G'day
My Name is Shani. I'm eighteen, and 8 months ago today, decided to give my life to Christ. Im the only christian in my family which at times can be hard. I play heaps of sport and im constantly moving all over australia due to my parents occupations. Im Just about to graduate from year 12 and am aiming to do a social work degree at university in the near future as i think this is where God is calling me. I have a passion for people and can connect with young people in a pretty cool way. I have lived through and seen alot of things in my short lived life which have helped me to become the person i am. Im pretty understanding and love to have a joke and make people laugh. I go to youth group and the people there are just amazing men and woman of God! i love inspiring people and encouraging them too get the most out of life. I haven't been a Christian for long, but I definitely feel the Lord working through me to increase my faith in Him.

Intro from a brand new blogger! |

Hello there! My name is Kevin. I am a manager for a small, albeit successful, bank. I have a wife, and one six month old daughter. I have a mortgage, a car payment, and a credit card payment. I am a devoted Christian, who is determined that some day he will go to church regularly, tithe consistently, and behave appropriately -at least most of the time. To my chagrin, I am an average human guy -I say "to my chagrin" because from my point of view I should be superior to everyone else...in that, I am also typically human. I have a thinking bent, an action handicap, and I am hoping that this blog will be a catalyst to bridge the gap betwixt one and the other. The plan is to post twice per week. The main post will be on Mondays, and should anyone actually read it and feel it compelling enough to respond to, I will post responses to the responses on Fridays...ish. As I hinted earlier, the blog will deal with that which I consider to be my greatest area for improvement: Living life, and doing it well. This blog will NOT be an outlet for whining....

Hello everyone. Just a quick introduction: My name is Mona and I live in Ohio. I'm a 49-year-young mother of two children both in their twenties and have been divorced for twenty-one years. I'm very involved in music ministry, take part in voluntary work at local shelters and missions for folks in crisis, and I live alone ... well, Jesus lives with me, and I have a few houseplants, but I'm the only human being in the house.
My career path began when I was 9 or so and got my first job delivering newspapers. I've had a very interesting career path over the following forty years that has involved several side-roads, but has been a terrific journey overall. I'm currently seeking work, having just given up bar tending after many years. This choice came because I've joined the ministry this year, and the two positions pose a bit of a conflict in my spiritual walk. I will say, however, that the Lord found many opportunities while I was still at the bar, for me to witness to others of the love of God. A few of my regulars begin calling me "the preaching bartender", in good fun, of course,...

Well, this is my first blog. My reason for even doing this whole blog thing is kind of complicated. I have been going through some very serious trials in my life recently and it has really caused me to grow closer to God. As a result, the attacks on me have been relentless. Daily I have been dealing with so much stuff and it has just really been almost too much to bear at times. Well, a few weeks ago I went into a local Christian book store just to look around. I found a Bible commentary on the books of Genesis through Deuteronomy by an author by the name of J. Vernon McGee. That day I was having a really bad day and didn't want to buy a "self-help" book but wanted to buy something that really dug deep into the Bible. This is the only way that we can really get true, lasting comfort and that's what I was looking for.
So I got the book and started reading it immediately. Ever since, I have not been able to stop reading it. It is such a great book, I recommend that everyone make their way to their local...

First of all let me introduce myself. My name is Angela. I am happily married. My husband and i have been blessed with 5 wonderful children. Both my husband and I are saved. Our children are also saved and love the Lord. The Lord has also blessed me to become a grandmother. I have two very handsome grandsons. They are 4 months old and 2 years old. They are a handful, but they are my pride and joy. I am excited to see what work God has for their hands. I have 2 sisters and 3 brothers whom are married and also serving God. I have a host of neices and nephews. I am also blessed with God fearing and God loving parents. My parents taught us about God at a very early age. It is because of their sacrifices and teachings that i am who i am today. My parents lived and contine to live what they taught.
My life has not been an easy life. I was molested by relatives most of my childhood. Its amazing i can share this now, for a long time this was my secret. I can now testify that God has healed me...

I am new at this blog thing. A lot of my friends at work blog all the time, and say it is fun. So here I am trying it out. As I was looking for a blog place, I wanted one that had a Christian view to it. I hope to talk too, and get to know other Christians this way. I love to study and talk about the Bible with other people, and this also shows at my work. I think in the world we live in today there is a great need read and talk about Jesus and the Bible. It seems to me the world is moving away from the teaching of Jesus, and when I bring it up at work my freinds see me as some kind of radical person. So I hope to get a better world view, and grow as a Christian from this. So there goes my first blog, I hope with time I'll get better. For the people that take the time to read this thanks, and keep in mind this is my first....

I'm a 65 year-old husband, grandfather of 11, father of three, and stepfather of two more. I'm trying to understand and share with my kids and others just how good God expects us to be, and to what extent, if any, He expects us to oppose evil. The world may have retired me after too many years of sales and financial management, but my younger wife still works and I suppose I should too, so I'm job hunting when I'm not trying to blog. In 1992 I converted to Catholicism and now coordinate the parish RCIA team, chair our Small Church Community program, and serve occasionally as ecumenical liaison. I plan to raise in blogs some of the issues we face in Christian initiation and small groups. This seems a wonderful opportunity to learn from your blogs and comments. In particular I seek to understand and promote Jesus' call to us to seek goodness as individuals and perhaps through our law and government. I presume Jesus could have anticipated the advantages and pitfalls of democracy, but could hardly have explained that to his disciples. Secondarily I'm struggling to reconcile His prohibition on judging, yet His granting powers of judgment and...

Hello fellow Christian Blog users. My name is Heather and I just joined. I am looking forward to blogging about all kinds of things and getting to know some great people. I'm 24 years old, married for 3 years, and at a point in my life where I am looking for the job that God has uniquely planned for me. I'm looking forward to meeting people my age who can relate to my situation of trying to become the woman God has created me to be, while looking for a job, yet waiting patiently for God to reveal His plan for my life. I'm also looking forward to meeting people who have gone through this stage in life and can support, encourage and offer any advice that they have picked up from the Lord along the way. I guess that's it for now. I'm excited to see where this blog leads....

I am looking forward to the fellowship and the new people I may have the blessing of meeting through this site. It's a joy to be here! God has brought me through many journeys in life, and I look forward to being able to add to the experience of discussion of this site. My prayer is that God will be able to use me to help those who are suffering from or struggling with many spiritual, mental and emotional issues. Hello
As by title of blog I am a new person to blogging. I read the tips and looked at the bbc code and felt a little intimidated! But I think by definition of blogging this is something i want to learn.
In my mind I was thinking it was a place for me to express thoughts and share information. I will say I was thinking that it would be mostly to my church people that use technology. But after getting here and seeing this, I am thinking it will be good as others can speak to my thoughts. And I have a chance to read others as well. As a pastor I need to have input to my heart and mind. Inflow to my life as I give out to my church.
I do appreciate the positive atmosphere that seems to exist here. Good to know that I won't be verbally abused for trying to do what I think is right. At that point I am sure there may be eyebrows raised as to what I think is right. But I try to use the Bible. Not perfect and don't claim to be. Not to proud to admit I...

Hello all. My name is John and I just wanted to take a minute to introduce myself. I have been happily married to a wonderful woman named Danielle for the past 9 years. Danielle and I have two little girls ages 8 and 5. I am currently serving in the US Army as a newly appointed Warrant Officer. I am in school to become certified in my job/career branch. I gave my life to Christ on 04 Nov 04 and I have never looked back. God's mercy is so awesome that I am sometimes amazed at the grace that He willingly gives us all. I am looking forward to be able to add on to current discussions and possibly start a few. I feel blessed to have stumbled upon this site and look forward to all that it holds. Hey hey hey.
The name's Matt. I'm seventeen, and a follower of Christ. I'm a tall fit teenager. I play bass in the youth worship band on Tuesday nights at my church, Ward Road Baptist. I was save on February 17, 2008, so I haven't been a Christian for long, but I definitely feel the Lord working through me to increase my faith in Him. I'll probably update irregularly, when I remember to, but I'll do my best.
The main point of me doing this is to "pour my heart out" and read encouragements, recommendations, and bible verses I can use to help others through the problems I've faced. I'll do my best to not be rash, but depending on my mood, I may seem hateful toward a certain subject, or depressed about something. If this happens, please just pray for me to get through it. I know I'll be trying to do the same.

I guess I will start with my testimony. I am a 38 year old man who grew up in Indiana until the age of 13, when I moved to Florida with my mom. I came from a dysfunctional family, and that pretty much set the stage for the way that I have lived my life. My father was an alcoholic who used to beat up my mom. I didn't know or understand at that age that she had an affair and my younger brother was the result, and that was probably what drove him to that kind of behavior. I only seen the beatings he would put on her. (Actually, I didn't see them, I just heard them from bed after he would come home from the bar)
Even though I always attended church growing up, for some reason I never really opened my heart to God. Perhaps it was because I never seen the Godly lifestyle modeled for me, though that isn't completely true. I lived in a foster home for about 2 - 3 years, and they were good Godly role models. But I also live in another foster home a couple of years later, and they were...

Hello to all Christian bloggers. I becamed truly saved twelve years ago so I suppose I am a preteen in the Spirit. This means I am going through many things spiritually which young ladies go through in this world. My identity is barely being formed but I'm no longer drinking just spiritual milk. I've sought the LORD since I was eighteen when I had to come to terms with my mortal enemy at the time, death. I had been into some very dark things and just when the last light of hope was about to be extinguished, I called out for Truth. I spend days listening to a preacher on tapes my Dad had and God answered the first of my questions through that preacher. His name is Malcolm Smith of Unconditional Love Ministries. Then I picked up a C.S. Lewis apologetic book entitled "The Problem of Pain" at the library in Portland, OR. Those two brothers are the fathers of my faith. Since then I have devoured theological books by Lewis and various other authors from the eighteenth century onward. I've also dabbled in some Orthodox Christian literature and Kierkegaard. Bonheoffer is among my favorites. Right now I am...

Wanted to get the more than five words in the title so as the blog would be visible!!! I've been a member less than a week now or there abouts...I was searching about for a format to get some Christian fellowship and began searching the internet and came across this site. Thus far its been enjoyable...the online chat is nice. Most evenings someone was available to chat if just a few lines it was okay or just to watch/read the others chat. Its a big world and seeming that we are all alone is somewhat ludicrous...however very true when there is no one to talk to. So this chat supplied somewhere to be in contact with another human being.
I'm from the Midwest. Have three grown children and am alone. Just wrapped up an MBA in the Spring with hopes of a new job...but that hasn't happened so I am still in the same job I have been for four years at a company that I have a total of almost 19 years at. I work a fair amount of the time and don't make enough money to do much else. Just kinda live to work and work to live...

Hello everybody, just as you can see am new to this blog.
I believe i will be able to find some Christians here. To tell the truth i don't have much to say about myself. Well, I love to hear and blog with people who really hear from God. People who are really in. Doctrine does not make doctrine sound, Love makes doctrine sound-everyone can recite it but few of us can love.
Personally, I believe that there would be less Christian arguments if people launch their dialog from the Love point of view(am not implying anything else) In everything that we do wherever we are, lets ask ourselves," What does Love(God) demand in this situation" not "What does my church have to say in this situation". I believe with this kind of life, life becomes simpler and a lot of burden is lifted from us and our churches. Personally i have discovered that if I want to be holy then i should Love God's way. In the beginning it hurts way too much ...but pays....

I like to write. I have always liked writing. Someday, I will have a book, for for today, I will simply have a blog. My passion for my love of writing and journaling was stirred up within me today. I pondered how someone like me, a simple, yet shy person could regain my quest for expressions with words.
Oh, how I try to be so elegant, yet I realize, that I am just a simple girl, with a simple heart. Why pretend to be anything other than what I am? I want to be liked, loved, cherished and adored. Doesn't everybody?
Within each soul lies a desire to be accepted unconditionally, despite faults, and poor choices in life. ~a new start, as one may say...
I hold within me a bandaged heart, almost whole again. I tuck two wonderful boys in at night. I still have a thin indention on my left finger where a simple gold wedding band once sat. I am on an adventure for a new career, or degree, not sure which yet. Yet, I still remain simple, or at least try to be......

Hello, I'm Javanut online, Crystal in real life. I've been a Christian for close to 40 yrs and charismatic for 30 of those. The main ministry I have is an online community that includes a forum and a news blog where we discuss Israel, the Middle East and how it relates to prophecy. I do visit other forums and try to keep up with what's happening in the Christian world.
My main areas of study are the Jewish roots of the Christian faith, pre-mill, pre-trib prophecy, faith and healing. I enjoy a wide range of discussions but usually draw the line at endless debating where both sides are set in stone and immovable.
I enjoy bass fishing as a hobby, I love to read and research things and enjoy my two cats dearly. I'm looking forward to getting to know you and hope to make some new friends. Shalom and God bless!...

Greetings. Is it that the Bible has so many errors of events/facts correlation when it was written? People against the Bible always try to bring up little errors to justify their distrust and disbelief in the word of the Lord. Bibical errors are mostly from misprints and interpretation I believe. But we as christian we really need to study the word and be confident in it. Brethren, we are all prone to mistakes but let us boldly correct them and let no one hold us back in our past mistakes. Note the following verses:
David did (1 Samuel 17:50) - "Thus David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone, and he struck the Philistine and killed him; but there was no sword in David's hand."
Elhanan did (2 Sam. 21:19)- "And there was war with the Philistines again at Gob, and Elhanan the son of Jaare-oregim the Bethlehemite killed Goliath the Gittite, the shaft of whose spear was like a weaver's beam."
The answer lies in here. 1 Chronicles 20:5 says, "And there was war with the Philistines again, and Elhanan the son of Jair killed Lahmi the brother of Goliath the Gittite, the shaft of whose...

Hello everyone. I am posting for the first time on christianblog.com. I live in Winchester KY via just about everywhere. I have been married for 27 years to a wonderful G-dly woman and have two great kids. Our son who is 23 and a second year med student, while the other is just returning for her sophomore year in college. So we're getting close to that empty nest thing and exploring a lot of new things together, specifically in the way of service to our L-rd's kingdom. I have been attending Bible College and hope to have my Biblical Studies degree soon. From there only the L-rd knows.
My favorite hobbies are Bible Study, golf and Ballroom dance.
My desire to not spell out the name of G-d is only a personal preference and act of reverence. It works for me and I hope it doesn't bother anyone.
I am anxious to interact as I have done on many occasions elsewhere.
G-d Bless and Maranatha!!...

Good Morning!
This seems like a great place to begin. I am an early riser. Not that you would know it looking at the time I am posting this. I have been up for a few hours now and have spent it almost entirely with my Father in Heaven. Early morning is my quiet time and I guard it. I sit in my room, with my window open (as much as the weather will allow) and spend time with Him, joining Him in His Word, in prayer and being still so I can hear Him. The morning air has such a unique smell just before day break. For me, I think it smells like He might. Fresh and clean, not not sullied by all the works of the day. Just quiet and clean. One of my morning habits is to read "Our Daily Bread". It never fails to remind me to seek God's face in all I do. No matter how sleepy I am when first open my eyes, there He is. On the days that I work, I don't get to spend as much time in His Word, but there is always a need to spend some time with...

This is my first time to blog. If I make any rookie mistakes, please employ the Christian virtue of forgiveness. I am 42 years old and live in the Dallas area. I have been a Christian since I was 9. I feel led to join a Christian blog. I not only hope to be a blessing to others, I hope to be blessed by your postings as well. At first, I was not sure what I would write about. But after looking at some of the postings so far, now I don't know where to begin. If I post something you don't agree with, I want you to please respond. While I love to discuss the things of God, I don't enjoy "arguing." I am not arrogant to think I am correct on everything. I will prayerfully consider your view before responding. I am sure in the Spirit of Christ; we can be led to the truth....

Hey everyone,
I joined christian blog awhile ago but I have been pretty busy since then and never got to introduce myself. My name is Benjamin Douglas Shogren. I live in Pennsylvania right now and I am currently attending Eastern University. I grew up in PA and then moved to Costa Rica for 8 years while my parents were missionaries. I moved back to the US in 2006 to go to public high school and live with my grandmother (my parents stayed in Costa Rica). For the most part my main interests are scripture, reading, writing, super heroes, people, and lots of other stuff in between. The reason I joined this blog is because I know that the world is spinning more and more out of control every day, and many Christians are slipping in and out of the faith. The church is fragmented in many ways these days and I want to work to bring it together. So I wanted to come to a place like this where I could connect with other Christians around the globe, and share my ideas in writing where it is easier to share hard truths. I d love to get to know my...

So here I am, at a spiritual and I guess developmental crossroads (i.e., a good midlife crisis), trying to figure out what in my life has been real, what has been illusion, what is worth keeping. What have I done right so far? What have I done wrong? What do I not even see about myself?
I am having trouble figuring out God's will in relationships, specifically Christian friendships. My church is big on this, and I have bought into it because I have felt very relationship-oriented... and then everything shatters. Is it me? Is it my poor choices? Is all the "love, forgiveness, relationships" rhetoric all a bunch of hooey?
THE STORY, Part I
Two months ago I had an "incident" with someone I considered my closest friend. She has since told me that at the time of the "incident" she sensed my pain and was desperate to help, so she confronted me about it. Maybe. What I remember was that my bellyaching about my problems was draining her, so she had to distance herself and focus on her own issues. And she hoped I got help for it. And that was the last I heard from her.

I've decided to start a blog for sermons. Or personal revelations or understandings or whatever you'd like to call it. The short explanation is that God told me to. The details are a bit more involved than that.
Since I was 6 I felt called into ministry. I'm now 28, and working for the largest company in the world. I'm in Information Technology. That's not exactly what I thought of when I thought of ministry. I have preached several times and taught classes as well. I enjoy learning about the Lord and the way he works in the world. However, I haven't found a church home to work in for several years.
This leads to the blog. A favorite passage of mine is the parable of the talents; in fact, I have preached a message about it. I'd like to post this at some point but for now will keep to the short version. Basically, we are all given talents to use, much like the servants in the story. One day God will call us to account for our use of the talents and skills he gave us. For instance, I have always been good with computers, hence my current...

My name is Kelly and I was initially saved in 2005 at a small church in rural Alabama. We moved, then stopped going to church because where we moved to was mostly Hispanic and it was hard to locate an English-only service that wasn't Catholic (which we're not.) We lived there (for my job) for about 15 months, then I managed a transfer within my company to Dallas, Texas, where we are MUCH happier! I work full time and my husband is a stay at home dad and in the Army Reserves (prior USMC Active Duty- we just couldn't afford to live on that salary anymore.) Right now he's up in Oklahoma rolling around in the dirt and getting recertified with the M16. He's there all week. I'm at home on disability because I had back surgery on 6/4- 2 disks replaced and a fusion. The silver lining: I get to spend all of summer vacation with my 6 year old! I'm 29 and my husband is 32. He has not been saved but there's always hope. I just got saved last month, so maybe that's a sign from God that Dan will be saved soon. Only God can tell....

hi everyone im new here... i guess just looking for people with a Christian view on things.. i work at a Christian kindergarten and really enjoy being in a christian environment surrounded by Christian friends and family. i feel the pull of worldy things quite depressing and want more than the world has to offer me. i want to have a meaningful life, the only way to achieve this is through a relationship with christ. i am the first to admit that im struggling on a daily basis to put jesus first. im currently looking for a new church and just want to meet more like minded people. hopefully i will be able to go on a missions trip to south america at some stage in my life.. its all a bit cloudy at the moment so ill just have to keep trusting in god to pull me through. i dont think ill be blogging endlessly as i have a very limited understanding however im looking forward to getting onto the forums and prayer request thing. everyone on here seems so on fire its awesome feel free to add me as a friend or talk to me or whatever id...

Like many of the other new people, this is the first time I've tried blogging. I found this site on an internet search for Christian bloggers. I wasn't even sure there was such a thing but here I am. I have to admit that it is a little scary to put my words out there for others to read. I guess I'm afraid of put downs, etc. From what I've read so far there isn't any of that here. Well.. I am a happily married woman of 56. My husband of almost 5 years and I met online on a Christian website. We prayed for Christian mates and call this our "arranged" marriage. Arranged by God! I also have MS (Multiple Sclerosis) which is a nerve disease. I've had that for 14 years. God didn't give it to me, He just allowed me to have it. I've found that I have a much better life now than before I got it. I am so very blessed and others tell me I am an encouragement to them. I don't know how but that is what I am told. Well, I guess this hasn't been as hard as I expected, it was...

Hello fellow Christians! My name is Todd and I'm excited to have joined Christian Blog and just have a few words (at least 150 to let whomever is interested to know a bit about myself. I'm 40 years old and live with my wife and two children in Jacksonville, Florida. I currently work as a manufacturers' representative in the electrical supplies field. Like yourselves, I enjoy studying the Bible and discussing various related topics including apologetics and history. I'll save my personal Christian experience for a Testimonial blog, but will say here that I do not currently attend a local church, though I do study with my family, especially my mother. The main reason I joined with Christian Blog was to fellowship with other Christians. Perhaps my experiences here will motivate me to begin visiting with local Christians in churches here in Jacksonville. Another reason I'm here is because I like the policy of restraining from denominational attacks, which may explain why I've avoided attending a local church. Too be honest however, there are too many good reasons to fellowship, and I'm trying to come to terms with this issue. Anyway, its a pleasure to be here with you and...
