Closet Christian or bold and faithful believer?

When a believer takes a stand for God in their personal life, is devoted to teaching and ministering to God's people and passionately reaches out with the love of God; they become a threat to the adversary and make it on his “hit list” . The idea of being a “marked” believer scares most Christians into inaction, compromise or apostasy. When the mere threat of attack intimidates God's people; it is a sad day in the Kingdom of God.

The overwhelming majority of Christians are pacifists when it comes to spiritual matters. They do not want to become religious zealots nor do they want to gain the distinction of being a “Jesus person” or a fanatic for Christ. Most Christians do not want to do anything that either disrupts their perfect little life or jeopardizes their plans in life. Showing up at church a few times a year is acceptable to these pathetic Ambassadors for Christ. Anything more than this is unacceptable because the risk is too great of becoming labeled as a Christian. What is so wrong with having that label in this life?

Closet Christians pose no threat to the enemy so he does not bother them, afflict them, tempt them or attack them. Those who are more concerned about keeping their faith a secret than living or sharing it are laughed at by the devil. From God's point of view, these “lukewarm” believers are disgusting and He spews them out of His mouth. Clearly, those Christians who do not want to offend anyone or become a target of the adversary end up disguising their faith and rejecting most of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

What I am writing is NOT for those who are ashamed of being a Christian or afraid to let others know of their faith. Unfortunately, there are countless buildings a person can hide out in a few Sunday's per year which specialize in catering to closet Christianity. I have nothing to say to those who for all practical purposes reject the Gospel of Christ other than I will pray for you that one day you will rise above your fears and walk in the glorious freedom of the newness of life which is in Christ Jesus.

For those of us who are not afraid to let others know of our faith in Christ and love for God; we must understand how much this infuriates the enemy which in turn launches a period of observation which ultimately allows him the opportunity to attack us with a high degree of success. For many reasons God has said repeatedly in His Word - Be Not Afraid. Fear is the single greatest agent the enemy uses to distract, disturb and destroy Christian's lives and ministries. It can be said that fear does indeed defeat the promises of God in our lives.

In Africa, the Middle East and Southeast Asia, Christians are being hunted down as animals and slaughtered if they refuse to renounce their faith. For these people, Christianity is not a hobby but rather a matter of life and death. Of all the people in the world today, the ones who hold my highest esteem are the martyrs who give their lives instead of compromising their faith to draw breath another day. The Book of Revelation certainly tells us how important the martyrs are to Christ and the elevated position they have in heaven. Those who are martyred for their Christian faith show us just how deep the hatred of the devil is for true believers in Jesus Christ.

Are you ready to climb out of the closet and let the whole world know you believe in and are devoted to Jesus Christ? Are you ready to joyfully put the bull's eye on your back as a marked man or woman; despised and hated by the devil and scorned by both unbelievers and closet Christians alike? If you make the decision to use this life to serve our Lord Jesus, it must be done with the understanding that the adversary will do everything he can to trip you up, cause you to fail and stomp on your head if and when you do.

The question we must all ask ourselves is how strong our faith is and are we willing to forfeit this life to please Him who has called us to live and speak the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I devote the upcoming blogs to those who have committed themselves to being found faithful to Christ, no matter what the cost. For you, I will open my heart and share my personal story (as much as God allows) and share everything I know about spiritual warfare, personal sacrifice and eternal rewards. I believe this is what God has called me to do in these last days and who am I to reject what God has spoken to me.

Great well done !

You know that the lord has said that if your ashamed of Me and deny me I shall deny you before the father.

Luke 9:26(KJV)
For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels.

Thanks for reminded us that we should not hide ~~~
Matthew 5:-16(KJV)
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Be forever blessed

One of my daily prayers, is that, if the bulls eye were painted on me, please give me the strength to stand and be martyred. Please, give me that strength.

Jesus said that we needed to take up our cross and follow Him. That does not sound like a walk in the park. We cannot earn salvation but there is a price to pay if we follow Christ. To follow Him requires sacrifice and sometimes that sacrifice can be our dreams and ambitions, family, position and even our lives.

Blessings!
