There are many false prophets and blind leaders today.
Matt 7:15-20 - Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheeps clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them. NIV
If any person openly admits they are still sinning against the Lord, or they are hypocrites to the truth they preach, then they are blind to God and you should not listen to their words. For instance if someone says they love the Lord, but does not obey all of Christs Truth, then they are hypocrites and false leaders.
John 14:15 - If you love me, you will obey what I command. NIV (there are no exceptions to this truth)
If anyone says they love God, but they still disobey Gods commands, then they are a liar and still influenced greatly by evil deceptions. These people are still blind to Gods Truth. They are still spiritually blind and they will lead you into even more blindness. They will lead you away from God, not closer. If they are trying to teach you, but are still sinning themselves, then dont be fooled, they are false teachers.
Luke 6:46-49 - Why do you call me, Lord, Lord, and do not do what I say? I will show you what he is like who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice. He is like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete." NIV
Many people on the last day will say "Lord, Lord" to Jesus Christ, but if they still had any of the sinful nature controlling them when Christ return for them, they will be cast away from God eternally, because they never really became sons of God. These false prophets have fooled themselves with their own lies, but dont be taken in by their deceptions. Run away from them as fast as you can.
Matt 7:21-23 - Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles? Then I will tell them plainly, I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers! NIV
These false teachers believe they will sit down at the great feast in heaven, but they will be thrown out into the darkness of hell where there is no light of God, no goodness of God, and will suffer weeping and gnashing of teeth, forever and ever. Dont follow these false teachers into hell!
Matt 8:11-12 - I say to you that many will come from the east and the west, and will take their places at the feast with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. But the subjects of the kingdom will be thrown outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth." NIV
There is a way to distinguish between the children of God and the children of the devil. The people that are only doing the righteous things of God are the children of God. The ones that are doing any unrighteous things are the children of the devil.
1 John 3:10 - This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother. NIV
Dont be fooled into thinking a person is of God if they seem to have "some" good or "some" love of God. If there is any evil works (fruit) coming from them at all, they are still considered under the control of the devils nature and cannot be trusted. When a person is really a son of God, they will have only good godly works (fruit).

Dont let these false teachers become your mentors in anyway. They are still being deceived and will also deceive you. If they tell you they are still sinning or you see any bad fruit coming from them, please dont listen to their words. They will end up taking you with them to hell. They will be convinced they are helping you, but they will only help you stay in bondage to all kinds of sin.
