A Prayer Of Gratitude
Posted by:  cowgirldiva  (Posted: 07/20/08 10:05am)
Dear Holy Father, Thank you for sunny days; the kind that make you want to go outside, take a deep breath, and let the aromatic country air fill your lungs. Thank you, Lord, for rainy days as well, for it reminds us that after the hardship comes a beautiful rainbow and the sweet smell of wetness. Father, I praise you for the prairie and the gorgeous wild flowers. But Lord, we also thank you for the mountains, oceans, and deserts. Thank you for the birds' sweet melodies and music that is nourishing for the soul. Thank you for homemade apple pies, baseball, sandy beaches, and four-leaved clovers. I praise you for starry nights and the puffy, white, cumulous clouds that dot a May's sky. Thank you for books that open up a world of opportunity for young minds. I thank you for the animals that mean so much to us and for the wildlife that we sometimes don't appreciate as well. Thank you for untouched lands, secret passageways, and cowboy boots. Praise you, Lord, for the eagles that remind us of our freedom. Thank you for chocolate and marshmellows and banana bread and bicycles. I praise you for handmade quilts...

A Prophet of KISS
Posted by:  tchable  (Posted: 07/20/08 8:33am)
All of us have a family. We have a mother, a father, brothers and sisters. The strength of a family is found in the love they have one for another. Our parents are concerned with our safety and our growth while our brothers and sisters are concerned with our mutual support for each other. How does our spiritual family differ from our physical family? We have a heavenly Father, our parent, who loves us and is very concerned with our safety and our growth. We have brothers and sisters in Christ who, in love, are always there for us in time of need. Our earthly family is only a shadow of what is to come in the Eternal. Our relationship, one with another, our love for one another, is the adhesive which holds us together as a family. The adhesion which builds our relationships with one another is love. That which tears us apart is jealously, greed, and anything else which is self serving. Without love we may still have a relationship but it will be divisive, destructive, and terminal unless forgiveness is allowed to enter in. Our earthly father and mother are concerned with our safety and our growth....

Prophecy 20th July 2008.
Posted by:  evangelistbillybolitho  (Posted: 07/20/08 5:22am)
This prophecy came to me this morning from the Lord, 20th July 2008. The Lord said, "I have released a host of angels, from the four corners of the earth where the four winds blow, bringing my angelic host of angels to exalt and to glorify Jesus Christ on earth. For they were created especially to glorify and exalt my only begotten Son Jesus Christ." Thus says the Lord. Our Heavenly Kingdom. Jesus said, "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world," {John 16 v 33}. You see if you are a true child of God you will have trials and tribulations. Now I just love the word of God, it encourages, strengthens and blesses us so much. It says in Hebrews 11v38 "That this world is not worthy of us". So you see this world is not worthy of you and never will be good enough, heaven is your destination, for it is written, "We look for a city whose maker and builder is God." Now Abraham was looking for heaven, he had his eyes and heart...

Why Context is KING in Studying Your Bible!
Posted by:  wormwood  (Posted: 07/19/08 8:13pm)
I am going to try to make this blog very simple and basic. Because that is what studying our Bible should be, right? Have you ever had a time when someone took something you said out of context? You meant one thing, but someone later quoted just a portion of what you said and even perhaps in a different tone and it made what you said sound completely different from what you intended! Frustrating huh? You have to stand up and say, "No, I didn't mean it like that! You are twisting my words!" Unfortunately we do that all to often when it comes to God's Word as well. It happens to the best of us. Yet we need to strive above all things to try to study the context of the Scriptures. You will be amazed at how God opens your eyes when you study your Bible with a strong focus on the context. Just think of how silly we are often in studying our Bibles. Have you ever opened up a letter and started reading it from the middle point, read only a paragraph and then try to conclude the meaning? Try it sometime. Then take the same...

Remembering Good Old Fashioned Corny Humor
Posted by:  blessings2you  (Posted: 07/19/08 7:38pm)
It is a running joke that I am the only person in the world who never saw one minute of any "Star Wars" movie or "Star Trek" or "Spider Man" or any of the other movies everyone flocks to. I doubt if I ever will see the current "Batman" movie everyone is paying outlandish money to see nor will I ever see any movie for that matter. I don't go to movies and no longer rent or buy them either. But, I still do love to be moved by an old classic or laugh at old comedy. At times my wife and I like to watch various old comedies popular in the 1950's through the 80's. Shows such as "I Love Lucy" were classics at the time, but that humor was best loved by people like my parents who really did love Lucy. I really do like "Leave it to Beaver" along with "My Three Sons". Times back then were so much different than today, and definitely less complicated. My wife is 4 years younger than I and she was the oldest of the 4 children in her family. Her parents allowed the kids to watch one hour of television...

Letters to God during Marriage Separation #4
Posted by:  arizulu  (Posted: 07/19/08 4:34pm)
Dear God, Every time I pray to you to bring him back, he comes. Most times within minutes. But each time he leaves right away. Why? What are you wanting me to do or say? Or am I just to do nothing? Please guide us both! Lord, Heal Mark and he will be healed Save Mark and he will be saved for you are the one I praise Lord, Heal me and I will be healed Save me and I will be saved for you are the one I praise Dear God, Thank you for bringing Mark back. I believe. I know it may not be today or tomorrow, or even this month. But I believe what you have said in the bible and I have prayed for you to bring him back many times. So now I know you will when the time is right for us all. Please continue to help me be strong and continue to have faith, even when I am tested. I am weak and I know I will need your help to get through those difficult times. Thank you for loving me so much that you are willing to do this for me. But...

Letters to God during Marriage Separation #3
Posted by:  arizulu  (Posted: 07/19/08 4:21pm)
Dear God, I am sorry for the sorrow I caused today. Everyone loves us so much it is hard for them to see us hurting so. Thank you for sending your son to die on the cross to forgive our sins. We are not worthy. Heavenly Father, I am very worried about Mark. Please watch over and protect him. Help him to feel your love and for him to know I love him. Please help him seek any help he may need. And if it is your will, please bring him back. Your struggling servant, Shelly Dear God, Today was a good day spent working and spending time with Alex and his friends. I was here for them when they needed me and that feels good. I still miss Mark and pray to you, please bring him back to stay. Please help me to figure out what I need out of this relationship with balance and love. Yet also knowing I don't deserve to be lied to. I recognize I am not the one sinning (lies) so please forgive him. Please also forgive me for my selfishness. Lately it seems I only think of myself. Thank you for watching over...

Are the Gifts of the Spirit for today?
Posted by:  papillionkiller  (Posted: 07/19/08 4:41am)
Are the gifts for today? Do we worship the same God? Do we have the same Holy Spirit abiding in us as the early Church? Are we under the same commission as the early Church? Has God changed? If so when? If He has not changed and we are under the same commission then why isn't the Holy Spirit manifesting through us as He did in the early Church? If He has changed I simply ask for clear scripture stating when and why. Only thing I would like to say concerning what I've read (playing catch up, sorry) is if we won't to discuss the gifts of the Spirit then let's do that. Based on and by Scripture, what we understand and know, without throwing in all the Theology of opposing sides that can go on forever. I know and understand both sides and their Theology and I will state both are right in areas and both are wrong in areas. You, me are anyone else are never going to convince one side or the other of that statement. For what it's worth, I'm wrong for making that statement, from both sides. What I would like all to know is...

Oblation stopped and the Abomination set up...
Posted by:  tohimbeglory  (Posted: 07/18/08 10:45pm)
Let's take another trip into today news. Daniel 8:23-, "After their rein, when sinners have reached their measure..." 2Timothy 3," There will come times of stress for men will be lovers of themselves..." Back to Daniel 8:23 "There will rise a king, impudent and skilled in intrigue.""And the second seal was open, and there came a red horse and rider and a great sword was given to him to conquer and kill..." Now the word of God is a great sword and those who use it wrongly, well they succ
