Do you ever feel like God isnt listening? Have you considered stomping your feet to see if that works? Hmmm, probably not going to get you anywhere. So what are you to do? [blockquote] I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. [/blockquote] Why does the psalmist lift up his eyes unto the hills? Perhaps it is because God met His people there. He called them from the place where they stood to come up , where He would meet with them. We too need to come up to where He is, the place where He will meet with us. For example, you need wisdom. The place that you must come up to is heavenly ground where Jesus sits . . . Jesus has been made unto us wisdom. When we take our position in Christ, we have come to heavenly ground and God can respond. When Jesus appeared to the disciples after his resurrection, Thomas was not present. Thomas refused to believe unless he first put his fingers in the actual wounds and proved for himself it was Jesus. Jesus did not go out to find Thomas. God is not going to meet us on any ground but the ground He has provided us in Christ. [blockquote]He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock ... [/blockquote] He has indeed taken us from the miry pit and planted our feet on solid ground that ground is in Christ! The next time you find yourself wanting to yell and fuss - Do you hear me -- stomp stomp I need help , try this instead. Search out what God has given you in Christ and then make your request known as you stand on that ground. Remember, the spiritual realm is much like a court of law. Lawyers in our courts make their case based on legal precedence, or legal ground. We too come to a higher authority on the legal ground we have in Christ! Be confident that your help indeed comes from the Lord! Ps 121:1 [ii] Exodus 19 [iii] 1 Cor. 1:30 [iv] Psalm 40:2 KJV Photo: imoko by airmaster
