Where is your Home?

Where is your home?
My wife asked me on our first date where I was from. I had traveled quite a lot and had lived in more than a few cities so I told her; I am from where I am living now. She then said, no I mean where is your home? I told her that I had an office in Dallas and a home in St Louis. She in her southern accent then pursued the question further, No I mean where are your people from? I finally understood what she was looking for and said I’m from Columbus, Ohio, if that’s what you mean? You see home means many things to different people. It’s the place where you and the family live, or it could be the place where you were born. With our society being so mobile today there are many answers for the question,” Where is your home?” I don’t believe that there is a right or wrong answer when defining where your home is on this earth. Now the big question is where is our real and forever Home? The answer is in Revelations. “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from GOD, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying Look! GOD’s dwelling place is now among the people, and He will dwell with them. They will be His people and GOD Himself will be with them and be their GOD. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” Revelation 21:1-4
