[blockquote]Therefore, whosoever heareth these sayings of Mine and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, who built his house upon a rock. 25 And the rain descended and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat upon that house; and it fell not, for it was founded upon a rock. 26 And every one that heareth these sayings of Mine and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand; 27 and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell, and great was the fall of it[/blockquote] Matthew 7:24-27
A house built upon the shifting sand of man’s doctrine will surely fall when the storms of life arise. Only a house built upon the hearing and doing of the Word of God will stand. Since Jesus Christ is the Word of God incarnate, we must build our lives upon Him and no one else.
[blockquote]“For no man can lay another foundation than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if any man build upon this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble, 13 every man’s work shall be made manifest; for the Day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire, and the fire shall test every man’s work of what sort it is. 14 If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereon, he shall receive a reward. 15 If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss; but he himself shall be saved, yet so as fire.”[/blockquote] 1 Corinthians 3:10-15
The one true foundation is, was and always will be Jesus Christ. If we want eternal rewards for what we do in this life, we must build our lives upon the firm foundation of Jesus Christ. A life’s work built upon anything or anyone other than Jesus Christ will be destroyed when the Lord Jesus returns.
To endure the storms of this life and have confidence that we will receive eternal rewards for what we do in and with this life, we must build our lives upon the firm foundation of Jesus Christ. As tempting as it is to have a nice home on the beach, that home will ultimately be blown away by the storms that arise in this life. As tempting as it is to build upon the riches of this world, those riches will never stand when exposed to the fire of God.
Jesus is our firm foundation and if we build upon Him, we are building upon the author and finisher of our salvation. Then, when the storms howl we will be safe and secure for we will be protected by the rock of all ages. A life built upon the foundation of Jesus will be rewarded both now and eternally.

Congrats on your 1600th Blog brother
You are a real blessing ! Thank You
He will never, will never forsake! I am so thankful for our firm foundation, Jesus Christ. Regardless of what we may face in this world, even if our "world" is torn to bits, upon the Solid Rock we can stand. The storms may blow but they are powerless to destroy us when we cling to Him.
I'd also like to congratulate you on your 1,600th blog, B2Y. Your blogs have been a blessing to me!
"Then, when the storms howl we will be safe and secure for we will be protected by the rock of all ages. "
No matter how bad the storm is Jesus is our foundation, our comforter and out rock.

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness...Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.2 Tim 2:15,16,19
The much activity atop the foundation of every believer will be subject to the bema fire of testing...but the foundation stands sure
