Feature Added: Off-Site Link Security Notice

Off-Site Link Security Notice

A few minutes ago we finished up work on a new security feature for ChristianBlog.Com which will display a friendly notification to you if you click on a website link that would take you to another website.

We have implemented this in order to provide a higher level of security notification to our members.

We realize that a lot of our members may not want to leave the ChristianBlog.Com website, and they may inadvertently click on a link that would take them to another website.

Our new off-site link security notification will help solve that from happening!

Take for instance this (screen shot) of a comment that was posted within an Open Discussion by the owner of ChristianBlog.Com:

As you can see there is a normal link to a website within the message he posted. But, the link points to a website that is not a web page here at ChristianBlog.Com!

So, if you were to click on the link you would be directed to a new website page that looks like this:

On this notification page you can see our warning/caution message to you that you clicked on a website link that is outside of the ChristianBlog.Com, and you can also see the website link itself. If you click the website link you will be directed to the off-site website.

Simple & Secure - That's How We Like Things!

Thank you,

Oh I like this idea. For I have a tendency to get lost once I am moved to another page.. must be hanging around alight too long.
