I write about the message we have received from God through apostle John to present day saints who are living in the time of the Laodicean church. It is important to remember, especially in these times of darkness and deception, the words which John wrote are the Words God spoke directly to him and he wrote them down as he heard them.
Many years later God moved on holy men whom He had chosen and caused them to include John's letter in the Holy Scriptures which we find in our authorized bible today.
Only recently is God revealing this letter is written specifically for the Laodicean church, the most visible church existing at the end of the Church age.
When reading this First Epistle of John one would think it is best suited for the time of the Philadelphian church. John is known as the apostle of love. The Philadelphian church is known as the church of brotherly love. However, although all churches of the Church age have gleaned much from this letter, it is specifically written for today's majority church, the last church of the Church age, the Laodicean church.
John, in this letter to the Laodicean church, uses many contrasting statements. He speaks of light and perfect love and of darkness and sin. Even in his style he proves the new age message of the modern church to be nothing more than deception.
There still exists light and darkness, love and hate, righteousness and unrighteousness, good and evil, holiness and sin. The new age movement of the Laodicean church would have you only mention light, love, righteousness, good, and holiness with never an admonishment for anything of darkness, hatred, unrighteousness, or sin. The model is to preach only things that make people "feel good" about themselves. Their thoughts is any message which encourages self examination to see if one is living rightly before almighty God is judgmental and unloving.
One who closely reads the words of the First Epistle of John will see he speaks clearly of the problems found in this last day church and also of the remedy. John says clearly we are in the last hour and implores the church to live righteously and holy.
John pulls no punches, there being no darkness in anyone who loves and there being no light in anyone who does not love. God is light and anyone who is in God is in light and there is no darkness in him. Anyone who says they have fellowship with God and walks in darkness is a liar.
Yes, John is this bold. John would not be allowed to preach in most assemblies of the Laodicean church of today.
Everyone who walks in the light has fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus cleanses them from all sin. Anyone who says they have no sin deceives themselves. We live in flesh bodies and these flesh bodies are going to find opportunity for sin.
Being in fellowship with God we confess our sins and He is just to forgive us of our sin and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
This is being in right standing with God and the reason it can be said, "He who is born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him, and he cannot sin because he has been born of God."
Do you see this is speaking of the fellowship we have with God. We are in continuous fellowship with God keeping us in Christ Jesus therefore any fleshly sin committed outside of our will is not imputed to us because we are hidden in Christ Jesus.
The remnant which emerges holy and blameless at the end of the age will be the ones who are in fellowship with God. To remain in fellowship with God one must obey the Word of God. The Holy Scripture tells us clearly those who want to be a friend to the world makes themselves an enemy of God.
Therefore, one must ask themselves, am I a friend of the world (meaning - is my desire for worldly possessions, recognition, power, or position)? If you are a friend of the world you are not in fellowship with God.
Therefore, one must ask themselves, am I sitting under worldly teaching and doctrines. Doctrines of riches, wealth, power, position, worldly favor, or "feel good" gospel. If you are a friend of the world you are not in fellowship with God.
At the end of this current age Jesus will come for His Church. His Church is spotless and blameless. The only way to be spotless and blameless is to be hidden in Jesus. The only way to be hidden in Jesus is to be in fellowship with God.
So I ask, are you a friend of the world or are you in fellowship with God? It cannot be both ways.
This is a question only you and God can answer and there is nothing which is hidden from God.
Being in fellowship with God and hidden in Christ Jesus sets us apart from the world and the things of the flesh because the redeeming blood of Jesus cleanses us. Therefore, there is no sin imputed to us.
Praise you Jesus!
My prayers continue for this last day church that eyes will be opened to see and ears to hear. It is time for sackcloth and ashes, time for repentance and a return to holiness for, as John has told us, we are in the last hour.
Blessings,
Tch
