Ive been reading the Bible and trying not to just read through it but understand it. Many times in life I have just gone through the motions, but this time I am actually going to slow down and try to get something out of it. I watch T.D. Jakes, Joel Osten, Joyce Meyer and Joni for motivation to get me through. Ive never really been one to watch tv evangelists but I have found out that they encourage me and I dont feel like Im alone in my struggle.I admire evangelist/preachers who can recite scripture (book, chapter and verse) by heart. I wish that I was like that. I try to just get the book and if I get that right then I can find the skim through the pages and find the verse that Im looking for. I have found that when you are talking to people you about God/Jesus you need to be prepared to show them where in the Bible it says this or that. I enjoy talking to people (not argueing) about what the Bible says. I dont feel like a know it all but within Christianity we have so many denominations. I always wonder why other Christians practice certain things and some dont. I attend church whenever I can and that helps alot too.
