Thoughts On Kingdom Of God And Gospel Of God.

serveonlyhim posted:

Looking over the blogs, just catching up with everyone after being gone so long I can’t help put be drawn to the Kingdom of God/Gospel discussions, thoughts, and general writings. Of course I’d like to share some of my own general understanding to the subject.I’d like to start with Jesus but I think I’ll first begin with us (believers – followers of Christ). We are citizens of the Kingdom of God; Ambassadors for the Kingdom of God living and sharing the Good News of His Kingdom. Where we are under no condemnation from God we live in a land condemned. A place we once called Home but now is foreign and strange to us.Our desire is to please God, to watch for our King and Savors return, to go Home. Jesus coming was the fulfilling of the promises and Prophecies of old. Jesus came born from the linage of David into...

Reviewing A Small Sample Of The Doctrine Of Healing.

serveonlyhim posted:

God does heal the sickness, diseases, and land of His people. Ps. 6 David cried out for healing because he was feeble...my bones terrified...my soul...very terrified. Ps. 147 He heals the brokenhearted... Jer. 3:22 Return unfaithful children, I will heal your backsliding. Hos. 14:4 I will heal their disloyalty. As the centurion believed it his slave was healed. Jesus said “your faith has healed you” to the woman with a hemorrhage. True Jesus healed the mute, blind, lame and crippled and many others. Jesus gave authority to his Disciples to do all that He was doing in the house of Israel...as you go preach “the Kingdom of Heaven has come near.” Then we come to the four friends letting down their friend thru the roof and Jesus saw their faith and said your sins are forgiven you.The question is not by what means must a man be healed! The rulers of Israel...

Tradition! Tradition! Tradition!

serveonlyhim posted:

Tradition!I can’t help but think of my all time favorite book, play, and movie ‘Fiddler on the roof’* when I see or hear that word. This time of the year brings upon us many traditions in America; we call most of them Holidays.Tradition!Turkey, Ham, and Pheasant... sometimes, grouse.Cranberries and those savory gravies.Tradition!Sweet potatoes and whatever that green bean thing is... is there more? Some of these dishes are mysteries to me.Tradition!Tension among some, arguments with others, smiles and hugs all around.Family, what can you say!Tradition! As a Christian I took Colossians 2 to heart.I am labeled a tradition breaker.I am not a tradition keeper.Tradition!Let Jesus be our tradition so our praise and thanksgiving are true worship and not empty words.Tradition! So how does the fiddler stay on the roof?Tradition “Without our traditions, our lives would be as shaky as... as a fiddler on the roof!”Quote by Tevye.Credits:*Fiddler on the RoofOriginal fictional memoir by...

An Adventure Of Youth

serveonlyhim posted:

Youth does have some advantages, one is a determination to learn (something) even if not attending School. It was one of those wonderful fall days, mild temperatures, clear sunny skies, and two boys wanting nothing more than to be out in it rather than stuck in boring class' all day. Our School was located in downtown surrounded by asphalt, cement, and big brick buildings not much of a huckleberry fin adventure setting.Wondering the sidewalks trying to decide what to do as we were passing one of the oldest Churches in town I thought lets go in there and see their organ. All of the downtown Churches have humongous organs, some with World wide fame. When I was no taller than a belt buckle I sang in a chore competition (in the one pictured here) accompanied by an organ bigger than my first house. We entered the Church threw the main doors...

Encouragement - Worship And Serve

serveonlyhim posted:

From recent discussions and readings I have been rereading and thinking about these verses in Luke:And he led him up and showed him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said to him, I will give you all this domain and their glory, because it has been handed over to me, and I can give it to whomever I want. So if you will worship before me, all this will be yours. (Luk 4:58 LEB) Small intro This is the third time in my life I have been stopped or slowed to a snail’s pace with nothing but time; time to read, pray, think, and listen. This time I have problems and an illness that keeps me much in the moment, dull and unmotivated to read or do much of anything. So why do I start this blog with the above verse? Because...
