My Christian wife left me for her high school sweetheart |

My wife just left me a high school sweetheart after 18 ½ year of marriage and three children.
Having trouble understanding how a Christian woman can just walk out of a marriage that has been nothing but good to them. My children are struggling to come to grips with the fact that their mother of a pastor can walk out on those she swore to take care of and comfort. Any support is appreciated, never thought I would find myself in this position, and it's actually killing me on the inside. I know as a pastor I have helped many in this position before, and now I can't for some reason help myself during my time of separation. Any words of encouragement for both myself or my three children affected by this is welcome.
Noting was wrong with our relationship, she just decided one day to move on on and think nothing about those close her, how it would change their lives for the rest of their lives.

pastor, i'm praying for you and your family.there are alot of great resources out there for you and your family in this most difficult time.2 ministries that i would recomend is focus on the family and new life out of laguna beach california.do a google search and you will find their websites.they both have been a blessing to me and my family and still are.i would encourage you as soon as possible to start the healing process.be blessed

Pastor,
I am in same situation. My wife left me for another woman after 12 years of marriage and 3 boys. It hurts to the core to feel unwanted. My words for you are to keep your focus on God and your ministry. God will help you through this. Its been 6 years since our divorce. Looking back, the first two years after the divorce I was like numb to what was going on. I remember everything, but, it was like God was carrying me through it. There were extremely hurtful times during 5 separate divorce / child custody hearings. It was unreal.
I will keep you and your family in my Prayers.

i cant say i know the feeling or that it wil get better or worse but i pray that God intervenes for you and your kids, pastor! words of encouragement hmm...all i can rele say is im praying for you brother and am here for you. dont know ya rele but am ur sister in the Lord. jus kno im praying for you and your family!

I am so sorry, I cannot fathom the devastation this has caused. I think that God is calling you deeply and you must listen to what He is trying to say. Sometime we must go through some pretty difficult things before we can hear what God is trying to say. Read Job and worship God!
Job 13:15:
Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.
This is the time for worship, show your children that our God is our comfort, that He is in control and that He cares and loves you all. Show them despite the pain and agony and grief you feel, that our God is worthy of our worship. That we can praise Him, even though it feels as if He is killing us.
I shall be lifting your family up in prayer, that the enemy will not get a foothold and may I also suggest that you pray for your wife, pray for her mightily and I will too, could you share her name?

I am so sorry, I don't know what to say. I'm young and what do I know right? What I do know is that God never lets anything happen without a purpose. Look at Joseph, his own family sold him! All I can tell you Pastor is that God has something big in store for you. The bigger the trial, the bigger the promotion God will give you The bigger the Goliath, the bigger the future. Just empty yourself before God. Tell him what you feel, it isn't always easy I'll tell you, but he wants to hear you. He loves you so much and I know he has something beautiful in store for you. I'll be praying for you and your family. Encourage your kids the best you can. Show them what it means to be a servant of Christ. Sometimes God puts us in desert land in our lives, with no water. But the thing is that he does it because he wants us to praise him with gratitude and to thirst for him. I know he has something big for you. And if it isn't here on earth, it's in heaven
