Let The Waters Rise

apaulette1 posted:

How many of you have felt like you are drowning in a ocean of pain, turmoil, or hardship? You are trying to keep your head above water, but the waves are getting higher, the current is getting stronger, and you are starting to sink so deep that the light from the ocean's surface is beginning to grow dark. Convincing yourself that you have lost the fight, you begin to slowly let yourself sink to the bottom. Just when you start to lose consciousness and accept defeat, something amazing happens. A hand reaches into the crashing waves and pulls you to the surface. The sun suddenly appears through the clouds, and the waters immediately grow calm. You are standing on the shore overlooking where you were once trapped and wonder who would have risked giving their life to save yours?Over the period of the last five years, my family has experienced...

Author Of My Life!

apaulette1 posted:

A man by the name of E.P. Whipple quotes books are lighthouses erected in the great sea of time. Whether fictional, biography, fairytale, love, suspense, or tragedy, books tell a story. Some of the stories end happily while others unfortunately end...well, not so happy. Authors must determine what their story will be, and most importantly how it begins and ends. I had chosen to use this analogy because this relates to life. Some individuals choose to be the authors of their own life story. Unfortunately, the direction that we choose to write our life story may result in an ending that is inerasable. Tragically, other individual's stories are ended before they even have a chance to reach the centrefold, and their ending was printed before the rest of the book had a chance to be written. Every day that we are given is a new page that we add to...

Planting A Seed!

apaulette1 posted:

He replied, Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you Matthew 17:20. Faith...a word that is so simple and yet so powerful. Throughout our lives, there will be many situations where our faith will be tested. During my younger years, I once told my family that I did not care about my walk with Christ, and that I wanted to do what I wanted. But when I would have a problem, I would pray that God would help me. When I wasn't receiving the help that I was requesting, I would get very angry at God and continue to live a sinful lifestyle. However, I never truly believed that God was going to help me and...

The True Meaning Of Love!

apaulette1 posted:

Growing up in an Italian family has many advantages. First, there is the food! When Italian families get together, there is a smorgasbord of foods to choose from. For example, when my family gathers for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, Family Reunions, or maybe just an event we create so we have an excuse to get together, there is so much food that instantly fills a person's nostrils with yummy goodness that you just can't help yourself. Stuffed Shells, Eggplant Parmesan, Spaghetti, Italian Beef Sandwiches, Pies, Cookies, Salad, Garlic Bread, Pizza,...I mean you name it, we most likely have it as a dish on the counter. Yes, we may be extremely loud and eat like we are going to the electric chair, but there is one thing that you cannot mistake Italians for...and that is the love and affection we give to one another. You see, one thing that we have been...

Ordinary People For Extraordinary Purposes!

apaulette1 posted:

How many of you think of yourselves as an ordinary person? For most of you, if any of you are like me, I get up in the morning and practice the same daily routine. My routine consists of waking up, drinking coffee, showering, going to work, coming home, eating dinner, and going to bed knowing I must awake again the following day and do the same routine all over again! Currently, I am a college student and school takes up a large majority of my time, but because my schooling is all online and I will be officially graduated in less than two weeks, the Lord was gracious and gave me the opportunity to come spend the summer with my family. When I am not logged into class during the day, I work part time helping my aunt at her golf course this summer as a waitress and bartender. I...
