My beloved, now we are the sons of God, and as yet it has not been revealed what we shall be; but we know that when He shall appear, we shall be in his likeness; for we shall see him as he is. (Peshitta)- 1 John 3:2
I think the amazing power of this verse has to do with being a child of God and how we as children of God are Christ-like. When we go from being the old man to the new man in Christ, we become that Christ-likeness that this verse speaks of.
When it says "we shall see Him as He is" I tend to think that this is talking about how we have the scabs over our eyes removed when we become a child of God, and thus are able to see God in the true way that mankind was created to see their Creator.
Overall this just seems to be one of those Verses that too many of us skim right over without really stopping and meditating on how it can apply to our lives and what it really means to be a child of God.
Key words there I treasure are "now we are", and "we shall be". This daily verse and a blog about it is great John. God Bless Brother.
