Christian, You Have Responsibility in this World!

I am alarmed at how withdrawn many Christians are from the current political posture and direction of America.

Many accuse Christians who are concerned and involved of making idols of a political party or of leaders of the particular party they are supporting. They see politicians and civil government as evil and something Christians should not concern themselves with.

Everything is going to happen just as it is appointed to happen is their attitude. It is as if they believe Christians have no responsibility in this world other than reaching the lost for Christ.

American society is in a steep moral decline. Abortion is no longer a decision of saving a woman’s life but an accepted form of birth control. Even within many so called Christian denominations homosexuality is an open and accepted way of life.

While tolerance is demanded of Christians the intolerance of Christian tenets of faith and of our Savior by another religion is widely accepted and justified by people in high places of government.

While Jesus did say we are in this world but not of this world He never excused us from presenting, defending, and supporting truth and life in this world.

In this world, and especially in this country, we defend our right to teach and practice what we believe through the casting of our vote. Our freedom can be taken away! All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing ” (Edmund Burke).

Christian, you have a responsibility. If you choose not to fulfill your responsibility then when the faithful Christian Church is further attacked over the next four years you will have no right to complain.

Ministers . . . The Church is under attack. Under the current flow of things I perceive over the next four years intensified persecution of faithful ministers and of the Church of our Living God.

Any Church refusing to ordain same sex marriage and not accepting homosexuals into ministry or leadership positions within the church will, at the minimum, have their tax exempt status taken away.

After this, because of extreme taxation and the inability of local faithful assemblies to pay, they will be forcibly closed. Government agents will come. They will confiscate all the Church property and lock the doors. The meeting place will be closed and Christians will be forced, if they are to remain faithful , to meet incognito or in hidden places.

The Christian message is already being labeled as a message of hatred.

Many Christians today desire to see the Church as it was in Acts during the beginning. Careful what you pray for!

Christians . . . Take a stand . . . Support the path you determine best leads to continued Christian freedom in this country.

Blessings,
Tch

Good blog. I agree that this is the most important election of our times. If a change is not made in November, it might not be possible to change leaders in the future. The news media has completely sold out and is no longer journalism - it is merely progaganda for one party. All these abuses of government power would not be possible without the cooperation of the news elites. - biblebuy

TCH, I believe your assement is correct. The Church is about to come under attack in a way we never imagined it would or could in this Union of States that came into being by fighting and defeating the most powerful nation on earth for their right to live as one nation under God. I also believe it is the fault of the Church for letting Satan take a statementment meant to keep government out of the Church and deceiving us into thinking it meant we are to keep the Church out of government. I agree with Tim, prayer, prayer, and more prayer is the only thing that is going to change the course of this nation.
Yours in Christ,
Lum

Thank you brother for reading and responding to this blog. I agree, we must pray, pray more, then pray again over and over. These are crucial times. While praying we also need to be listening. Our spiritual ears need to be opened to hear Him 24/7 . . . 365. Then we need to respond . . . just as His Spirit directs us.

All the prophets were called to prayer. Prayer was always the beginning. In every case we see prayer leading to action. We are not called to be idle in the affairs of our communities, our nation, and the world. We must make a difference!

Blessings,
Tch

You have written and published words so many are fearful to even say in their own homes. Where I live and work everyone presumes you are of one party, the rest whisper behind the closed doors. The future of our nation is on a precipice, either we change course, or the course is set for us. We need the great power of prayer. jd

Yes Sister . . . Amen and thank you.

During the last four years we have seen a push for Sharia Law being implemented in our courts. If this is accepted and implemented then today, for Christians, will be looked back upon as days of heaven on earth.

Great persecution of the Church and individual Christians is on the horizon here in America just as it already exists in Islamic States today.

We can make a difference!

Blessings,
Tch

According to the tv media and most newspapers, only two are running. Not real long ago everybody was included and given time at the debates and in media articles. That says an awful lot about our freedoms, and equality, and such. Some are so attached to a particular party that they will vote accordingly, no matter what they stand for. Yes, that is idolatry. We can watch the main media channels and tell pretty easily what party that one channel favors, whether it is Fox, Cnn, Nbc, etc, or the major newspapers too.

The real biblically sound christian is gonna be in the minority, but we do need to do our part in the process. I remember Mr. Falwell saying it is a sin not to vote, years ago. That is going too far. His sermons reflected a lot of political issues, much of the time, rather than what we are called to preach and witness.

Be good citizens. Fear God rather than men, but submit to authority. The powers that be are ordained of God. Even in our processes we use. Hard to understand that God allows free-will, and even uses for His purposes, but He does. He did with Egypt, Babylon, Medes and Persians, Greek, Rome. Israel. And still does today. The conditions they faced in Rome will be revived toward the end days. We already know that, through His word.

Thanks for blogging about the subject Tch. God Bless brother. Only in Christ Jesus, better days will come.

  Greetings brother Billy.

I'm not sure exactly what brother Falwell has said or not said. However, I do know there is not a one of us who has never said anything he/she didn't end up regret saying later. I know I have . . . on many occasions.

Is same sex marriage political? Is abortion political? If so, then I guess I'm political because I'll preach against these things from the pulpit and I'll do what ever I can to prevent these things from becoming law in this wonderful nation God has blessed us with.

Is Sharia Law political? All that is required for it to become the law of our nation is for good people to do nothing, especially Christians.

Christians have become much too passive when it comes to politics. Yes, things will be just as God has ordained them to be however we are called not only to live our personal lives in accordance with Scripture but to witness our convictions to the world. We can't do this wrapping ourselves up in a cocoon and laying low allowing worldly people the only say in what is happening in our nation and in the world.

I'll never tell anyone, from the pulpit, who to vote for. However, I will preach and teach truth as found in Scripture. Any ear who can hear will know who to vote for. Everyone needs to let their voice be heard. Every one needs to vote their own conscience. The day will come when each of us will answer for all our actions, and lack of action.

Blessings brother and keep up the good work. The time is short.

In Jesus,
Tch

  Nice blog bro.

Jesus came to lay the axe to the root of the tree. The fruits of the tree are many - lying, stealing, coveting, anger, bitterness, etc. The root of them all, however, is to seek one's own. Here is where the axe must be laid. Otherwise we shall be deceived.
Thank you for sharing this thought with us bro.God bless
