Ideas on the Two Witnesses

Since God has never -except for the brief moment of the transfiguration, taken anyone out of their time-zone to do the work of the Lord, and since Jesus Himself said: "John the Baptist was the Elijah prophesied to come" -then I know the witnesses will be two Christians chosen by God Himself from among today's believers.
These two are alive today and belong to what is called in the book of Revelation: the church of Philadelphia -as all of us who have a personal relationship with Jesus do. But after the rapture, they will be sent back and also belong to the Laodicean church of the end. Keeping that in mind, is it not possible that these two, or at least one of them, will be the author of the Epistle from Laodicea? The warning in the book of Revelation is only for that book, not the entire Bible, because if it was for the entire Bible, then anyone who adds too or takes away from the Bible as a whole -whether or not it is in their mind or on paper to teach others, then they would have to come back to life in times past to experience all the plagues God mentioned in the Bible, and how can that be when we are given only one lifespan to live here on earth in our corrupted by sin bodies? The eternal torment doesn't experience the same type of destruction we endure while we are here on earth, it's different, and in a different realm. And since Jesus said it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for any of His Words to pass away, and Paul did authenticate the Epistle from Laodicea as being a letter to the children of God, isn't it possible that it never got lost and it was to come from one of the two witnesses?
Isn't that the way the Word of God has always been written? I mean the Old Testament was written before the Lamb appeared. Then after He was crucified and then resurrected, the New Testament was written. And is this not the time of the end spoken of by the prophets of old and the Lamb Himself? Of course it is. And is there not prophesied to come to God's children two witnesses who will prophesy? Of course, and if it's not new prophecies given to the children of God what's the sense?
I know what I'm saying is something not all Christians will agree with, but give me a better explanation of Scripture.
FIRST) Has God ever taken anyone out of their natural time-zone and restored them to to do the work of the Lord -except for the brief moment of the transfiguration? NO. And thus the witnesses are not old Testament saints bought back to life prematurely before our Lord returns with all His Saints.
SECOND) How can we possibly think God would allow an important letter to His children -to get lost? And when the witnesses do come, how will we first be introduced to them if they do not begin to prophesy to us in a letter or book-that is naturally accompanied with signs and wonders proving they are who they say they are -because they do have powers from God?
THIRD) Does not Jesus say He is the same yesterday, today and forever? And thus, since God has always used people from their own time-zone to do the work of the Lord in the past, He will do the same now.
I say these things to get the children of God to think. We are the generation who will meet our Lord in the clouds, but before we do we must become the "United Bride of Christ" -and not remain the divided Bride of Christ. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt -that this final letter to God's children will be used to bring His children into one accord. God has revealed to me many things about these two who are already here. They are related: Grandfather and grandson. This final letter will come from the oldest of the two. They have both Jewish and Greek blood in their veins, yet they are both citizens of the USA. The oldest will become the 46th president of the USA. This will be the perfect platform for them to prophesy to entire world from. Many more things will be shared with the children of God, but they must be shared in this final letter that will be finished sometime next year -in 2007. The reason this letter is given before the rapture is so that -as these new prophesies are fulfilled along with all the miracles, the children of God will know beyond a shadow of a doubt that these are the two prophesied to come. These two will have the authority to raise the dead and heal any type of sickness and disease, and the ability to call forth missing limbs on people's bodies. They are given wisdom from the Holy Spirit to correctly discern previously written Scripture so that the children of God come together in one doctrine and one belief. This uniting together of the children of God will be something this world has never seen, and thus the harvest will be plenty. --To God Alone be the Glory!--
If anything I said is not of the Lord, may my name be stricken from the Lamb's book of life -as though it has never been written. And may my place of torment be greater than even lucifer's himself, for I have spoken when I should have died!

Stephen,

Welcome to the site! Interesting blog. The whole "time zone" concept never really occured to me. I tend to believe that God does not "see" time like we do. All of existence, time and space only occupy the corner of His eye. From our persepective, time is essential though. Thanks for the message.

Grace to you,
Vince

Stephen,
Intriguing, but I wonder what this "Lost Epistle from Laodicea" is? I have never heard of this. I am also not familiar with the notion that this Philadelphian Church will be raptured, then return to earth as the Laodicean church. Also, where did you get the ideas about the grandfather-grandson as the two witnesses and the elder being the 46th president? It's interesting to me, but would like more information on some of your proposals. I have read peices that claim that the U.S.A. and Great Britain are the two witnesses. Thanks.

Jeff,
Thanks for reading my blog. To begin with if, if you read the end of Colossians Paul tells the readers of the letter sent to the Colossians:

"After this letter has been read to you, see that it is also read in the church of the Laodiceans, and you in turn read the letter from Laodicea."
Colossians 4:16 (NIV)

Even though Paul authenticated the letter from Laodicea as being a letter given to the children of God, there has never been a letter -or Epistle, from Laodicea. Many people believe this letter is a letter Paul wrote to the Laodiceans. But Paul never said he wrote such a letter. All Paul said -as he was being led by the Holy Spirit, was that a letter was to come from the Laodicean church.
As far as the Philadelphian church being raptured and sent back, the only two members of the Philadelphian church who will return from the rapture and also belong to the Laodicean church are the two witnesses. -That's why it is written in Scripture:

"in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, (comma) -and we will be changed."
1st Corinthians 15:52 (NIV)

The reason the comma is placed where it's placed -is because not all of us who are alive and remain when the Lord calls us home will be made imperishable, like the dead in Christ shall be made. For the imperishable cannot die, and the witnesses die at the appointed time. Yes, they will be raptured and changed, but changed a little different. They will be given all their powers they will need to do the Lord's work and protect themselves, but they will not be made imperishable, and thus glorify God by their death at the appointed time.
And as far as me knowing they will be raptured and return, they are related, and the oldest will become the 46th president of the USA, this information is given to me by the Holy Spirit. God , over the last several years, has been telling me many things that will happen to many people. And as I've walked in obedience and prophesied, I've seen these things come to pass. And what is written here will come to pass also.
And as far as the Two Witnesses being Great Britain, the USA, the Church or any other non-human reference, these interpretations are incorrect.
-For in the book of Revelation it is written:

"Their bodies will lie in the street of the great city, which is figuratively called Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified."
Revelation 11:8 (NIV)

So any reference to them being anything but humans is incorrect, because only humans leave behind dead bodies when they die.
I hope I answered your questions to your satisfaction. What is written in Scripture is written, all other information I gave you will have to be taken by faith. But remember what I said in my blog, and again I say:
"If anything I said is not of the Lord, or if I knowingly go forth in a deception to the children of God, may my place of torment be even greater than lucifer's himself, for I have spoken when I should have died."

Stephen,

Thank you for some clarification. As you know, the Book of Revelation is shrouded in symbolism. I have been reading things that strongly hold to the law of double reference, where the book of Revelation has historical parts (Mohammed as the Red horseman, seal 6 = WWI and trumpet 5 = WWII) Another question is now raised in me: If the Two Witnesses are within the second woe, trumpet 6, how can they be doing their work if the rapture does not come until the "the last trumpet." Maybe you do not believe the rapture will occur at the 7th trumpet? I have read Tim LaHaye's and Jerry Jenkins' Are We Living in the End Times? and when talking about the rapture, they merely warn us by saying this "trumpet" of the rapture should not be confused with the 7th, or last, trumpet. They did a poor job of explaining why NOT to believe the last trumpet should be thought of as the 7th trumpet.

Jeff,
Again thanks for writing. As far as the seals and judgments go, God has given me understanding on some things, but not all things. The only thing I'm responsible for is to reveal to the children of God what His Holy Spirit tells me to reveal; no more and no less. I have not yet -at this time, deeply studied all the bowls and plagues poured out during that time of trouble called the "Tribulation hour" -so I will help you with what I can. But what I do know, is all the seals will be opened fully during the Tribulation hour, not before -although we are beginning to see some signs as birth pains -as Jesus predicted. But WW1 and WW2 are over, and thus not a part of the Tribulation hour. Most of the double references have to do with the letters to the churches. Although these churches where geographical areas of Paul's time, they are also moments in time. Thus the Philadelphia church gets raptured because in the book of Revelation it is written:

"Since you have kept My command to endure patiently, I will keep you from the hour of trial -(Meaning the Rapture will remove us from earth before this time begins), that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the earth."
Revelation 3:10 (NIV)

So the Spirit through John tells God's children who live during this time, which in now, that God Himself will "keep us from" the "hour of trial" thus, all Christians who are alive and well will be removed before the tribulation period begins. -As a matter of fact, the rapture will mark the beginning of the tribulation period!
And Jeff, the Laodiceans are -all except for the Two Witnesses, people who find Christ during that hour of great distress.
So the rapture does happen before the tribulation hour begins, as a matter of fact, when it's time for the Bride of Christ to go home the witnesses will announce it on public television, because it will happen during the first term of the older witness's presidency. I know who this person is, and because of all the fulfilled prophecies given in this final book of the Bible -about to be published, and all the miracles the Spirit of God will do through these two, the children of God will not be surprised at the coming rapture. You see the day and hour that's unknown is for the second coming, not the rapture.
You see when Jesus left He floated to the clouds, and as He did His disciples looked on in amazement, then suddenly two angels appeared and told these men that Jesus would return the same way He left. Thus, Jesus will float down from the clouds and touch earth. During the rapture, Jesus never comes to the earth, rather He stays in the clouds, thus the rapture is not considered His second coming. And the day and the hour that's unknown is only for His second coming, not the rapture.
As a matter of fact, concerning the rapture it is written:

"Now, brothers, about the times and dates we do not need to write you, for you know very well that the day of the Lord -(this reference meaning the rapture), will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, "peace and safety," destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.
But you, brothers, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief."
1st Thessalonians 5:1-4 (NIV)

So in the book of 1st Thessalonians it is written: "But you, brothers, -(meaning the Christians at the time who actually experience the rapture), are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief." So you see Jeff, although people teach no one knows when the rapture will occur, it is clear in the book of 1st Thessalonians -that when it happens, the Christian of that time will not be surprised. The unbelievers will, even though they hear it will happen by the announcement given by the 46th president of the USA, since they do not personally know Christ as their Messiah -they will laugh off the warning until it's too late, and thus they will be "Left behind".
As far as the rapture happening at the last trumpet blast, God will use this heavenly trumpet to announce many things, it doesn't mean the rapture trumpet blasts are the same blasts as the one used to announce the destruction that will come to the earth during the Tribulation hour. The rapture happens before the tribulation hour for one reason, and one reason alone. And it's not because of God's compassion -although that is part of it. The reason we get raptured is so that we are not forced to take the mark of the beast. You tell me Jeff, how -since salvation is eternal, can anyone bear both marks -meaning the mark of the beast and the Holy Spirit. -You see when we heard the Gospel of our salvation, having believed, we were marked with the Holy Spirit Who is a deposit and guarantee we are God's possession forever!
So it's clear the Holy Spirit marks us for God, and in the book of Revelation we read:

"A third angel followed them and said in aloud voice: "If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on the forehead or on the hand, he, too, will drink of the wine of God's fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of His wrath. He will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment rises for ever and ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and his image, or for anyone who receives the mark of his name."
Revelation 14:9-11 (NIV)

And thus, in the book of Revelation it is clear that anyone who receives this mark of the beast will be eternally damned. And since many of us are weak, like Peter was, at the fear of death -the Lord assured me many of His children would take the mark of the beast. Again I ask you: How can we bear two marks, one that guarantees us eternal life, and the second that guarantees us eternal damnation at the same time? Since both marks are absolute, it is impossible! -That's why we are raptured. So that God's children will not be tempted to take the mark of the beast out of the fear of death -because if we did, the Holy Spirit guarantees nothing!
Jeff, it's great your seeking God in wisdom and knowledge. As you read His Word daily, pray and ask for wisdom. -In all you do seek His knowledge and His Holy Spirit will guide you in truth. Be careful who you listen too, and always make sure what someone tells you is backed up Scripturally -as much as possible. New prophecies given, well, time will tell if someone -meaning: me also, is speaking the Word of the Lord. In time, when all I have to say to God's children comes to its fulfillment, then yes, people will know I speak the words of the Lord. Until then, I accept the fact that many people think I'm a nut -but who am I to listen too, man or God? And as it has always been in the past, people will criticize and ridicule the ones God has sent, me included.
I must get back to the work God has prepared for me to do. I'm single and I must work on this book -the Spirit of God is writing through me, a minimum of 20 hours per week, and I'm behind. So I'll end in a prayer:
"Heavenly father, I thank you for Jeff and the fact that he's seeking truth about this time of the end we live in. I ask that Your Holy Spirit guides him in truth and knowledge, and that he is not mislead by the evil-one. Guard his mind so that only truth will take a foothold as he grows in wisdom and knowledge. And I pray for all his friends and family, that You use Jeff as a witness to his loved ones, let him be an example -so that they will also come to the foot of the cross with a repentant heart, accept Jesus, and thus feast at the Lamb's wedding supper.
-I ask this in the Holy Name of Jesus, -Amen."

Talk to you later Jeff, your brother in Christ,
-Stephen A Comer-

Stephen,
Thanks again for the response. The day and hour that is not known is for the second coming not the rapture? In Matthew 24:40-41 "Two men will be in the field; one will be take and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left." Jesus is talking about the day and hour unknown. Having two men, one taken, and two women and one taken, sounds a lot like the rapture to me. How could this be referencing the second coming? Am I mistaken?

Jeff,
I don't have much to write at this moment, although I will get back to you later. Before Jesus returns He will gather his children just like He did with the rapture, but this time He will send His angels to gather them from the 4 corners of the earth, right before He returns. And yes they will simply disappear!
Thanks for the question,

Two witnesses will come during the first or second part of the seventh year tribulation (42 months). They will warn and preach about the second coming of Jesus Christ. They will supernaturally protect the Jews in Israel. Anyone who tries to them before their time will be in this manner be killed. If they run up to them, trying to kill them, they will breathe out fire out of their mouths and destroy them. They will be given power to change water to blood and great signs and wonders. While at the same time, The Antichrist, will be working false signs and lying wonders that if possible, will deceive the very elect. At the end of 3 1/2 years, God will allow the antichrist to crucify them, and their bodies will lay where our Lord was crucified. Then on the third day, Jesus will come, sound the last trumpet--with the trump of God, then the Spirit will enter into them, and they and all christians who died in Christ will be raised with glorified bodies, and be caught up in the sky. Then those who are still living will also be caught up with them in the clouds, and they will forever be with the Lord...

Just like Jesus death, ended the age of the Law and his resurrection started the Church Age. Now, the death will be the last Christians to die, and they will be the first to be resurrected at the trumpet call of God. When we all are change into our glorified bodies, this signify the end of the Church Age and the start of a new age, "The Kingdom Age", who Jesus Himself and his Bride will rule over the angels of heaven and caretakers and teachers of the children who had died in this life, and had not opportunity to make a choice between Jesus Christ or Satan! That is why Satan is in prison for a 1,000 years. After the 1000 years, Satan will be loose out of his prison... . Then the children, all grown up in the millennial kingdom, will make their choice that will determine their destiny.

Question: DO YOU THINK DURING THE KINGDOM AGE, THE LAW WILL BE RECONSTITUTED AS THE LAW OF THE LAND? PLEASE EXPLAIN!

Bornagain,
The Bible states we are given but one life in these corruptible, sinful, bodies of ours. We are given but one moment in time to make a decision for or against Christ as our Lord. I disagree with what you believe that all the children that died before reaching the age of accountability will be given the chance to accept the Lord. All the little ones that were aborted or died young already are in heaven. And they will come with Christ in their glorified bodies also. Anyone who dies without fully understanding sin is forgiven by the blood of the Lamb. That's why Jesus said: "Let the little children come to Me and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Even though we were born with a sinful nature. Until we fully understand what sin is, we are innocent before the Father through the Holy Lamb of God Almighty!
And as far as the Law being reinstated. Yes animal sacrifice will resume to teach people why the Lamb of God was sent. For without the shedding of blood no sins are ever forgiven. Jesus will rule and reign as King of kings and Lord of lords until the thousand years are over, then yes lucifer will be released so the inhabitants of the earth -born during the reign of Christ will be fully tested and have to choose who to believe.
Look for the witnesses to be revealed very soon. You can think I'm nuts, that's Ok.
Your brother in Christ,
Stephen A Comer
