I talked about God's master plan for fulfillment of Daniel's 70th week in my blog: The Revelation - Chapter 6 . This plan is written on a scroll which is sealed with seven seals.
The first seal introduces the man of sin who is to come. The first major campaign of this seven year period is in the spiritual realm. It is a battle for the hearts and souls of mankind.
Before the man of sin arrives on the scene the world is in a state of decay. Famines, poverty, collapsed economies, terrorism and wars and rumors of wars everywhere. No relief can be seen.
Worldwide, mankind is falling into a state of desperation and depression.
The man of sin arrives and suddenly there is peace. Terrorism comes to an end and countries put an end to hostilities. Economic woes quickly fade away and much hope for the future fills the hearts of mankind.
For the first 42 months things are looking good for this man of sin. It seems his dreams are going to be realized. Mankind is going to receive him as their Messiah.
Then, as the opening of the second seal reveals, there is a sudden change. He makes a huge error in establishing himself in the Holy Temple and proclaiming himself to be God.
Seals two through six reveal the great tribulation the Word tells us is coming and so many often talk about.
Opening of the seventh seal is the revealing of the sounding of the first trumpet which ushers in the final 42 months, the times of great tribulation (troubles and persecution).
Before this time begins some preparations must be made and many people put into place for their part during these final years.
Chapter 7 of The Revelation tells us of one group. It is 144,000 Jews who must be sealed before hostilities begin. They are composed of 12,000 of each of the 12 tribes of Israel.
These are redeemed by Jesus and are first fruits of the Millennial Kingdom on earth which is to come. They are commissioned and ordained by God to minister the Gospel of the Kingdom to all nations, tribes, peoples and tongues on earth.
They fulfill their calling well as is shown to us when we look into the future. We see a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands (Rev 7:9). The 144,000 sow and their harvest is plentiful.
There is no doubt who these souls are. These are souls who were saved during the great tribulation and overcame until death (Rev 7:14).
Many wonder if tribulation saints will return to earth to rule and reign with Jesus when He returns. Speaking of the saints we see in heaven in these verses it seems they won't. The word says: "They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them nor any heat; for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes ."
These things don't happen until we enter into the eternal (Rev 21). There are other verses in Scripture which seem to indicate they will return with Christ. Either way, which ever way God has ordained it to happen, let it be. God knows best and all He does is just.
There are other peoples and things which must be in place before the great tribulation of the final three and half years begin. They are as follows:
- The anti-Christ is given authority to make war for 42 months (Rev 13:5).
- Gentile armies are given authority to tread the Holy City underfoot for 42 months (Rev 11:2).
- Two Witnesses are ordained and commissioned to prophecy for 42 months (Rev 11:3).
- The Remnant of Israel is provided shelter for 42 months (Rev 12:6).
Blessings to all,
Tch
