So, it's "Christmas time"... it has always been one of my favorite times of year. I love snow, the smell of Christmas trees, sugar cookies, and such. But most of all I love remember the birth of Christ. It amazes me that He was born, to die for us.
"But God proves His own love for us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us!" [Romans 5:8]
While we were still sinners. It amazes me. And His birth.. our God becoming a man to walk on this earth... He went through everything we did, and set an example on how we should live and love.
The miracle of a virgin birth...still dumbfounds me everytime i think about it.
"Then the angel told her: Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. Now listen:You will conceive and give birth to a son,and you will call His name JESUS. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and His kingdom will have no end.
Mary asked the angel, "How can this be, since I have not been intimate with a man?"
The angel replied to her: The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore the holy One to be born will be called the Son of God." [Luke 1 :30-35]
The Son of God.. with the most humblest of births, a stable.. It amazes me how humble our God is.
Anyways.. God has shown me this year how much rewarding it is to give than to receive. I couldn't believe that when i put $20 dollars into the Salvation army donation thing, my flesh was like "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?!!? YOU NEED THAT MONEY".. yikes... not a good sign.
SO, giving is going to be practiced more readily so that my stupid flesh will be quiet.
Anyways, MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
