this is the verdict

it's hard to describe, this envelope of love that delivers a soul that has been overwhelmed by the Holy Spirit. I think it was about 2 months after our local home schooled church had advanced to the size that warranted a larger gathering place that my wife was standing in the middle of this YMCA basketball court watching as many of us were setting up for a much appreciated sermon from the pastor of our newly formed church. as I turned back to look at her I was surprised to see that tears were rolling down her face like a faucet had been opened up. no crinkled face jesters and no hand rubbing, just a glazed look on her face and water gushing. I had experienced that look before, so when I motioned to her, the look on her face instantly told me what had happened. the Spirit of God had over taken her. i'm not going to try and explain it to you, if you've had it happened to you then you understand, if not you won't understand, it's as simple as that. in writing these messages I have found that many times my thoughts kinda gush into my brain like those tears running down my wife's face. thoughts and truths pour out words like raindrops and scripture roll like thunder as I type the lessons from life that our Lord has set aside for me. 1 John 2: 1 My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. for me it all comes down to this one scripture. to understand Grace is to understand a man willing to allow the most brutal beating upon Himself, and while in the midst of it He is in a prayer for forgiveness for those beating Him. a man who claimed to be the Son of God only because He didn't want to boast that His flesh actually held within it the Spirit of God. God in man had actually given up His place on high to reconcile the sins that we, mankind, couldn't shed. and those who were suppose to tell the world who He was killed Him because His presence meant their services were no longer required. they killed Him knowing who He was and then lied about it, and have been doing so every since. in reading through Job there's a scripture that details how Job always sends down a sacrifice to be offered as a sin offering for his children everyday just incase they have sinned the night before. the jews used to have daily sacrifices to cover their daily sins so they could be sparred the trauma that sinning caused upon their conscience. after years of diluting their guilt the folks had hardened toward their sins either from not being able to pay for them with an offering, or by thinking that there was no sin to great that they couldn't buy their way out of. can I tell you something without upsetting you? the stench from all the offerings got so bad that sometimes the smell actually reached the heavens and offended God. our Lord was sickened by the gross over abundance of sin offerings. everyday all the folks would gather to offer up the animals for slaughter and then go and sin some more. those whose life's lessons had broke them and left them without an offer to give walked in shame knowing their life's would never be worthy. so our Lord became the sin offering, so know no one could be left out and no one could buy their way to salvation. did you know that there are still those who try and buy their way into heaven? did you know that there are those who still think they are not worthy enough to go to heaven? even in a world 2000 years older the mass population believes that Jesus was either not real or He was a liar. did you know that we Christians with hold our presence among those we call sinners because we are afraid what other Christian may think of us if they see us with them? we won't allow our children to go to public schools because we don't want our children socializing with the heathens. who are we? John 6: 29 Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.” God gave up His place on high and squeezed His Spirit inside the flesh of a man. He then walked among us, teaching us, and telling us everything we needed to know to live the kind of life that would keep us from the wicked schemes. so we could be sparred the dreadful existence that only evil could cause. He then allowed the wicked to beat Him to death and hang Him on a cross so the curse of death could be broken. afterwards He left here and went back to His place on high only to return the Spirit that lived inside Jesus to the earth as guidance. we have all been given the ability to know right from wrong. it's as clear as night and day inside our conscience. all of those who choose to do what is right choose to walk with God and live as He does, all of those who walk in darkness choose to do what evil wishes. the choice is left up to us. the message of Christ was so that everyone would know that there is forgiveness and an offering has been made to right the wrongs that we have done, there is no wrong to big and no deed to wicked that can take away that sacrifice. John 3: 19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God. wicked tries to mislead us to dwell in the darkness. it wants us to believe that either there is no God or that we are to wicked to deserve forgiveness or that we are to good to need it. either way he doesn't care. back in the days in which Jesus walked we had the pharisees, and sadducees thought they would be given a different kind of savior. one that would come and savage their enemies, yet Jesus came to save them as well. in their minds they lived according to the law, and all the others did not. however they lacked two things, a love for God and a love for their neighbor. because they had no love in their hearts for God or for their fellow men, they where walking in darkness because without love there can be no light. the light or knowledge brings truth and darkness or deceit tries to hide it. God gave us the light to separate us from the darkness. just because the darkness is the reason for the light does not make it the light bearer. at anytime during our life we can accept the truth. the sooner we do the better our life becomes for us. just like the wicked tries everything within its power to deceive us and lead us from the light God does everything to show us through the light His love for us. so here is the bottom line, you either believe God or you believe evil. it's the same choice Adam had and it's not an easy decision, either way you will be ridiculed. if you choose to believe God sooner or later you will have to lay down your life for Him. but he will take it up for you. He will raise you from certain death and restore your soul. if you choose to believe the other than you will surely die, and the hell that comes with it is where you will spend eternity. Praise God, be a blessing, bubba
