Vision
The man looked into my eyes, and I saw stars explode and the birth of infinite universes. I saw worlds held in the palm of a hand as the breath of life was breathed into them. I saw depthless valleys filled with the waves of raging seas, mountains bursting countless thousands of feet into the air from far below. I saw supernovas explode into nothingness. I beheld stars and planets as they performed a perfect dance with a single command, and the creation of life with the utterance of a mere thought. Then I saw an gigantic figure, immense palms once again stretched out into infinite space. I began to fly at warp speed toward the figure.
As I drew near, I saw a tiny grain of sand, motionless and lifeless. As I watched, the large figure spit upon the grain of sand and began to rub it between his palms. He held his hands out again and a wind began to blow upon the grain. The grain pulsed and grew, began to move of its own accord. It slowly took on shape and form. As I drew near, and as the figure grew, I realized I was watching my own birth.
Then I saw my life acted out in the palm of my Creator. Angry words, thoughtless deeds, complacency and a broken life were brought to bear upon me. All my failures and sorrows I had caused other people were laid before me. The view shifted one more time to the one who held all things in his hands, and I was overwhelmed with grief and fear. I began to realize how small and unworthy I really was.
I found myself on my knees in sorrow before my Lord. I knew now that His words were true and that He was the Creator and Master of all things.
"Friend, it is time to make your own choice. You know what you need to do if you desire to enter with me. If you choose well, your life will be happy and blessed, though it will not always be easy. To choose as your companion has chosen means a life full of unhappiness and death. What choice will you make, Friend?"
