I never really considered the fact that God counts all of my footsteps.

Dec. 25 2011 Today I picked up a young man hitchiking. It being Christmas day my wife Alba and I had been praying about touching a strangers life with Christ love. So after the opening of presents and breakfast we went for a ride to see if there might be anyone out and about that seemed alone and in need. We thought maybe to pay for a meal or a night at a nearby hotel. We drove all around town, to all the local parks, side roads, anyplace we could think of where homeless or lost lonly people might hang out. We completly struck out. But there he was with his thumb out right before the turnoff to our home.Well there was God shouting at us, YES , I heard your prayer. He was limping, this young man, and the hurt was not just his leg but his whle contanance. he hopped into our car kindof onelegged like and stared mutely off avoiding eye contact. "Thanks for stopping, he said looking away. We drove on a ways and I was praying for an opening, some way to speak life into the situacion. "Just drop me off in the town up the road, he blurted out. Whats your name ? I said, hoping to start a conversation. " Christian ! Interesting I thought. Are you a Christian? Nope!! short and curt was his response. I asked him why not. Ive got my reasons, he said. I did share with him a bit of my youthfull confusion and how the lord had touched and changed my life. This really didnt go over too well, so the only thing left to do was to leave this kid off in the lonly city park where he asked us to. Then I realized that though God had answered our prayers to at least touch someones life. This whole experience was a personal word from the Lord. This mans name was Christian, he was limping and he was angry, it seemed at God. In this itty bitty minute God was speaking to me personally about my life and most likely about the lives of many believers. Too many christians are wounded and mad at God, and though they may continue going to church theyve lost hope and checked out on faith. I have been praying for revival since my conversion, but I dont believe it will happen untill the healing tears of forgiveness begin spreading through the body. The walls of hurt, anger , and blame can only be broken as we ask forgivness and forgive. Thats what this message was to me. This wounded body must be healed if we are to see real revival and it starts with forgiveness, to God ourselves and others.
