Slipping and sliding

So this morning bout 7.30am I was going out the road with bouncer (my dog) as I do every morning. Couldn't get over how cold it was this morning but I thought to myself least there's no frost. So walked down the drive and was walking along our wee road when suddenly I started to slide because in actual fact it had been freezing. So there I was slipping and sliding down the road scared of falling and with nothing that I could hold on to.

But it got me thinking about the time's in our own lives when we start to slip and slid in our Christian walk that we have a heavenly father who will hold us up and will not let us fall. He is faithful. When any of God's children fall he will pick them. He will never forsake us and he will hold us with his mighty right hand. He knows what we need, he knows our pain and he knows what we are going through. We have to commit ourselves to live by his word, trust and stand firm on the promises of God and know that no matter what situations we find ourselves in that he will help us and with him we will overcome everything that the enemy throws in our path.

Psalm 37:23-24

The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand.

Psalm 63:7-8

For you have been my help, and in the shadow of your wings i will sing for joy. My soul clings to you, your right hand upholds me.

So jus remember when you think that you are falling our heavenly father will never let us fall as he is always holding our hand x

Amen . Xx

I live in an area of the US that is renowned for having brutally cold winters so I am well-acquainted with slipping and sliding. As I read your blog, I recalled two accidents I was in which involved black ice. Once, as I lay on the icy-covered road which was like glass with an out-of-control vehicle headed straight for me, someone grabbed my arms and I was suddenly pulled underneath my own crushed vehicle and safely deposited in a snow bank some distance away. The thing is, according to the police officers already on the scene and the witnesses, there was no one near me at the time. They had all run to safety in the opposite and turned only to realize they were about to witness a woman being crushed. You can imagine what happened when the little crowd, frantically looking for me, heard my voice from some distance away and saw me stand up and walk towards them! Do I believe I experienced a miracle that day? Absolutely! I know exactly what I saw and what I felt that day. We may slip and slide but the Lord is our Helper... and our Deliverer.
