Hello I havent been part of a blog before but recently had a real desire to be part of a wider Christian community and this site looked as though it would meet that need. There are very few Christians were I work. I was raised in a Christian home but lived my earlier adult years without much regard for God, but doing what I thought best, which most of the time was certainly not my best. In recent years I have realised how essential God and the grace of Jesus is to life, including my own. My first realisation was some years ago when I started wanting to listen to Christian radio and pray, I was not sure why I felt the need to do these things but started to do so anyway. One of my best friends was also drawn back to God at this time and that further encouraged me to pray and consider my life. I then had 2 patients die at the same time. One was a committed Christian and I saw the peace and contentment he had through his faith, even though he had no family by his side - they did not want to...

Hi there fellow Born Again Believer's, I am so Excited to have found this site. I am a parent of five great kids ranging in age from 10 months to 12 years, a wife to a great husband, a full time college student studing psychology, a daycare provider, a friend, and most important of all an ever learning born again believer. My hobbie's are photography, walking, camping hanging out with my family, and living life to its fullest. I attend a Church in my community and have attended the same church for many years; in fact since I was seven, my children now attend also.
I really need more fellowship with fellow Christians and hopefully I will find some great Christian friends on this site as well as learning more about the bible and growing in my Christian walk
I hope to be a support and friend to anyone whom needs one. I am excited to get to know this site and what it has to offer as well as finding out how I can glorify the Lord Jesus Christ through this site. I hope to be a blessing to this site and all of you fellow christians....

Lessons learned, grace given, Righteousness rewarded |

Hello All... I'm Jessica and looking to learn from you all, while walking with His grace and following His leading to walk in righteousness. I've had a desire to be a part of a Blog for about 5 months now and I just took the time to research and find one today. I'm excited to see what God has in store and how maybe I can share some of what He has been laying on my heart lately while I'm praying and reading His word. I've found that many Christians don't sit and share what the Lord is teaching them as often as we should. I'm trying to weave in my "quiet" time more into my daily walk so that what He is teaching me stays on my mind and heart more. I have also had several deep contemplations going on in my head and heart that I would like to discuss with those grounded in His word. What a great way for us to encourage and lift one another up and to also provide "milk and meat" for those who hunger after more of Him. I'm excited to share with you in His Word and chat with you about...

Join me in my journey to freedom from Meth addiction |

Hi my name is Joe. I'm 22 years old from toronto canada. This is my first time in the world of Blogging. I am a christian and I am a meth addict. I know that there is no such thing as a Christian Drug Addict and I also know that God does not desire for me to keep doing this. I have tried to quit many times but i slip back every single time so I must be doing something wrong. I also have pleaded to God to take away my desire for the drug but I still find myself wanting it. I am fully aware that GOD IS ABLE and has already victory over ALL sin but somehow I am still here in this dark place. I will try to post every single day and tell of my battles with God against this "thing" inside me. One more reason for my joining up is to plead to all of God's people here to pray for me and to pray with me against my Giant. God will be glorified in this victory. I look forward to advice, rebuke, encouragement, and the like from you guys. thanks....

Hello there to everyone,
I just want to introduce myself and say hi, before I go galavanting the website. My name is Angelic and I have big hopes and inspirations for this blog. I just want to say, I am full-hearted in giving it my all. My goal is to explore, vent, and testify about my walk with the lord. I will talk about my struggles, doubts and hopefully get to know a mighty handful of you, interested in the same thing and to learn from you also. And since I am a poet, I will probably share some of my poetry with you guys, and feel free to make any comments... . I have thick skin, and love to learn, and hear your good-hearted opinions and advice. I will also share other pieces of inspirational poetry, comments and bible study info (and i will always tell you who they are from) that moves me. and might be of interest to you.
SO HERE IT GOES!
your sis,

Why the name? |

faithbyword (Posted: 05/27/2009 8:07pm)
I'm sure some of you have made a connection with my name and the bible verse Romans 10:17, but I have a quick explanation for those who haven't. Romans 10:17 reads as follow: "So then Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God." Faith comes by hearing the Word, therefore Faith comes by Word..leading to FaithbyWord. Just for a little added info, most of my blog posts will be about stuff i've learned or revelations I have had about the Bible and life. Most of them will probably have at least on Bible verse in it...hence 'about the Bible'. I belive to talk about the Bible one must show where they get the information from, and that's how I will show you. The whole name and how it connects to Romans 10:17 should have been easy enough to follow, but if you have any questions or comments about it, or about any of my future posts, feel free to ask or comment....

Bible Prophesy; Fulfillments; End Times |
 |
 |
Posted by:
michaelf (Posted: 05/23/2009 6:54pm)
The End Times began in 1947. And if you search your eSword (probably King James) or other electronic Bible for "fig tree", you will see that HaShem lamented that His "fig tree" was off chasing Baal Peor on the mountain shrines. In other words, the nation Israel is the fig tree (Hosea 9:10). Jesus cursed Israel (the fig tree) because when Messiah came, He found no spiritual fruit (Matthew 21:19) on HaShem's fig tree; Yeshua could have produced fruit miraculously if He desired. So now the meaning of the End Times statement that when you see the fig tree put forth tender shoots, spring is near, even so I AM (is) at the door (Matthew 24:27-34) becomes clear!
According to Yeshua's promise, some of the generation alive in 1948 when the tender shoots of the reborn nation of Israel went forth must still be alive to see the fulfillment of End Times prophesy. Many of the people who were in their twenties when Israel became a nation again would now be in their 80s, so you see, we do know something about WHEN. The time is short.
Free will is like the gas pedal on our car, if we sin...

Hello to any blog reader who happen to be passing by! Just a little detail of who I am and what I enjoy in life and whatnot. I was born here in Canada and have lived here all of my life, and have never left it(yet). I have been a Christian, (have had a relationship with God) all my life. I have gone through many hardships and trying times, but have leaned on God every time to get me through them. He has never disappointed me, and has brought very wise thoughts into head to keep me thinking positively. I cannot begin to exclaim how good He has been to me! I am totally in love with Japan and everything to do with it! I am learning a lot of the language and their way of living. I also enjoy anime as well, which is what brought out my love for it. I don't think that I could ever stop loving that country, and I haven't even been there!! Haha! I am currently living with my fiance`, and am getting married in the end of June. No plans for kids as of yet, we are waiting until there is more...

I am 78 years old but young at heart. I have 6 children, 16 grands and 14 greats. They keep me busy.
I am a writer. My testimonies and some Bible studies but I think my items may be too long. What is the limit for them? I post on several sites. I will have to check what others write before I can really post anything.
I do like to just chat. I live in a High Rise but not too many I can really talk with. They are not Christians. We do have Bible studies once a week but not many attend.
I don't enjoy most of the activities they have. Like shooting pool, playing cards or throwing darts. The interet has to be my outlet since I have no car. I like to chat with different people
Any one else as old as me?
I like to write about all that God has done for me. He is so awesome. God bless you all....

Hello I am rather new here. I am a 32 year old mother of two and I homeschool our children. I used to blog on myspace, but my husband and I deleted our accounts. The content on some spaces, and comments were too offensive for both of us. We have been married 15 years this year. We have a son who is 14 and a daughter who is 13. We just moved to a new city here in California and we have yet to find a church. We know no one up here and our families live about an hour and a half away. I have been a christian since I was 4, baptised at 7, and rededicated my life when I was 15. My husband became a christian when he was 17. We were married shortly after he became a christian. I hope to meet fellow christians who share my interests and can help me stay on the right path with the Lord. I sometimes slack and get discouraged, or lost. I dont give up hope though...

Hello everyone, my name is Peter and I am a poet. I have long been writing and often times have found myself creating as well as aiding souls
on various message boards, and today here I am.
We each have gifts, many undiscovered and many people reluctant to pursue them.
I was one of those people. For a long time I shared my gift with the hopes that someday, someone would discover this "talent" of mine
that God had given me and I would be famous. Yet through the course of my life, through it's many trials and tribulation, I have come to see that God did make me famous.
Famous to my family, famous to myself, more importantly however, famous to HIM. If we leave behind all that our "human selves" so desperately require as self identification
and embrace the spiritual trust that our creation was indeed "intended", we come to understand life's purpose a little easier, at least I have.
God tells us, we are here for a short while and it is within that time that we as human beings are to make up the answers for the questions HE is going to ask us when we...

Hello, my name is Kitty.
I want to start off saying that I'm very new to this whole concept of religion. To knowing God. I spent a good deal of my life looking for a way to disprove God. Mostly, this was out of sheer spite of the experiences that I had had when I was growing up. I had a lot of confrontation because I had a lot of interest into thing that are not always seen as 'good'. I was a writer when I was younger and really wanted to write stories about very odd things. These things spanned from witches to scientifically created angels. When I wrote most of these stories, I was in 5th grade.
I had a rather bad experience in the church across the street from my house growing up. The pastor's wife had taken me aside into a room with 4 other adults and began to scold me how I was doing very bad things and that they were an influence of the Devil. I couldn't understand why these adults were cornering me the way they were. Its was really hard for me, and being such a stubborn, fiery child I took up...

Meet Immanuel |

I am a 20 year old preacher of the gospel, choosen by The Only Wise God to speak out against divisions within the Church of Christ (among other injustices of this world, which we face on a daily basis). Booker T. Washington was famous for many works, among them he was known for his leadership role in the Atlanta Compromise. He had a theory that "go slow" integration, and sacrificing basic freedoms would be the route which would eventually lead to true liberty. Ladies and gentlemen, I am no Booker T Washington and I am not compromising. The struggle which we all face today has advanced across racial lines and has lead to oppression of individuals from a vast range of cultures and creeds. If the Church is to become the entity which it is called to be we must first put an end to this era of division. Jesus stated repetitively, if there is a kingdom divided against itself, that kingdom will not stand. Heed the sayings of the master. Meet Immanuel....

An introduction of new member JohnJustAChristian |

Greetings my new friends!
I am John I am a disabled Christian husband of 23 years with two sons; one in college, the other almost there. I have served in the U.S. Navy, worked in fastfood management, and worked as a Chef and in Emergency Medical Services. My family labeled me "the bloody chef" thus you probably can surmise that the paramedic skills came in handy.
My denomination is not important at this writing. My purpose for starting a blog is threefold and may expand or contract as I desire. My purpose is first and foremost to help Christians of the many different denominations, branches, bodies creeds or however we divide ourselves theologically, politically or socially to recognize just what exactly we have in common thus narrowing the perceived gaps between us.
Secondly I wish to share my walk with those who may find it interesting. I have a varied background including Anglicanism, Roman Catholicism, Oneness Pentecostalism and have been a Fundamentalist.
Lastly I intend to use the blogs here as an outlet to share what I continue to learn and to seek out opinions from other more and less mature brothers and sisters of what I write and the...

Hello Mishpochah & ALL who call upon the Name of the Lord,
My name is David and I am a father and husband. My wife and I have been married for nineteen years and we have six children.
Was drawn by the Lord to hear the full gospel when I was 22 and recieved Christ one year later. Studied God's Word a good amount, have led bible studies, encouraged fellow believers and friends to trust God and have seen good things come about.
Married to a wonderful Jewish Believer in Yeshua HaMoshiach (Jesus The Christ) who has and is a daily loving encouragement to our family.
After many years of sensing the call of God on my life to minister we, as a family, trusted God completely with our lives ten years ago in youth ministry. We were very excited to be led by the Spirit of God to Bless, Encourage, Exhort, others and to see God recieve Glory and Honor and Praise!
Although God is good, life for our family has not been very good.
We laid down everything for the Lord ( Our Home, Finances, Business - Everything).
To make a long story short, those to whom God...

I just want to say that I have just joined this site! I am looking forward to writing and working with the all the different people here. It is so amazing to me how we are all strangers across this great country, yet we are family thru Christ. Prior to joining I was looking through the different boards and I must say I was so intrigued by all the different discussion that were going on. Everyone seemed to know how to help the other person or find where get help or get answers. This is the kind of online community that we need more of.
So forgetful of me, and I'm so sorry but please forgive me for not introducing myself at first. My name is Michael Smith and I live in Panama City, Florida. I am married with no kids. In fact I just had my 10th wedding anniversary! Just before that I had my 32nd birthday! LOL. I been a Christ follower since I was 13.. however I must confess I been living most of my live as a backslider up until 6 months ago when I re-committed my life to Christ when I found a peace in...

Hi, everyone. My name is Ben. I blog by the name "Galahad"; the one who was pure in heart. I am certainly far from that. I received a BA Degree in Religion and was planning to go to theology school and the ministry. It's shocking when I look out how far I let my life head in the other direction. All of that was 30 years ago.
Now I am out of church, a recovering alcoholic. I lost a good job last March due to my drinking and am now fighting a mountain of debt I can't pay. Worst of all, I got away from the Word of God and Him. Now I coming home to Him. I didn't think about what a struggle that would be. The spiritual warfare is on and Satan is very determined to block my path at every turn. I know all of the promises God has given, for I once taught them to others. The shame I bear is almost overwhelming at times. But I press on. This is my life I am fighting for.
There is a contemporary christian song I go through in my mind quite often. The words go something like...

Hello everyone! My name is Shawn and I'm trying this out for the first time. I guess that makes me the "New guy". I am a sincere Christ-Follower and I work for my church. I'm not so good with my typing skills though, so maybe this will help. Hopefully I can experience some meaningful conversation at the same time. I have a passion for helping people discover how God has shaped them for ministry. When I say "Shape", I mean...Spiritual Gifts, Heartfelt Concerns, Abilities, Personality, and Experience. That spells S.H.A.P.E. I actually teach a class at church based on this.
I am hoping that becoming part of this community might help me to step out a little. I'm a bit of an introvert. I am also hoping to learn more of the views and beliefs of others in an educational and tolerant way. This seems like a great place for that. I hope you all will accept me and allow me to learn and occasionally share as I embark on this new journey online. Blessings....

Hello everyone,
I am brand new to blogging so I will be a little tentative at the start but will learn as I go. I received Christ as my Lord and Savior in 1971. I have been active in the creation/evolution debate, global warming debate (I am a skeptic), Bible studies, marriage counseling, and the list goes on. I believe the Bible is the inerrant Word of God. I believe it is the final authority for Christians in all areas of their life. I enjoy reading and studying God's Word and have found I love it's intriguingly profound simplicity. As I allow what I read to become my guide through life I have experienced an Indiana Jones kind of Christianity. By that I mean living on the edge of your seat kind of life and no matter what situation I find it has led me into the Lord has always fulfilled His promises. In other words I have had a blast following His leading. I look forward to interacting with other members as time goes by.

Hi, my name is Erica and I live in the Jacksonvlle, FL area. I love blogging and I write a blog all about events and things to do in Jacksonville called "Out and About in Jax". The reason I mention it is that I want to try to use this blog to glorify God in some way, but I am not exactly sure how. If anybody has any suggestions, I am definitely open to them. I recently went on a "Prayer Walk" at my church on Good Friday. It was a life changing experience and I feel like God was trying to tell me to use my bog in a way to glorify Him, but like I said, I'm not quite sure how.
I wrote all about the emotional experience of the Prayer Walk and how it helped me with some struggles in my personal life. I welcome you to read it if you like. I can't really post the link here yet (I havent' posted 5 blogs yet) but if you google "out and about in jax" you're sure to find it.
Anyways, I have always had a relationship with God, but I was raised Catholic. Now I'm going...

I was searching "sad and lonely" on Google and found a link to a Christian Blog entry.
I want to connect with people! I'm curious about people who are not from big cities. I always wonder what my life would be like if I weren't from New York City.
There are so many things that I love about New York but (of course) nothing beats nature, silence and simplicity.
I'm sitting in my kitchen now, 12:25 AM waiting for an English muffin to toast. It sounds like the people next door are having a little party.
Earlier today I cleaned the apartment of a friend of mine for $60. I didn't go to church even though it's Easter because (for no reason that I could think of) I just felt awful this morning. I wonder how mass was.
Right now I feel better than I did all day but I know I have a long way to go. I know that all I really want is to love and be loved but for now I'm kind of a drag to be around =p I'm just beginning to iron out my bad habits. In the 8 months since I first came...

So I'm not really sure what makes me think that anyone would want to hear what I have to say. I don't know, maybe it's just human nature to find anyway that we can to get someone to listen to us. Or maybe it's just my complete boredom. Yeah, I'm gonna go with that. LOL I just know that I like to talk, don't have really anyone to listen most of the time, and this way I can get it all out and people can look or not look. So I guess in my own way, I am being kind to the world by doing it this way.
And if you are reading this and wondering...yes I do ramble. Sometimes it makes sense and other times not even I know where I'm going with it. It's true. And I am totally OK with that. I have learned to embrace my crazy side. LOL
I spend A LOT of time alone, it's just the way it is. And even though I would LOVE to change that, this is who God has me be for now. So sometimes I think my brain will explode with all the "stuff" that is in there....

Which I think Is rather pointless it is also annoying that I cannot publish this until I have reached 150 words...
I am a christian although I do feel like a pretty rubbish one at that most of the time, I'm a member of the Salvation Army and have commited my self to the lord a couple of years back.
However I am struggling alot with the whole religion thing as its very much like a rollercoaster its always full of ups and downs. I do get very inspired and do sometimes feel the
need to share my experiences with people. Please check out my other blog its about christain life and talks alot of truth...

Hello fellow Christian friends -
I am a Chrisitan woman - mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend. I have been married for 18 years to the man I met when I was 15 years old. I am now 40 and have two teenage children who keep my life very dramatic. In the last year, my family has endured much change and heartache. My marriage was on the brink of divorce and we were separated. There was alcohol, anger and the world just kept hurling one attack after another. My heart was hard and instead of seeking God - I listened to the world in an attempt to improve my situation. I felt justified. In my justification, I continued to make one bad decision after another until God finally pierced my heart and showed me my own sin.
It's so hard to believe that it's been a year now. God led us out of that place - He has restored our family - and we are learning what it means to be God centered.
My walk with Christ began when I was a very young child thanks to my Grandmother. She made sure I got to church and that I knew God...

I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself, my name is Melissa. And I have been happily married for 10 years. I have a background in performing arts and am currently a property manager. I act, dance, sing and do comedy. My husband and I have been asked to head a performing arts ministry for Youth for Christ and will be going overseas with them when the funding is there. We are very involved in our church and have been on several short-term missions trips. Our trips have taken us to Romania, India and Mexico. Where we have worked in orphanages, with street kids, led VBS, worked in a medical clinic and built homes.I love to travel, play games, go to the beach, watch TV with my hubby and spend time with family. I am currently enrolled in college and in fact am in the middle of studying for mid-terms, or rather should be. Have a wonderful Easter!...

Just wanted to say hi to everyone. Im 30 years old and I would say that my best quality is my faith, I live with my two dogs which are really my kids because they are so spoiled and they love me as much as I do them. God has been the best thing that has ever happened to me. Like a lot of us... my life has not been perfect, but every time something bad has impacted my life I always remember that God has my back and with him in my life there is nothing that can keep me down for long. I am not a good christian at all, but I do believe that God is a part of me. He has done so much for me, it is truly a miracle. There are two things that I always think about: one is a scripture that I consider one of the most powerful tools on how to live my life, this scripture is Ecclesiastes 7:14, I suggest you read it and maybe it will help you as much as it helps me every day. The other thing I always think about is that it is ok to...

My Name is Joe and I am a relatively new christian. I am attending a wonderful church in Medford, NJ, and the Sr pastor suggested that I start a blog. I have created some devotionals from a book that I have been reading by Max Lucado, it is called "Traveling Lightly". The book is fantastic!
A little about me, I was born and raised as a conservative Jew, and accepted Jesus as MY Lord and Savior. I have to give credit to my mother-in-law, because of her insistance that my wife and I attend a service at the church, for me being saved. After attending my first service at Fellowship Alliance Chapel, I started watching Joel Osteen and during one of his telecast, I accept Jesus. Shortly after that I was baptised at the church by the senior Pastor. There is more to the story but, that is for another time. Father has done some remarkable things in my life that I may eventually blog about. If you see any of my blogs, please read them and give me all the feedback possilbe.
I feel that Father is calling me to start this and He will let me know what...

Hello everyone! Well I guess an introduction would be appropriate for my first post. My name is Brittany and I'm eighteen years old. I'm a full-time college student and I'm also working a part-time job at a Chinese restaurant (free food, YAY! ). My major is currently English but I'm still waiting on some direction from God before I make that my final decision. I'm an avid writer; writing is one of my greatest passions. God has really gifted me with the ability to write, a talent which I plan to use for His glory! I love to write stories and poetry, and I have really been considering becoming a journalist one day, but I am still very unsure of God's Will right now. I hope to one day start a Christian magazine for teenagers, because I know that serving God as a teenager can be very difficult, and teens need as much encouragment as they can get. Other than writing I really enjoy reading, but don't get me started on books or we might be here all day! With that said I should probably say that I take education very seriously! I can't help it, I was raised that...

He everyone. I just wanted to say a few things to all of you fellow Christian bloggers! I am sooo excited about this site. I found it about a week ago and it has been so encouraging to me. I work and am very busy. Because of my work I don't get to church as often as I want and need. I know that I need as much edification and word in my life that I can get and I am so glad that I found this community that uplifts, encourages, and helps me on a daily basis stay grounded in Jesus. Thanx to everyone who works so hard to keep it up and going, thanx for making it a reality. I know that it is a much needed ministry, not just for me but for many people in today's hectic life. God bless you all and keep up the good work!!...

Hi everyone!
My name is Amy. I'm a 24 year old Chinese Australian girl from Sydney. I stumbled across this site while looking up Christian blogs on Google. I wanted to start my own Christian blog and was looking for inspiration. I use to be an active blogger with my own personal blog, but that site has since closed down due to lack of interest and lack of free time. I've been looking for an opportunity to start blogging again, and it feels a bit like a Godsend that I stumbled across this site.
I thought I'd share with you the story of how I became Christian. The beginning of the story is not very interesting. I became a Christian because my mum is a Christian, and everything my mother did I wanted to do too. However, choosing to remain a Christian has been my own choice throughout the years, and that I believe is commendable. I'd always believed that my faith in God was weak, but I've since come to realise that my faith is a lot stronger than I had ever imagined.
The most recent test of my faith was a few weeks ago. I had a nervous/mental...

This seems an interesting site. I'm looking forward to getting to know some of you and adding a bit more Christian fellowship to my life. I'm Mika, I'm 30ish, and I'm an American living in Eastern Europe. I was brought up by 2 saved and transformed-by-God hippies who taught me that the most important thing in life is Jesus Christ. When I finally and truly understood that 'all have sinned' meant me personally, I begged God's forgiveness and He saved me! He's a good God. In college I met and fell in love with my husband, a crazy man who loves God more than anything on this earth. I thought I had a pretty good idea what I was getting into when he raved about missions in Eastern Europe, and I was fully on board. It's been an adventure, not always great, but God is in it and we trust Him. We have three incredible girls. Really, they're about as cool as kids come. Yeah, God's good. More later......

Its been more than a year since I joined CB but never got around to writing a blog yet. I was hesitant for I am not comfortable writing about myself. This is something left over from my life before I was saved. I was an introvert and would be happiest being alone, the whole house to myself. Well now thats changed, its as if God places me in situations that I am afraid of finding myself in! Although I never wrote a single blog I have been reading the blogs here regularly. GrandmaBruce, B2Y, tchable, greybear, kk, youaregolden and all the other blessed brothers and sisters in Christ - its been a blessing to read your blogs. So confronting my fear of writing publicly here's my first blog entry! So a little more about myself now. I am an expatriate living in the United Arab Emirates with my family. We have been living here for over ten years now. Surprisingly the majority of people here in the UAE are not locals but expats like myself, and Indians being a majority among those. I live in the capital city Abu Dhabi which is a nice green city in the middle of...

Allow me to introduce myself, I am cowboy a 48 year old married man with two adult children. I have 3 dogs and a horse who I must confess bring me a temendous amount of pleasure, they truly are blessings from God. I am fortunate to have been born to believing parents and my father is with the Lord today. I followed Christ at the age of 11 and have stumbled and fell many times but through His grace and mercy I am still a child of the King. I am a Pastor who currently doesn't lead a church, I am selling Heating and Air right now, but hopeful that God will use me again when He is ready. I am hopeful that this will be an edifying site for me and my wife, a place I can ask questions, share thoughts, and fellowship with other believers, I tend to shy away from using the word "Christian" because of the broad use of the word these days. I hope that this site will help me grow in my faith. I look forward to developing friendships with many of you and worshiping with you as well. HE IS RISEN... HE IS...

Welcome to all fellow Beaver classmates who are followers of Christ!
I think it is important to keep the Co-op C/O 83 website free from religious or political views that
may cause too much friction or discomfort for all to participate freely and on equal footing. After all, we want all
classmates to participate and enjoy the class website.
Yet, as a Christian, I would like to offer a space where we can come together as brothers and sisters in Christ!
I have been so blessed to get to know various classmates who are "family" as a classmate as well as being "family"
as a part of the body of Christ.
Those who are interested in Christianity, living out our lives as Christians, and living our lives in surrender and
obedience to Jesus Christ can freely gather here and discuss and share to your heart's content. I don't want this
to be my website. I want this to be OUR website. Please join in!!!
Even though we all come from various backgrounds and interests as well as different church families, I look forward to
a chance to bond and encourage one another, to serve each other and non-believers and worship...

Hi everyone! I am just now becoming a member of this blog! I have really felt that God has laid it upon my heart to get into something in which I can discuss, and maybe even help with, and questions or concerns that people may have. My mother is a youth minister, and my ROLE-MODEL! I think that Jesus/God is the most amazing thing that has EVER happened to me! I think that anyone who comes to know God has been given the greatest gift EVER! And that's what a relationship with God is... a gift. Because none of us deserve it, yet we are given it with no fear of losing it.
I am a freshman in college, and while my major is not religion- I still have a passion for it.
I am single- and just waiting for God to do His work... in HIS time! My motto is - Dance with God. He will let the perfect man step in! - it's a really good thing to live by.
I want to help anyone that needs it, and would love for any help you guys could give!...

Allow me to introduce myself |

Posted by:
slynn8 (Posted: 03/03/2009 7:34pm)
I am new to the blogging community and am really looking to express myself in a way that is productive, theraputic, and inspirational- hopefully.
You see, I am a single mom to a beautiful 7-year old boy, a successful systems analyst for a national, but-will-remain-unnamed grocery chain, a big sister, a best friend, a charity event organizer, and an independant, self-reliant woman. But these things do not "define" who I am. I am a child of Christ. His child.
My faith was instilled in me from the day I was born. I grew up in a small (and by small I mean a congregation of 50... on Easter) Baptist church- a renovated house-turned-church, in my hometown. Well, THE small Baptist church, because it was a pretty small town. As far back as I can remember, I was always in church. We may have been small but we sure were a close-knit family. We'd have dinners, revivals, baby showers, weddings, vacation bible school, youth outings, knitting/quilting gatherings, even cleaning parties where we'd all bring our cleaning supplies and clean house- I mean church.
My mom would get us ready and drop us off at church and be back to pick us...

How I returned to The Word |

 |
Posted by:
aliveintheword (Posted: 03/03/2009 7:44am)
My History
I was raised in a family of strong faith. As a child I the guidance and examples of my parents (especially my father) of living a Christian life. I had eleven years "perfect attendance" at Sunday School. I learned the Bible Stories (children's versions) and knew the basic stories contained in the Gospels. Oh, what wonderful, perfect stories they were (and are). The Creation, Noah's Flood, Sampson, David (the perfect guy who slew the giant and played the lyre). And the wonderous stories of the Gospels, the life and death of Jesus. Such glorious stories! And I really understood-- NOTHING!
As a child and adult, success came easily to me. Academics, athletics, social relationships. I found I had a natural understanding of math and science. Later, in business, I experienced great success. I my first year of college, I met and after two years married a marvelous, Christian woman. In a few years, we were blessed with two great sons. We brought them up in the Church. Life, for us, was pretty darned good.
Career wise, I started in teaching (college level, mostly graduste students) at highly repected Business Schools. My field was in business and social science,...

This is my story of salvation |

daisies (Posted: 03/02/2009 3:12pm)
A number of years ago, my son's friends hung out in the library when I worked at the school. I saw one particular young man in this group take a great deal of ridicule and teasing because of his open and outspoken witness for the Lord. This young junior high kid, maybe 14 years old, wasn't afraid to tell what he believed to anyone around him. As I watched the teasing, I was constantly amazed at his self-control. He never reacted in anger. He never teased back. He never ridiculed their lack of faith. He always remained steadfast. He always stayed friends. He gained my respect, and wonder. He had something I was lacking.
In time, he brought a book he was reading to school. (I love books. I read constantly. I inhale the written word.) I asked him about it and he enthusiastically told me how awesome the series is.
After this, I kept seeing this book in the bookstores, and even in the grocery stores. Finally, I gave in and bought the first book in that series, Left Behind.
Reading that book rocked my world. It was merely a work of fiction, but I sat holding that volume...

I just came across this site today and decided to join. Here's a bit about me...
At a very early age I became a believer in God and Santa Claus. My faith in the latter was an early casualty after I observed my dad taking a bite out of 'Santa's cookie' one snowy, Christmas Eve back in the 50's. The late 60's saw the jettisoning of my faith in God after I was confronted with the theory of evolution in my 10th grade biology class at Roosevelt High School in Des Moines, Iowa. After subsequently considering the 'problem of suffering,' I decided that the omnipotent and loving God portrayed in the Bible could not exist. (If he were all-powerful and loving, he would put an end to evil and suffering on our planet, right?) This provided me with a great rationale to abandon my 'parent's lifestyle' and fully enjoy the liberties of the late sixties youth culture. During the early 70's I re-examined my new-found agnostic creed. More on that shortly.
Since my high school days, I've gone to and graduated from college (Taylor U.) and seminary (Bethel) gotten married to a wonderful woman, had 7 great kids (3 of...

I wandered into this site after I had made a posting at my website, because I wanted to get some feedback from some Christians. I may end up blogging here as well too. It looks that way. I had a very troubled past and I'm writing my life story. I have cirrhosis of the liver now and am trying to get a lot of things into written form. I also have other medical conditions. I have had life experiences that most people never have, and have been down a path in life that you would never want to travel. That's what I'm writing about. If you are interested the website is listed in my profile information here at christianblog. I think it would be enlightening for Christians and also non-Christians to read first-hand about my actual life experiences. It's not a pretty picture. My Dad was a minister for many years. He eventually took his own life. I don't know a lot of the answers to the questions about life, but I do believe in God and that we are His children. So that's sort of my introduction. Glad to find this place, and I think I'll be blogging here...

Hey, Well my name is Stephanie, and I'm 19 years old. I live in Canutillo, Tx. It's not a really popular city, but it's right next to El Paso, Tx. Maybe You've heard of it, haha.
Anyways, this place is really new to me. I've never really written much blogs before. I have written some on myspace, but I don't really get on there much. (Not really a big fan of myspace)
Umm.. I was hoping to be able to just write things here about whats going on in my daily life and maybe get some helpful advice from my fellow brothers and sisters in christ. I hope to learn and grow more in my relationship with christ by others around me. I thought maybe a place like this would be a good place to start. So just thought I'd introduce myself first and well apparently I have to submit at least five blogs in order to do anything else so hah, I'm pretty much going to have to write a lot of stuff here. Ok well, I'm currently a student at El Paso Communtiy College here in Texas andI'm majoring in education. It's barley my 4th semester and I'm pretty...

My name is Chris Lunn. I am 27 years old and I have been saved 6 years. God has worked wonders for me. The first thing I want you to do is read my testimony. I believe that God put me on this earth to reach out to those who feel lost and on drugs. And if God can get me off of drugs then he can do the same for them too. Just because a person is on drugs, does not give us a reason as a body of believers to shun them away from the church. It is what God wants us to do, reach out to everyone in every background regardless of where they have been in life. But along with that, I know that it is a long hard road. Like I said in my testimony, drugs will make a person selfish. Drugs will cause grief and sorrow with whatever, wherever and whoever you cross in life. I know this from experience. Although God may not be the author of grief or sorrow, he will use that as something to build upon to show what kind of mess you cause in other people's lives to convict...

New Believer Struggling w Sin |

Hello Everyone,
This is my first blog entry, so I just wanted to introduce my self and talk a little about my situation. Here goes...
I am 22 y/o and I grew up in church for the bulk of my adolescent years, but I am now a new-believer in Christ out of pure want/need for Jesus' salvation and no longer because it is required by my parents.
I had been dating a guy for over a year now who I met at our job and living in sin along with him. He started going to church w/ his family after being confronted with a number of difficult and challenging experiences in his life. I watched and wished him the best, but would not participate... mostly because I felt too deep into it and could not change. About four months ago, after partying, drinking and having intercourse with me the day before he went to church one Sunday and was filled with the Holy Spirit. He was sick of the way he was living and totally surrendered his life to God. He would be forever changed at that moment. I was devastated at first, because I just knew that would be...

I'm new here--just wanted to say hi! |

melmikulecky (Posted: 02/14/2009 7:40pm)
Hi there,
I'm Melanie M. and I've never been on a blog before...but there's always a first for everything, right?
Anyway, I'm 20 and am attending the University of Calgary--taking Electrical engineering. The reason I decided to try joining this blog is because my family stopped going to our church (due to getting a new pastor that didn't do any good for our church) about two years ago, and I'm really feeling like I miss the fellowship of believers. Some people tell me that I should join a Christian club on Campus, but I have so little time seeing that I'm in engineering that I feel it would be a bad idea to try to commit to something like a club where consistent attendance is appreciated...I hope that a blog will be better for that...
Anyway, I'd love to meet some people on here...and maybe ask some questions that have me thinking lately...but apparently I can't ask questions until I've posted a few blogs...
Cheers,
Melanie...

Praise God for His Goodness! |

I just want to praise the Lord for his goodness! In this time of economic hardships, I am so thankful that the Lord continually provides for us! As newly weds, 16 years ago, God constantly provided for our needs every single day and he continues to bless our family. Unfortunately, we have seen the effects of this economy around us. A couple of friends have been laid off and one had to close her business. I share with them my trust in the Lord that He has a plan for each of us. If we put our whole trust in Him and follow His guidance, He will always provide. I was laid off from a job in 2000. Although I was very disappointed at the time because I enjoyed the work I was doing, eventually I saw the blessing I received from that experience.
I am thankful that my husband and I both have good jobs, we have a home, food in the cupboards and most of all we have our faith and relationship with our Heavenly Father!
Praise God!...

I just signed on here and this is my 1st Christian blog. I've been on sports blogs, as I love sports, and I'm an avid sports card collector-mainly baseball now though. But I'm at the point on those message boards where feel that the negative direction of non-believers and the world in general towards Christianity today taking it's toll on me. I try to be a light there, but the ridiculing, chastisement, and just blatant darkness has caused me to post very infrequently. So I've decided if I want to be on a blog site I should get on a faith-based one and this one looks pretty good. I just googled Christian blogs and this one was at the top so I checked it out, and it seemed like a nice site. I am married to my wife Liz, and we are both Born-Again Christians. We have 3 little girls. Hannah -7, Ashley -5, and Erin -4. As I said I love sports, as well as playing golf, hunting, and fishing. I play the guitar--but not very well... I hope to get a little better though... I pray that everyone will be an encouragement to me and I to them...

Hi. My name is Jeremy Nelson and have been a Christian for a while now. I have a beautiful wife named Theresa and 3 daughters, Alexis, 15, Sabry'n, 10, and Jessamin, 9. All 4 are the most precious gifts from our Father. Life would be miserable without them. I work for a telecom contractor and I splice fiber optics. I have been doing it for a while. Really fun.
My wife and I host a bible study group here in Sunny Phoenix, AZ. There is about 8 of us. We mainly just read the bible and discuss what we read. We try to find out the time frame, culture, and everything else that pertains to what we read. Our bible study group is not affiliated with any church. We wanted to do it because of all the churches we have attended, none of them have gotten deep into the bible. We were tired of the bumper sticker slogans that the pastors preached everyday. Nevertheless, we have found a bible reading church, but have decided to continue on with our bible study group. It has been a real blessing.
By the way, if you are in the Phoenix area, and need...

Hello My sweet friend and family, how has life been treating you guys? I haven't been on the site in weeks. Did you guys miss me? Well I missed you guys a lil and I've been wondering just what have you all been up to? What have you learned new about our Lord and Savior and our one true God! Well for me the last few week have been wonderful and triumpful. Week one my 78yr old Grandmother had to be hospitalized for extremely high sugar levels. so I was busy with visiting and helping her. Week two I got busy with my future writing on my book the testimony of what God has done for me and through me. And I must say that it is coming alone better and faster than I thought. When I'm finished I expect great support from you guys, I'm planning on having it to be sold on amazon.com, so you can be able to purchase a copy of it. Week three I was busy setting up a web site for my big humongous family, I got that done and it is now up and running. I have also been helping with my 20yr...

Hello all. My name is Christina and I am new to the site. I am very excited to be here. With the whole myspace/facebook phenom it was easy to stay in contact w/ friends but not everyone is walking the same path as I am. I love my friends and I pray for them, but I decided to not subject myself to those sites anymore, they ended up being more negative than positive. I hope to be able to meet new friends in Christ and grow here! I have looked around and it seems pretty well thought out. I have enjoyed reading several blogs and can tell I will be spending some time daily on this site. I preffer to type my daily conversations w/ the Lord to "journal." I was looking for somewhere to blog them and this seems to be the site. I like the opportunity for others to share in what I am going through, thinking about, sharing praises and experiences... battles...you name it. I have had a hard time meeting Christians that admit they still make mistakes. I think it comes with my age group (young adults) and lot of people are prideful and dont want...

Hello to all
It is a pleasure to join with other Believers in sharing experiences, ideas, thoughts, interpretations, philosophies and so forth. Actually, I stumbled across this site quite unintentionally and believe it was the leading of the Holy Spirit.
A Little About Me:
I was ordained in the African Methodist tradition, seminary educated at Ashland Theological Seminary, Ashland Ohio, For three decades, I served progressively as youth pastor, assistant pastor and ultimately senior pastor. Also holding degrees in Social Work and Clinical Counseling, I performed in various social service capacities as well. After retiring, I relocated to Florida from Detroit, and currently provide end-of-life education to people of color residing in Palm Beach County.
I look forward to engaging opportunities with you. I will be visiting as often as possible though my ministry usually keeps me very busy as I am sure you can relate. As I learn to navigate this site and become more comfortable with it, I will probably be around more often.
Blessings always,...

Good Evening, I am being obedient to the rules of CB and opening with a greeting. I was always taught to speak when you enter a room anyway. Though this is not a room, I agree that it is appropriate to greet you. I am excited about this site and look forward to getting to know everyone and fellowshipping with other believers. God has been so good to me, and I am certain to you as well. I am thankful that the internet allows us to be able to connect with each other, learn from one another, and share. I am not online everyday, mainly because I am on the computer at work all day, but that may change now that I've found this blog site. Well, thanks for taking the time to read this. Have a wonderful night (currently it is 10 pm eastern time). Afterthought: God Bless each of you. PS: I was a few words short... .this should just about cover it. As I journey through this path of life, I seem to come across more and more people who want more in life. They are individuals just like me who are searching for meaning and wanting to truly making a difference in the world they live in. That world includes personal identity, marriage, family, finances and dreams. One of my greatest joys and satisfactions come in helping these individuals find meaning and making a BIG impact in their world. In fact, it is part of my calling. It is part of the role that I have been chosen to play in this HUGE story that we are all a part of. I want to help equip individuals to become all that GOD has called them to be and then for them help others do the same.
I have created this blog site to help do just that. My desire in equipping is to share my life and the truths that I have learned and are still learning in the hopes of helping spur others on towards love and good deeds. I hope that the reader will be inspired, encouraged, moitvated, and equipped to move forward on this amazing journey of life...

Hello, everyone. I'm new not only to ChristianBlog, but, blogging period. I've felt that God has been leading me for a very long time to write and it is my prayer that this will be for his Glory and his Kingdom, cuz that's what it's all about anyway, right? I know that I have to remind myself of that... it seems to be easier as of late, but something that will always be my light. I just have to laugh already...my loving Hubster in his wonderful sense of humor said, "oh, there is a 150 word minimum???? Oh that may be a problem! Not! He cracks me up. He just knows that if there is a maximum I may have a problem. I haven't even a clue on how this all works yet...and I don't know if anyone will even be able to read this, but, I'll figure it all out as it comes. Any suggestions are most welcome. I want Him to be in control of this and I pray that he will weave His story through me in a way that will bless you, me and those he so desires to come to Him still. Even if its...

Hi everyone... I thought I would stop by and introduce myself...
My name is Adam and I live in the great state of Arizona... Where everyone says we have a dry heat, but no matter how you look at it 115 is HOT. I have been a blessed child of God all my life, but only been saved by his glory since my sophomore year in high school where my Wife (Girlfriend at the time) led me to him. Since then my life has been changed and blessed ever since..
My wife and I got married in 2003 when I was 21 after beating the odd and being together throughout high school. We have not been happily married for over 5 years with an eternity to go. We have 2 great kids. Our first James was born in May 2005 and Alyssa in August 2007. Both of my children have a blessing of God written all over them.. Here are their stories..
When my wife was pregnant with James, our doctor was concerned after a normal ultra sound showed that he had one kidney larger than the other. The doctor ordered weekly ultra sounds for my wife from 5 months...

monisola (Posted: 01/16/2009 5:33am)
Finally, I am here! I cannot tell you how pleased I am to be a member of this site.
Well, welcome! All I have to offer here are the random musings and thoughts of a Naija (Nigerian) Woman/Wife/Mother desperate for many things like any other person but whose major 'desperado-ness' however is to know Jesus Christ and be like Him in every way in everyday life. I am no writer and make no claims to being Aristotle. This place is simply my 'mental spa' where I come to let loose my views, thoughts, feelings and make memories of my experiences.
I would like to kick off this relationship by sharing my prayer points for this first month of 2009. Be Blessed!
1. Dear Lord, as I start out in 2009, Search My Heart. Where ever I have missed it. Set me straight. Put my feet on the right road cos there will be protection and provision there for me and mine. Psalm 139: 23 & 24
2. Dear Lord, Teach me Your Way. Let me Walk in Your Truth. I know if I do this, 2009, will be alright. Psalm 86:11
3. Dear Heavenly Father, Have mercy on me in...

Why didn't my water baptism change me? |
 |
 |
Posted by:
tomkyo (Posted: 01/11/2009 9:29am)
Did you lose that newly baptized feeling? Now you may or may not attend church and take part in their activities to a certain degree, and deep down inside wonder; have I done enough? Am I really saved? What about the lie I told yesterday? Can I lie, steal, commit adultery, fornication and still be with God? Why didn't my water baptism change me so I don't do these things anymore? If you have asked yourself any of these questions then you really are a child of God and need to know that he has provided you rest from these things. These questions and many others like them are a burden to us that destroy our faith and through fear, separate us from God. In the New Testament they are referred to as a yoke, for not only do they guide us but also represent a burden for us to carry. So what is the answer? How do we rid ourselves of this burden of not just asking the questions, but committing the acts also? Jesus said: "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and...

i've written a couple of entries now, and decided I'm staying , so it seems like high time I introduced myself. I am in my 30's, and have been a Christian all my life, although my faith has manifested itself in different ways. As a child I was taken to a variety of Church of Egland churches, depending on where we were living at the time. I liked the music, and it never crossed my mind that there wasn't a God. I didn't really know who he was though. As I got older I found that the church raised more questions than it answwered, and all the confirmation preparation, boble study groups, and even being an alter girl, didn't seem to bring me any closer to God. I was still searching for something. The hypocrisy I saw upset me so much that i my mid teens I walked away from that church, and afterr a short dabble in the local Baptist church, I walked away from churches for good. I had decided that with the way they were run, it was probably the last place any good God would want to be.
I starterd to actually read the nice decorative...

Hello hello this is officially my second blog I didn't see the Welcome/Introduction section
Right now I am trying to put an exhaltation(is that how you spell it) together for church tomorrow and it isn't going that good. I am procastinating I do not know why I have such little faith in myself. If I can not be trusted with little responsibility then I will not be trusted with a lot. I don't know if this a test. I don't even know why I was asked. In all honesty It is my fourth time going to that church but I do know most people there. The elder pastor there has seen me prayer before at other places. I know he is trying to encourage me to grow I do not know I am being so negative about it. I am just nervous cause because I know that all the parents of the youth I teach are starring at me from the crowd. But y am I worried about failing man...I should worry about failing GOD. I really just think im nervous... ... . so yes second blog...hmmmm right now in my life I am at the most confused part.

The necessity of faith and fellowship |
 |
 |
Posted by:
rick0853 (Posted: 12/26/2008 9:02pm)
Hello everyone,
I have taken this opportunity to join this community of believers to share thoughts, ideas, and the challenges of walking as a Christian in a difficult world. As I've come to the end of this year, I admit to a troublesome one. My wife has had some health problems, I have had some job issues, and my local church has gone through a schism where my pastor (and friend) was essentially forced out of his position and the church has split in half. ,
Having set this picture, I want to thank and praise God; for His love, for His mercy, and for His faithfulness. As He said that He would never forsake us, I discover ways every day that this is true. From strengthening in a time of trouble to comforting in a time of pain; from the joy of having His Word to the gratefulness of being given understanding by His Spirit, our God is truly an awesome God.
I look forward to the time shared with bothers and sisters in Christ, in fellowship and with the chance to encourage, to stimulate thought and to be edified and perhaps edify someone.
Thanks
Rick0853...

Hi, I am new here. I just wanted to find a place to interact with other believers. I hope to get to know people here and have a wonderful experience supporting our similarities and love of CHRIST, as well as respect our differences. I am a member of the LDS Church and am a firm believer in Jesus Christ. He IS my LORD, my Redeemer, my savior and my BEST FRIEND.
I don't question other's Christianity and I hope people here will also not question mine, but I certainly welcome honest questions! There really isn't much more, save fishing, that I like to talk about other then my walks with Christ!
I hope to get to know people here and to participate in some GREAT discussions! After the backlash from Prop 8, I feel that is is harder than ever to belong to the LDS Church and to be a Christian in general. Hopefully we can continue to pull togather for HIS glory!
God Bless!...

My name is Ann Marie. I am very new to blogging, but so far, I am having fun. Not just having fun, but I am thankful for such a warm reception I have received with my first blog. What a blessing this is.
I am a 53 year old mother of 2 boys. My oldest is 18 and in community college, having a bit of difficulty grabbing onto this idea of being and adult. I guess that's not really not too unusual. Very thankfully, he is not out running around, drinking and getting into trouble. My other son is 16 and is a sophamore in high school. He has an incredible, sensitive spirit. He has an incredible knack for chosing friends and is very loyal.
My sons and I share a home with my mother who is a very energetic, lively 90 year old. My father was also with us until he went home to be with the Lord this last August. While it is hard, it was truly a blessing. He was not well and had no real quality of life left. When he passed, he was surrounded by his family. We were able to truly honor him at...

Ryan Dale, and what he believes |
 |
 |
Posted by:
ryandale (Posted: 12/20/2008 10:00pm)
What I believe
I have become convinced through many sources of learning in my life that the Bible is the inspired Word of the Living God who created all things. God is infinite and so far beyond the grasp of our tiny minds, yet He has made it possible for us to know Him, through the revelation (revealing) of His Word (a.k.a. the Bible, Scripture). He is more interested in relationships than religion. He intends for us to have a personal relationship with Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. That relationship is based on obedience and faith -- not "blind" faith, but faith in His Word, His promises and the fact that He is Faithful and True. Without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6)
True Faith involves reading the Bible on a consistent basis, understanding what you read, applying it to yourself first and choosing to live your life according to what you know from the Bible. Doing all of that consistently will change your habits, your thoughts and, eventually, your character. Faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is the only way to God, the Father.
My summery of the Bible: (an incomplete, work in...

New to blogging |

I am new to blogging, this is my very first blog entry anywhere. I am really not sure what to say even. I am not an outgoing person so meeting new people has always been a big challenge for me. So I thought that maybe I would try this as a way to meet new people. I am from a small town in southeast Nebraska that is in between Omaha and Lincoln. We are very limited in what we have for nearby churches, and have none that fill our need for Christ. Most of the churches in our area are either what I consider "dead" churches, and the rest do not in my mind follow the bible the way it was meant to be followed. The other problem we run into is that majority other of the people in our own town are not Christians, or claim to be, but do not seem to have any desire to follow God. So between my problem meeting new people, and our isolation, I felt I needed to do something to get with Christians....

Let me start by saying that I have never blogged before... I am a wife of a pastor and a mother of two teenagers...I have really been low on my faith lately and I come across Christianblog.. I have been saved for 5 years,Praise God!! Most days, I know that if I wasn't saved and didn't have God to turn to, I would go crazy.. Hopefully I will get the hang of this blogging.. My husband has been evangelising for about 7 years, but we have only had a church of our own for 2 years. This has been the been the hardest 2 years of my life... He tells me that the devil is fighting us, but I have to wonder is it the devil or are we not in Gods will somehow.. We have had to struggle so much... My kids have not even had a Christmas for the past 2 years..It is really hard for me to understand this... I do love the Lord with all my heart, but sometimes I just sit and cry and try to understand...
I am hoping to connect with other Christians and Pastors wives.
God Bless...

Hi there.
I am new on this site. I am a 20 year old theology student. I am presently finishing up a theology b.a. in Alberta, Canada.
Next september, I will be starting my postulant (first formation year) in a religious community of sisters...after 3 years of discerning my religious vocation, I am now secure enough about God's plan for my life. Meanwhile I am a chaplain in a hospital, and also work alot in youth ministry. I have volunteered in prison ministry a little bit in the past, but not as much as I would have wished. I also love all that is missionary...my heart is in third-world countries, where I had the chance to go to work a few times.
I hope that together, we may share our insights!
I hope you will all be able to teach me some things, as I may also bring my little dash of salt to this site!
Feel free to write to me, add me, chat with me!
I'll be glad to get to know you all!

Hey everyone! Just a little background on me... my name is Jess and I'm a 27 year old happily married mom of two small children with a third child on the way. My life pretty much revolves around my kids at the moment... my daughter is 4 and is in preschool, my son is going to be 3 in January, and I'm 23 weeks pregnant with another baby girl. My husband and I have been together for 8 years, though we've only been married for 3 years. Yes, we got married after our first was born... our daughter was 10 months old and in our wedding... I was also a few months pregnant with our son. I'm sure I'll get into all of that in more detail in a future blog... Anyway, I currently work outside the home in an extremely secular environment, but I'm praying that God provides my husband with a job soon and that I can get back to seeking at-home employment and taking care of my little ones full-time. Just wanted to say Hi. This is my first blog here. I am curious to see what all I might find, and look forward to investigating the site. Hm. Not long enough, huh?
OK. Well... .I'm a single Mom of 2 beautiful, active boys, ages 7 & 15. I have 3 feline companions and a Leopard Gekko. I have lived in several states and one country in Europe, so far. I have a severe case of wanderlust, and I crave the time when I can travel and see some more of the beauty God set down here. I am a friend of Bill W.'s, Jimmie K.'s, and I have been told that I have an unusual sense of humor. I'm ok with that today.
I am working on a degree in Human Services. I have a brother and one living parent. I prefer coffee to tea, but a friend gave me some blueberry tea a few days ago and I kind of like it. Can you tell that I'm just filling space, at this point? lol
Blessings to all
abbie...
