God is my Comfort in My Grief |

It is with a very heavy heart that I share the news I received from the doctor today. I went for my normal check up and this was where we would hear the heartbeat. He couldn't find the heartbeat. So he decided to do a quick ultrasound and things still did not look good, so he then decided on an internal ultrasound and there the sad news came, baby's heart was not beating, baby was not moving, baby stopped growing at about 12 weeks of age. The tears streamed down my face and how could doctor and nurse tell me how sorry they were. No words can comfort when the loss is so great. They want me to get a D & C, but I will not, because this will rip my baby into pieces to extract it, it is just like an abortion. I will give it to the Lord, He will see to it that this baby be born, whether it is dead or alive and I will at least be able to look upon its' face. God is my comfort as He gave me an understanding husband whom supports my decision 100%. God is my comfort as I share the news with Golden as I drive home through my tears. God is my comfort by giving me a friend whom had the same thing happen at 20 weeks and when she was my age, He is my comfort when she offers to come if needed and to call her if I need, even in the middle of the night and as she prays for me over the phone. God is my comfort as my children cry great tears of grief, surround me with their sadness and love, but a hour later are happily playing with one another, praise God for little children whom can rebound so much better then we can. God is my comfort as a friend calls to reschedule a lunch and I can share my tragic news and get her love, prayers and more offers of help. I praise God for His comfort and even though this loss is great I do have peace and know God is in control, that nothing in this world happens without His knowledge and that now my wee babe is in His arms, what better place is there? It is so much better that my little Josh whom is six said he wanted to die right now and be there with the baby, He trusts God and believes that being in His presence is a better place than here. So I add another little baby to the little ones I will be reunited with one day. Now I wait. I wait until my body begins the process and I must seek His comfort to carry me through. I must put my trust in Him to take care of me through this and my precious family. So I share my sad news and ask that you wrap my family and I in your prayers. Thank you so much for being there through the joys and sorrows of this life, I do so ever look forward when there will be no tears, no sorrow but forever worshipping our Great God and King! Sister Andrea,
My heart was saddened reading about your child. I thank God you know He is your comfort. You have brothers and sisters all over the world who will be praying for you and your family during the difficult days ahead. I know we have already begun in North Carolina and will continue to do so.
I know He has His loving arms around you comforting you as no one else can.

I can only add that I am with everyone else in saying
our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family.
I starting crying when I realized where your words were going.
I cried with my sister over 40's years ago when she miscarried a baby. I cry for you now.

My mom works with people in your situation, so I know it must be very difficult to go through. My sincere prayers are with you, and it is very brave of you to continue on in the pregnancy. I pray that the Lord will give you endless strength and healing...
Remember, the Lord doesn't close one door without opening another...

I'm sorry to hear of your loss and I know how terrible you feel right now. I just want you to know someone else cares and is praying for you to be comforted during your grief....time will continue to fill your life with beautiful moments and though we may never understand 'why' these things happen we find peace in knowing that in Christ no one is lost. The love that has been showered on me is overwhelming, I am in tears this morning. Thank you for your prayers. As they say that waiting is the hardest part. Yesterday, I was kind of numb today I am weepy as I wait for my body to do something, it is hard. It is hard to wait and be in a state of limbo, pregnant but not pregnant. My husband is so sad, he really took it hard. I lean on the Lord for His strength and I am more grateful then words can describe for the many prayers offered up on our behalf. Thank you. I just came across this post Andrea.
I know I can't say anything to make it better, but please believe me when I tell you I am sincerely sorry to hear of your loss. True, you will meet up with your precious little one in Heaven one day, but that does not stop the hurt today.

Oh dear sister in Christ. There's nothing that I can say that will lessen the woe of losing a precious child, and I may be just another number amongst the other comments, but know that you have heaps of others praying for you, the baby, and your family. I sincerely am sorry for your loss, and know that God will take care of all of you. Sending hugs and prayers.
