the very thing many churches grow and thrive in which is covetousness .
Seeing what another has and desiring it for yourself is covetousness. Desiring wealth and riches are not the only forms of covetousness. Desiring your neighbor’s wife is also covetousness and it is sin if you dwell in it.
Some of the worse forms of covetousness can be found in offering the gifts of God for profit. Any activity which charges an admission or fee is not of God. The word of God is to be preached free of charge. Any minister who makes a decision whether or not to serve based on monetary and/or material gain should just stay home and allow one who truly serves God to minister. If you ever hear a minister say "send me your money and I'll give you my prayers ," stay far away from this apostate. He is a wolf in sheep clothing.
During any given assembly in any given church you can find both, members of the church and members of the Church. Some are tares and some are wheat (of the good Seed). Tares are members who have never entered into the true Church. Not one tare will be found in Jesus!
Who are you? Are you a tare or are you part of the wheat? Each of us needs to completely search ourselves and know our own heart. The answer to this question has eternal consequences for all of us and each of us individually.
One day Jesus will say to many: “I never knew you .” By the Spirit of God I beseech you: Inventory yourself this moment. Be sure you will never hear these words come from the mouth of Jesus.
By the Spirit of God I tell you now: “Change is coming !” Today is the day of salvation. Do an inventory. Be sure change has come to you and therefore you are wheat and ready for the Change (harvest) which is coming soon.
Blessings in the name of Jesus,
Tch
