A Question For You

Update on knee, I fell on my knee yesterday and it made my tumor inflamed so much, so I am very worried about it. Otherwise, the pain is gone!

I have a question, and I would love anyones answer, but I really have been wondering about this. Many of you don't know, but I am not very familiar with the Bible. I just don't know all of the people, and I find that at times, I am not understanding it (My NKJV bible), so this question may bring you responses such as: does she ever read the Bible? wow, and she is Christian? and such. The reason why I am asking this here, other than a place such as Yahoo Answers, is because I know that I can trust your words, and I really appreciate your in depth, personal, responses. God, Jesus, the Lord, Holy Spirit. What are the differences of these people? When we begin a prayer, I say Dear Lord or Dear God, but when I end it I say In Jesus's name (Amen). Why do we address two different names? Are they the same people? When I pray, who is the one that is there? In Heaven when we sit on the throne next to Him, who is *He*? Sorry to burden you all with numerous questions, but it would tremendously assist me in school, life, decision making, and especially prayer, if I can have a deeper understanding of this.

Thanks to everyone who answers, you are a true blessing!

Lots of blessing and prayers your way.

Sister Writerofthoughts, there are 3 persons in the Godhead. God the Father, God Jesus the Son and God the holy Spirit. They are the same God but they have different roles .

The Bible teaches us to pray to the Heavenly Father and to end the prayer in Jesus name. It's because God the Father will honour the things we pray in the name of His precious Son who had sacrificed His life for our redemption and for our Salvation, the Son who has obeyed the Father and has done what God the Father wanted Jesus to do: to die for our sins.

So Jesus was exalted above all things in Heaven and on earth for His obedience and for His lvoe for us.

Getting to know the Bible and to know God is a lifelong matter and pursuit. It requires daily reading of the Bible, bit by bit and also understanding what you read. It also requires in depth studies, which even many theologians of all ages are still studying and many are still learning. I believe we will still be reading the Bible when we reach Heaven. So it's good to start now on earth.

You can also join a good church who teaches the Bible correctly and join a Bible study group or Bible studies in the local Bible college. But the most important is to read and read and read the Bible from cover to cover, then read again and again fo rthe rest of your life. Read until you understand, seek the Lord if you don't understand.

I have read the Bible from cover to cover many times and have read for many years, almost 30 to 35 years. Yet I still do not understand many passages of the Bible as many are yet to be fulfilled.

So Happy reading. Thanks for sharing

Blessings always

From Hwa Silverpen
