The word says we are blessed so why can we not believe it It say we are bless when we come in and blessed when we go out Every thing we put our hands to, is blessed If you put hand to the right thing you will be bless with the right things But if to the wrong thing we will be bless with those things Is that why so many suffer lack For what ever you sow to you will reap And yet God promises that we...

These words are true and posses more life than you can ever find here on earth God's words to us through the writings of these blessed folk are all we'll ever need, not that we can achieve without the help of our spiritual leaders, but God is a personal God giving in to Him is the best thing and I'm pretty sure you'll hear his instructions on your life, His only wish is that we would prosper as our souls prosper. Psalms 112 is a promise it's a gift of hope knowing that your family is blessed and your house is blessed all for serving the Lord and loving His might to know that the world can't harm you and all...

do you easily remove your eyes from the blessed god?
Posted by:  godfascinates   (Posted: 05/11/08 10:36pm)
"At that time Mary got ready and hurried to a town in the hill country of Judea, where she entered Zechariah's home and greeted Elizabeth. When Elizabeth heard Mary's greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. In a loud voice she exclaimed: "Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the child you will bear!" (Luke 1:39-42.) When Jesus Christ was just in the womb of Mary, Elizabeth declared to Mary: "Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the child you will bear!" Notice very well what she said, "Blessed are you among women..." referring to Mary. Also, she said, "...and blessed is the child you will bear!" - referring to Jesus Christ. In her remark, she called not only Mary "blessed," but also Jesus. Yet, today, what do we hear? Have you ever heard, "Blessed Jesus"? Human beings have the tendency to remove their eyes on God. It's easy to exalt anyone or anything else other than God. But we read in God's Word that Paul called God "blessed" in 1 Timothy 1:11, "the glorious gospel of the BLESSED God." We also read in 1 Timothy 6:13-16: "In the sight...

taking a look at the gospel of "godly bliss"
Posted by:  blessings2you   (Posted: 05/08/08 5:39pm)
The transitioning of the Gospel from the spiritual to the physical and material has yielded a generation of pseudo-believers who seem to think the first time something goes wrong as a Christian the whole Bible falls apart. These people also seem to think that everything in heaven is for them on this earth. That the entire reason for their being is to be happy, wealthy and in perfect health all the time. I heard someone speak recently about how everything in their life was the definition of "Godly bliss". This person had not been sick in years, had more money than they knew how to spend, had more friends than their address book would hold names and they had a smile that never came off their face. They had four beautiful kids who all got straight A's in school and excelled in all they set out to do. Upon hearing this, I immediately thought I must be listening to a television or movie star. No one I have ever known has such a perfect life. Maybe some do that I don't know about, but what the person said next really bothered me. The person claimed that what they had and...

generation-x plague
Posted by:  bluewings   (Posted: 05/01/08 7:05am)
"Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me." Matthew 5: 10-11 When we first met after so many years of chatting online, my husband was going through intense life altering changes. His career field was changing, enabling him to see me for the first time only because his training center was 45 minutes from my home, and then he fell in love with me which then meant... marriage! Those two huge changes he has taken on so well, and as I do know my husband, he is a man of God who is always trying to live life morally, spiritually and peacefully. His new job is extremely exciting. When he first started he was all smiles and would come home and not shut up about all the exciting things they did that day. Excited for him, I tried to be a good wife and support him by helping him in different scenarios. As time grew and the novelty of the career wore off, I noticed a change in his demeanor towards...

my apology.
Posted by:  purealoha   (Posted: 04/30/08 2:51am)
to baby: baby, i'm so sorry. i had to make one of the toughest decisions of my life w/ you at the time, it seemed like i had no other choice i prayed & prayed that God would help me w/ my dilemma & i was ok w/ my decision for a while i kept a lot inside, not really thinking about you too much maybe if i didnt think about you, then the guilt wouldnt hurt so bad & then recently, it hit me; i took your opportunity for life away i played the role of God in determining whether or not you could live & i cant truly express how sorry i am for that baby, i've always tried to be a "no regrets, everything happens for a reason" kind of person but if there was one thing i could take back it would be taking you out of my life it would've been hard, no doubt but having you there w/ me would've made all the struggles worth it baby, know that i think about you each & every day i cry a lot too, thinking about what could've been would you have been a boy or...

thank you for your helpful comments
Posted by:  jogip   (Posted: 04/20/08 10:07am)
Your comments about my angel question were much appreciated! I will continue my study on this subject. The lesson at Church this morning was also helpful, It was "Back to the Basics". To boil it all down the message, to me at least, was it never hurts to go back to the beginning and remember the basics. To Love our Lord and stay the course. I will also continue to pray for wisdom and understanding. I find that a great and wonderful blessing. All we have to do is ask our Father to help us to understand what He wants us to learn and if we are faithful in our study He will. Praise God ! There is still much to learn especially when we get into the "meat" of the Word. I just can't say enough how blessed I feel each day. With everything I look at I see my Father. I have to smile and marvel at every baby I see. I know that the Father will have His angels to minister to us when we are in need, the blessing might not be what we are expecting, but we have limited vision. But I do know it...

just what is our blessed hope?
Posted by:  harvest   (Posted: 04/16/08 10:45am)
What exactly is our "Blessed Hope?" Within Christianity there are many understandings of exactly what is meant by this term, "Blessed Hope." In the epistle of Titus Paul describes it as the, "glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works." Many of us believe our "blessed hope" is that which is spoken of by Paul in 1 Thes 4:13-18. An event we refer to as the "Rapture." In these verses Paul assures us not one of the faithful, not even the ones who have passed, will miss this event. His words are: 1 Thessalonians 4:13 - 18 (NKJV) 13But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. 14For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. 15For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by...

blessings that will last generations!
Posted by:  reborn   (Posted: 04/16/08 7:06am)
I can't help but notice how Christian families as they continue down the family tree continue to be blessed in ways the first Christian family was not. My point is based on a personal discovery I have made with Christian families, I can't help but notice how the first ever Christian family be it single parent or mother and father if faithful in the faith having children. As their children grow up and progress toward marrying and making families of there own. They are usually more blessed than there first parents. Blessings range from finances, Education, even a better richer Christian walk with more depth. I find this truly surprising and thought I would pass on some good news and encouragement to those struggling parents out there that they are leaving there children something more than money can ever give them. Because they chose to follow the Lord in faithfulness and are teaching there children to be in like mind they are giving there children a great legacy that if future generations follow it and practice it and obey it. There families' generation after generation will be richly blessed. I am sure there is some scripture to prove this but...

naomi the most wonderful
Posted by:  mistletoe   (Posted: 04/15/08 10:14am)
Today was another shot day for Naomi the most wonderful. We jumped in the car and jaunted down to the vet. With everything weighing down on my head, I turned on the radio to my favorite Christian music. It cheered me up. I love spring and my mind wandered to stewardship. Being a good steward or a bad steward. God gave me so many wonderful things, I really am blessed. I'm really stressed out and a bit off kilter right now too. However, I am truly blessed. One of the things God has blessed me with so kindly is Naomi. The wonderful, the best, the most special Naomi. I had to struggle to find the five dollars for her shot. Friday I will be pulling my penny's together to find another five for her shot again. After that it goes to once a week. I'm so glad about this. Naomi, my German Shepherd Dog, is my best friend in all the world. I know a lot of people would say she is just a dog. Even my family can not believe how much I am willing to give her. Some joke and say I should have had another child. I'm...

what do these numbers mean to you?
Posted by:  literalword   (Posted: 04/14/08 10:26am)
We are a blessed generation. The most blessed generation who have ever lived on earth only because of the day we are living in. Since time began men have wondered about how things are going to come about which will fulfill the Word of God. Before your eyes and mine eyes, minute by minute, we see these events happening via television and we read about them happening through various news sources. We see in a systematic pattern everything which has been prophesied by the prophets of old concerning the end of days falling in place, the pattern coming closer and closer to completeness. From all around the world God's people Israel are being gathered and brought back to the land God gave to their fathers. In this generation which lives today we see Israel return to the map as a sovereign nation. In this generation which lives today we have seen Jerusalem, the city of Zion returned to its rightful owners. This moment in which you are reading this message mighty and powerful men of the world are gathering making deals and promises to bring peace to the middle east. This peace plan includes the division of Jerusalem. In the...

the first battleground
Posted by:  byggfaith   (Posted: 04/03/08 9:01pm)
The first and biggest battleground that most people face today is believing that God loves you. For some of us, we get glimpses of that love, but we quickly get overwhelmed by the idea that we have failed Him and we no longer deserve His love. But, let's start by making sure we define His love. My first understanding of that love, came when the Lord first called me. I had been crying out, "Lord, if you are real, please show yourself to me." When the Lord did touch me, I became very emotional. In order to stop the tears, I said, "What is the worst thing that can happen here?" The answer was that I would never again feel the kind of unconditional acceptance that I experienced in that moment. God's love is first unconditional. The Word says, "while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us". Religion starts to tack on conditions and the one who is known as the "accuser of the bretheren" gladly reminds us when anyone (including ourselves) falls short of the glory of God. The second characteristic of God's love is that it is perfect. We cannot compare it to human love. The love...

want to be blessed? a study of the beatitudes
Posted by:  blessings2you   (Posted: 02/29/08 4:23am)
Near the beginning of Jesus' ministry, he saw a multitude and proceeded to go up on a mountain and sat down. After his disciples came to him, he opened his mouth and taught them one of the most remarkable teachings ever recorded anywhere in the Bible. In what has been called "the sermon on the mount", Jesus lays out pretty much everything there was to say about the new way of thinking and living he taught known as love. The first thing Jesus taught was what has been labeled "the Beatitudes". Jesus teaches the people how to be blessed. In Matthew 5:3-12 Jesus makes a statement regarding who is blessed and then he pronounces the blessing they will receive. "Blessed are the poor in spirit; for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." This is referring to those who are deeply aware of their "spiritual poverty" and their absolute and complete dependence on God. In Isaiah 57:15 it states: "For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: ‘I dwell in the high and holy place with him who has a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble and to revive...

god loves the unlovely
Posted by:  hopeforamerica   (Posted: 02/21/08 10:33am)
She sat in the dimly lighted room in the middle of her rumpled bed, with pillows strewn in a corner. Her glances at the darkened doorway revealed the fear that was gripping her soul. Then her eyes darted toward the windows while she simultaneously breathed a sigh of relief. "Whew. I did shut those blinds!" And even though her body was still, she felt the devil's steady clip was so close behind her that she was impelled to stop. There was nowhere else to go. She glanced down at her fingers that were intertwined on her lap and raised them to her lips. "Help," she emitted gently. "God? Jesus?" This was a first for her. "Jesus? I'm scared. I cannot go on like this. If there's a God, then show yourself. I'm tired of being afraid. I'm tired dancing between the raindrops. Help me!" As she waited for an answer the tears began to stream down her cheeks, and her body convulsed as she sobbed. She raised her palms toward the ceiling and cried, "The devil has me God. I can't live this way anymore! I've had you on the back burner long enough! I know you want me and...

blessings and woes
Posted by:  tbdenis   (Posted: 02/13/08 8:37am)
Discipleship Described. Jesus was followed by a large crowd who had come to hear him and to be healed of their diseases. The people were eager to touch him.. But when Jesus began to teach what we now know as "Beatitudes", many must have been puzzled and confused. Blessings and Woes (Luke 6:20-38) The words spoken by Jesus seem hard to understand when one first reads them: "Blessed are you who are poor. Blessed are you who hunger now. Blessed are you who weep now. Blessed are you when men hate you." But he also declares, "Woe to you who are rich. Woe to you who are well-fed now. Woe to you who laugh now.Woe too when all men speak well of you." The words seem sarcastic, because they seem to be contradictory to natural thinking. Yet one who seeks Jesus with all humility and desire for forgiveness will sooner or later f ind the key to open what seems to be a mystery. Jesus was trying to compare two sets of conditions or circumstances here. First, those who live in turmoil in this world, and second, those who live in peace in the Kingdom of God. Those who follow...

there are many good people in this world
Posted by:  aggiechristianwife   (Posted: 01/15/08 9:43pm)
I must say that I have just started this blogging thing, so please bare with me. I have only been on ChristianBlog.com for a few days now, but I have to say that every single person I have come across has been wonderful, understanding, sympathetic -- basically the definition of a Christian. My parents always used to tell me that you mold to the people you are around - your friends, people you talk to - so if one of your friends is always in a bad mood it seems to bring you down when you are around them. I truly understand what my parents were talking about when I log on to this site. With everyone speaking the Lord's name and confessing to how blessed they are, it effects me in a great way. It makes me sit and think of all the things I have to be thankful for - and for those who submit prayer requests - I look at some of the things they are going through and see how fortunate I am and how I need to thank God every single day for what he has blessed me with, because he is a very giving...

blessing for dec. 25th
Posted by:  jeremiah7   (Posted: 12/24/07 11:07pm)
Genesis 27:19, 22-29 Jacob said to his father, "I am Esau your firstborn. I have done as you told me. Please sit up and eat some of my game so that you may give me your blessing." Jacob went close to his father Isaac, who touched him and said, "The voice is the voice of Jacob, but the hands are the hands of Esau." He did not recognize him, for his hands were hairy like those of his brother Esau; so he blessed him. "Are you really my son Esau?" he asked. "I am," he replied. Then he said, "My son, bring me some of your game to eat, so that I may give you my blessing." Jacob brought it to him and he ate; and he brought some wine and he drank. Then his father Isaac said to him, "Come here, my son, and kiss me." So he went to him and kissed him. When Isaac caught the smell of his clothes, he blessed him and said, "Ah, the smell of my son is like the smell of a field that the LORD has blessed. May God give you of heaven's dew and of earth's richness-- an abundance of...

learning new things.
Posted by:  minister4deafandhoh   (Posted: 12/21/07 6:18pm)
Everyday I learn new things. It can be about parenthood, about God's Word, marriage, the world, or just me. It took me a long time to realized that God has something special for me to do. When I was growing up, I was always been teased, bullied at, and been treated like dirt. I have always thought that they mistreated me because I am disabled but today i thought, "Didn't Jesus said that the world will hate us because of HIm?" I soon realized that They are not hurting me because I am "disabled" but because they know I have CHRIST IN MY HEART. It's funny how I can learn about my depressing past and turn it into something that I can teach others with Christ in a positive way. God is good and He has always blessed us with Love and Grace, not money and things. Every time I read the Word of God, He shows me new things every time! It's the Holy Spirit speaking to my heart and I know I don't need to hear, I just need to open my heart to God and Let the Holy Spirit live in my heart. Jesus is truely the...

praising the lord for his faithfulness
Posted by:  hisway   (Posted: 12/15/07 6:58am)
I just want to Thank & Praise Jesus, We opened our online school of Ministry two years ago and we have just graduated our first students from the 2 year degree program. It is hard to believe it has been two years already, and how the Lord has been Faithful. Many ups and downs with the Computer access for the students (Had to send many the written courses), yet we maintained a 98% completion rate of the students who enrolled. We set out to train disciples to be equipped for Christian service and though we have had but a few students here in the United States (4), we have been blessed with students from the Philippines(120) and India (46). And we have been able to due so freely not charging them anything for the schooling. Our intention was not to be a free school, yet at the same time realizing the financial difficulties in some other Countries we refuse to deny anyone because they do not have the money. We look more towards the desire to study to show themselves approved, and their desire to fulfill to Great Commission where they live. We are blessed to be able to look...

grace taught versus the world view
Posted by:  savedbyegrace   (Posted: 10/29/07 7:21am)
I wanted to share what I heard at Bible study last week as we are this week studying the Sermon on the Mount. This is absolutely not my work, but I enjoyed hearing it so much that I did want to share with you all. Not to mention how convicting it was to realize how close some of the world views come to my attitude. Jesus says: Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. But the world says: Blessed are those who have all the answers, for they will be confident and in control. Jesus says: Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. But the world says: Blessed be those who ignore their losses, for they will never feel pain. Jesus says: Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. But the world says: Blessed be the proud, for they will get what they deserve. Jesus says: Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. But the world says: Blessed are those who don't care what God wants, for they will get what they want out of life. Jesus says: Blessed are the...

it's amazing what you can find in the bible

GENERATIONS FROM ADAM TO NOAH AND THEIR HEBREW MEANING Adam - Man Seth - Appointed Enos - Mortal Cainan - Sorrow Mahalaleel - The Blessed God Jared - Shall Come Down Enoch - Preaching Methuselah - His Death Shall Bring Lamech - The Despairing Noah - Rest Man (is) appointed mortal sorrow, (but) the blessed God shall come down preaching (that) his death shall bring the despairing rest. If you are willing to study God's word and spend some time doing research this is just one of the many amazing treasures that God has hidden for us in His word. As a closing thought consider contagious christianity. If we allow God to inhabit our every pore and inspire us as only God can, we will infect others naturally. We will also seek ways to infect others by choice. If each and every saved person infected two others, the results would be unbelievable. Wishing everyone a truly safe, happy and blessed holiday weekend....

Today has been a day for me. I am just tired I have no energy and joy. I haven't been this way in a while. I feel like my trust is being testing and my spirit is down ... and I forget to do the most important thing... pray. I need to Praise my God through it all. Blessed be HIS name through it all. Through all the trouble and the suffering. It's not like I have lost anything. I have a lot to praise God for. Even through all of this God is still God. God is still Holy. God is still the most awesome amazing thing that ever happened to me. Blessed be Your name through the land land marked with suffering , though there is pain in the offering...though I walk through the wilderness... I am going to say... Blessed be the name of the Lord...blessed be your name....

an outreach ministry i have been blessed with
Posted by:  gentlegiant54   (Posted: 08/23/07 12:52pm)
I am truly thankful that the church I am attending has blessed me with the opportunity to start an outreach ministry encompassing maybe the most controversial issue today and has been since the most infamous day in American history and that is when Roe vs. Wade made killing the unborn legal. The outreach ministry called Operation Inspiration is a multi-faceted outreach and it offers something for all in the congregation to get involved in this war against abortion and the harms it can do to one physically, emotionally and most of all spiritually. But the primary focus is the teens and promote abstinence through the scripture and the evils of abortion and the harm it does to one. I find this to be a very definite blessing and it will bring me an opportunity to share what I have been blessed with and that is a peace knowing that god will forgive, even thoughts who have taken part in the abortion industry. With this I hope to use this outreach to educate, comfort and place a due concern on those that are co0mplacent about this issue....

intimacy and desire
Posted by:  ashleyngeorgia   (Posted: 08/16/07 5:38pm)
The other day I was talking to a friend of mine about how difficult it is for me to be single. I want Jesus to be enough; I want Him to be my everything. That is much easier said than lived out each day. I know that God has told me, "Ashley, it's time for you and Me to have a meaningful relationship. I already know you more than you know yourself. I knit you together in your mother's womb...you can't get much more intimate than that My child." When I read the words found in Psalm 45:11 that say, "The king is enthralled by your beauty; honor him for he is your Lord," I can't help but smile. Isn't that exactly what I long for?
