Divine Adoption And Sonship

tchable posted:

In the original the New Testament word for “adoption” is “huiothesia” meaning: The placing as a son . The word relates more to a position than to a relationship. In regeneration, the moment we receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we receive the nature of a child of God (Gal 3:2526). We are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. We have the right to call God Father (Gal 4:6). His indwelling Spirit gives us assurance of this truth. Now we are children of God (1 John 3:2). When? NOW ! ! !Therefore as Christians we obtain the place of a child and the right to call God our Father the moment we believe unto salvation. However, full manifestation of our sonship awaits resurrection, change, and translation which is known as “the redemption of our body.” Even now our spirit groans in desire and anticipation of our adoption...

Familiar Spirits: Knowing Your Enemy

tchable posted:

Christians are normally either “religious” or “spiritual” people. There are many differences in the two which are easily discernable. This message is not about our differences but about our enemy. A little while back I published a message titled: Religious Spirits are not Holy.” In this message I addressed the enemy which is most prevalent among religious people and more prominent in religious churches. Today I’ll address the enemy found among spiritual Christians and more commonly found in spiritual churches. This enemy is know as a “familiar spirit.”A familiar spirit is just as dangerous an entity among spiritual people and in spiritual assemblies as a religious spirit is among religious people and in religious assemblies. There was a familiar spirit active in the medium King Saul consulted. She conjured up the spirit of Samuel for the King (1 Sam 28:714). God punished King Saul with death for his transgressions which included...

Gospel, A Matter Of Semantics?

tchable posted:

Both the Hebrew (yeshua) and the Greek (soteria) words for “salvation” infer things such as deliverance, safety, preservation, healing, and soundness. The Greek word for “Gospel” is “euangelion”. It is a noun which means: a good message . To preach this good message (the Gospel) is to “euangelizo” which is a verb meaning: to announce good news or bring glad tidings. It is to preach a good message of good news .To preach a message of “justification” is to preach a good message of good news (Gospel). To preach a message of “redemption” is to preach a good message of good news (Gospel). To preach a message of “grace” is to preach a good message of good news (Gospel). To preach about “propitiation”, “imputation”, “forgiveness”, “sanctification”, or “glorification” is to preach a good message of good news (Gospel).“Etc”, “Etc”, and “Etc”.There is a divine threefold order of Salvation:(1) A bornagain believer has been...

That Which Is Spirit Is Spirit

tchable posted:

There are many who have departed sound doctrine and formulated their own gospel message. The holy word tells us this kind of behavior comes from a spirit of antichrist. Anyone who teaches contrary to what is found in Holy Scripture is preaching against the Word of God. Rev 19:13 tells us the Word of God is Jesus Himself. Therefore anyone who teaches contrary to the Word is teaching an antiWord doctrine which comes from a spirit of antichrist. I pray to God whoever would do this does it through ignorance and a lack of understanding of truth given in the Word of God.In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and full of truth....

Stop Worrying, God Is In Control

tchable posted:

Does current events, wars and rumors of wars, a nuclear Iran or North Korea, global warming, weather patterns, the global financial crisis, or anything else which may be happening in your life worry you? Many of us are terrified as we watch the evening news. However, our Lord says, Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand (Isaiah 41:10).Have you been blessed with savings, stocks & bonds, property and possessions only to see their value diminish or disappear since the financial crises began? Our Lord says to you, Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth or rust destroys and where...

Meditations Of My Heart: Jun 6, 2013

tchable posted:

God is amazing. His judgments are unsearchable and His ways are past understanding. The man who believes he understands God understands nothing. We only know and understand that which God determines to reveal to us individually.Consider the word given to the prophet Daniel. God revealed miraculous things to Daniel then told him: “Shut up the words and seal the book until the time of the end.” It is clear, even Daniel did not understand all that was given to him.So, why give these words all these years (centuries) before He would open man’s understanding of what He had spoken? We know God created man in the likeness of God. However, do we really understand what being in the likeness of God means? Who are we in the likeness of now, God or Adam? Hopefully it is not in the likeness of Satan.Have you considered the angels? They are created beings...

Religious Spirits Are Not Holy

tchable posted:

Paul tells us we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against rulers of darkness and spiritual hosts of wickedness. One of the most destructive of these is the spirit of religion.A religious spirit is one which wages war against the grace of God in our lives and our acceptance of Jesus’ sacrificial offering at the Cross of Calvary and God raising Jesus from the dead as being the fulfillment of all requirements for our justification. The greatest hindrance to the Church fulfilling its true calling in the world today is religious spirits operating through religious people and especially those who consider themselves to be ministers of the “gospel.”Religious spirits do all they can to block a truly intimate and loving relationship being formed between man and God. Religious spirits manifest in different ways in different people. One person may feel they are never good enough for God while another...

God Calls Us To Peace, Peace, Wonderful Peace

tchable posted:

We are a blessed generation living in a blessed age and economy of God toward man on earth. To those who will believe, through His New Covenant with man, God freely gives grace, mercy, and peace. My day had a beautiful and precious beginning as I opened Christianblog.com and read a message written by @watchmanjohn titled Have We Lost This Essential Blessing . The message is about the peace of God we receive through faith as part of our salvation. This message, written by our good brother, sent me into thought and meditation concerning the peace God is giving His children in this wonderful age of Grace we are living in. The bible speaks of the peace we have in God in four ways:(1) Peace with God: This peace is the work of Christ we enter by faith. (Eph 2:1417; Rom 5:1) (2) Peace from God: This is the peace found in...

Different Times, Different Missions

tchable posted:

The instructions for the mission Jesus sent His disciples on in Matthew 10:515 NKJV clearly differ from the instructions Jesus gave them pertaining to the mission He sent them on in Matthew 28:1620 NKJV. In the first case the twelve were sent only to the lost sheep of house of Israel with clear instructions to avoid Gentiles and not enter a city of the Samaritans whereas in the last, the eleven are sent into all the world to all nations and to all peoples. In the first the twelve were instructed to preach “The kingdom of heaven is at hand.” In the latter the eleven are instructed to “go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit teaching them to observe all things I have commanded you . . . ”.
Is Killing The Messenger What God Would Have Us Do?

tchable posted:

For some of us it seems stirring up a hornets nest is something we naturally do as if it is our calling, our purpose in this life. In less than a month I will have been on this site for seven years. Have you ever heard the saying: “The Proof is in the Pudding?” Anyone who has followed my writings over the years know I have flamed many heated rebuttals through messages I have written.During the last week of April of this year I published two blogs of this sort. Since publishing these messages some have resorted to calling me every name they can use without being thrown off the site for using them. A truth discerned from their attack is through observation even bornagain believers remain in their innate state. Check these two blogs out for yourself and come to your own conclusions: (1) Some Truths: The Kingdom and...
