Well the Bible tells us In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God
So the Bible is not just a book, it is God. So ask yourself. If I m trying to find God am I looking for him in the right places? Am I surrounding myself with Him? You need to seek Him, look for Him. Surround yourself with material that helps you find Him.
Yes, It will be difficult to find Him at first. You will have to adjust the aerial. And sometimes it will be a bit snowy. You will doubt as to whether it is God you re hearing or not. Stick with it though. You will end up with HD. Hear GOD in everything and everywhere in surround sound. So what do I do if I m not sure whether what I hear is from God? Well you ask yourself Does it line up with the word of God? (If you are too lazy to pick up your Bible then God made it easy for you. You can Google it.)
We are watching two channels, both of them offering entertainment. Yet one of them will steal from you, steal your money, steal your life, steal your family, steal your job, steal your joy. It will kill you, maybe not physically, but spiritually. And it will destroy you. It will destroy you, and your family, and everyone you love and hold dear. That is the devils plan. The other will give you life, peace, joy, abundance, overflow. You decide. So when you re watching a channel in your life, and it s not bringing peace into your life, it s not bringing joy to your life, it s not adding abundance to your life but instead taking away then you better change that channel. Get in line with God, get in line with His word, get in line with His plans. God would not ask you to give up something if it s not good for you, not His plan for your life, or He has something better in store for you. What we want may not always be in line with what He wants. My mother always said: Sometimes you have to be less to be more Sometimes God asks us to give up our dreams and get in line with His.
Sometimes we ll be in a group and someone would say: Do you remember when this was on tv? and everyone would get all excited and talk about it and how they pretended to be those characters. And there would always be at least one guy who don t know what we are talking about. And this is maybe because when that program was on they were watching a different channel. So what we watched shaped who we became. The thing is God and the devil works in a much similar way. They both send out a signal. And you are the television receiving that signal. And they are both trying to get you, the television, to broadcast their signal. In a sense they are both trying to get you to Tel-A-Vision! You can only watch either one of two channels, whether you want to believe it or not. The easiest way to find out whether you re watching the right channel is to check whether the decisions are causing strife in your life. If it does, it s not from God.
God wants us to have heaven on earth are you willing to trust Him? Judging the alternative, is it really that tough of a decision to make? And when you ve tuned into that perfect channel start broadcasting.
