what discourages most folks in their efforts to be free from a life of sin is their belief that they have gone too far. so many people in today's world believe that they have crossed over some magical line that keeps them from the salvation of our great Savior. for in all of our lives there comes a time of doubt, pain, and discouragement, where we wish for that one gracious moment when the gift of forgiveness is offered. yet echoing through our brain is the thought of the commitment that we have made to our inner self to deny the forgiveness. we begin to think that giving into forgiveness is a betrayal to the person we have become. Romans 5: 17 For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God's abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ! in our despair the need to cry for help and understanding of how and why we have become what we are, lingers in our head. yet our natural instinct is to believe that we have passed through a gate that prohibits us from returning to a place that we can feel comfortable receiving forgiveness for the wicked that we cling to. many choose to hold onto to their sins as a self righteous last stand of defiance that hardens their heart and returns them to their vomit. as if they have gone further than any other in their sinfulness. obviously this thought that drives the sin deeper into our being tries to hide the truth that some of us call the good news. this is the reason Jesus sends us out as sheep among wolves. we walk among those whom we love, trying to encourage them to accept this great offering as so many others ridicule us and paint us as mindless trolls. the world wants you to believe that not only have you gone too far to receive forgiveness but forgiveness is not even needed. the world now wants you to believe that your sins define you and those opposed to them are foolish and mindless bigots whose judging you for your sins. when the truth is there is only one judge, the Savior that's allowing you to receive forgiveness for them. i have struggles just the same as any, yet through my understandings God has given me comfort knowing that because of His sacrifice I'm forgiven for all my sins through faith and repentance by the Grace of God. knowing this has freed me from the fear of death and the chaos that surrounds me. my concern is no longer how others perceive me through their wicked eye, my only concern is how they can see me in their heart. if their outward hate for me can be overcome by the love that's in me, then perhaps the world will lose another and forgiveness can be received. Praise God, be a blessing, bubba
