I'm a fundamentalist believing the Holy Bible is the only source of truth for us. Found in the Scripture is God's Word in ink on pages. The Bible is all we need to understand God's plan for us and His plan of Salvation for us. Holy men of God received each word directly from the Holy Spirit and God has protected His written word through each generation.
Quoting human authors does not carry any weight in my mind. It's all in the true Book. If you are going to drop a name on me let it be Jesus, the Word of God. Nothing else is needed. While reading books by different authors is OK only the Bible is found to be without error.
Our God created the heavens, sun, moon, all the stars, this earth, and all the things in this earth. He also created the entire galaxy and all the universes which exist. He is all knowing, all present, and all powerful. There is not a thing He does not know. There is not a place where He cannot be found. There is not a thing He can not do. I can find no reason to think He wouldn't know how to communicate with me with words I can understand.
In His word He speaks clearly and precisely. At times when He uses symbols or allegory He is very clear in telling us and faithful to give us the meaning within His word.
I believe in the literal interpretation of His Word. If this is not your desired method, fine, hopefully we can bless each other from our differing perspectives.
