Every year there is a group of folks who get together and rate websites as "the best of the best"... and this year ChristianBlog.Com is entered to win within the "Best Religious Blog" category!
The "Weblog Awards" are the world's largest blog competition and they had over 500,000 votes cast in the 2007 edition! Sadly they had no "Best Religious Blog" category last year... so we want to make it ultra special for them this year, by letting them know that ChristianBlog.Com is THE BEST religious blog on the internet!
Nominations for The 2008 Weblog Awards are scheduled to begin in late Oct. 2008 with voting is scheduled to begin Dec. 1, 2008.
The public nomination period has been extended to Friday, November 21, 2008... and we need your help!!
Here's what we need everybody to do...
(1) Head over to:
That should take you to a post by "Doulos" that mentions ChristianBlog.Com.
At the bottom of this post by doulos you should see something like this:
"Doulos | November 19, 2008 11:52 PM | Reply | Score:"
With a little green-icon with a + sign... please CLICK the little green button!
(3) Next scroll down to the bottom of that page.
(4) Enter your name and email address.
(5) Where it says "URL" enter: http://www.christianblog.com/
(6) Where it says "Comments" type in why you love ChristianBlog.Com so much!! (important note: be sure to actually include "http://www.christianblog.com/" within your comments, so people know which website you are voting for!)
(7) Press the submit button!
(8) Come back here and post a reply to this blog letting us know you've done so, so we can keep track and encourage others to do so!
Everybody here knows that ChristianBlog.Com is THE BEST religious blog in the world... now lets make sure everybody else knows this too!
Weehoo, this sounds fun!!
Please do not forget to include the full URL of the CB website ( http://www.christianblog.com/ ) somewhere within your comments -- in addition to putting it into the URL section!!
It seems they want us to include the url within the comments... so please be sure to include: http://www.christianblog.com/
Thanks to everybody that does this!
Okay, I'm not quite sure if I did this right but...
I noticed although there were two comments the score was still zero while other sites had more. It looks like it only has to be actually nominated once and you only have to click if you agree with the nomination. When I clicked on Doulos' (since I agreed with everything he said and he said it so well :) ), the number of votes went up and I think that's what they're actually tallying as they said a site only needed to be nominated once.
Let me know if I'm wrong on this John.
Ah yeah, good catch kreynolds!
I guess what we all need to do is press the little green button below the post that doulos made (which, btw doulos, was a rocking review!)...
Glad it wasn't me that wrote the above 7 steps to follow :-p
John, I don't know how to go back and edit my nomination to include the url within the comment itself so I submitted a reply to my nomination that included it. Hope that's the best way to accomplish. I did vote both on mine and doulous's nominations. I did notice that if you click on the name of the submittor (?) nominating party, it will take you straight to the website. At least it did for my name and doulous's name.
Ok... I've added one... I think...
I have updated the instructions above to include pressing the little green button next to the post made by doules.
Please make sure you press the little green button to increase the vote count.
Pressing the little green button will make MrGreen a very happy smilie
Except, everyone can vote more than one time. So click on the green + next to the nomination by savedbyegrace, doulos, blessings2you, cowgirldiva, bimonics, natasha brown, youaregolden, sandra brooks, papabear . . . I think I found them all but am not sure, so scroll on down for familiar names and other nominations of Christianblog.com.
I mean, come on, we know this site is better than some of those other ones
