The LORD is my Shepard, but Who is leading the Rest of the Country?
Three years ago we had two woman visit our Sunday school class from Australia. The class was discussing how America is slowly
turning away from any official references to GOD. These visitors said they believe Australia is even worst. The Australian government does not allow discussions about GOD in
school. As you know we have in these past three years
seen the government move much further than just not allowing our children to have school prayer. One school book, a friend told me about, included the history of Islam furthering the teachings of their prophet Mohammad but in the section on Chriastanity did not even mention the name of Jesus. These ladies said that their government is also removing any reference to GOD on their money. I understand we are looking at doing the same. Isn’t
it sad that we have come so far in this country that GOD cannot be mentioned? Now some of the political and government parties
want to take His name out of everything even our pledge of allegiance to the flag. I often wonder how anyone can take GOD out of their life. How do they cope with the trials and tribulations we encounter every day? Maybe the answer is that there are many people who are wandering from the truth and our Father is urging us to show them the way back. With the help of the Holy Spirit we can find these lost ones and help them to return.
“My Brothers, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring him back, remember this: who ever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save him from death and cover over a multitude of sins.” James 5:19-20 There is nothing like finding the lost sheep remember what the LORD told Jeremiah: “My people have become lost sheep, their shepherds
have led them astray; they have made them turn aside on the mountains, they have gone along from mountain to hill and have forgotten their resting place.” Jeremiah 50:6
But Jesus told us what to do with the lost sheep. “There will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.
