A few Service updates for March 2013.
First up is that we have redesigned our visitor home page. This change came about in order to better improve the design of the home page and to resolve issues associated with the automated selection of which blogs to display.
One very important aspect of this change that will effect all of our bloggers is that the very first requirement to help your own blogs get listed on the visitor home page is to add a blog photograph to your blogs - the second step when creating a new blog. We are specifically looking for blogs that have photographs that are at least 200 pixels in width. An easy way to accomplish this is to use this flickr search page to help in your search for photographs to use - just be sure to give the photographer due credit within the signature of your blog.
The second change of Services is that we have made major modifications to the IgnoreList feature to help resolve some of the issues we have received since the start of the year. The two big issues we have attempted to resolve are (1) the ability to view, or be shown, blog comments, and (2) attempt to resolve the issue of individuals signing out of the website to view content they were unable to see when signed into the website. There will never been an end-all solution to this second solution, unless bloggers specifically specify their blogs to only be viewable to their friends/contacts, but we have taken steps to prevent this sign-out-and-view issue many bloggers have reported.
The third change of Service is that we are now introducing to all Tier 1 bloggers and above a new feature we are calling "Purge Contacts That Have Not Signed Into The Website In A Long Time", which as the name indicates, allows you to purge your friends/contact list of individuals you have added/approved to your friends/contact list, yet have not signed into the website within the last ninety (90) days. By keeping your friendslist reduced to only those bloggers we are active bloggers, it can greatly increase the speed at which the website loads for you.
For Tier 1 and above bloggers we have the following announcements/posts you should review if you have not already done so:

Upcoming Service Updates:
We know that we have been rather quiet on our end since the first of the year.
This is a result of:
Our continued efforts to complete the transition to an All Paid Website
Our efforts in building a brand new, and massive, tool to help you easily manage your entire account from one simple to use interface - a feature we have to have finished within the next 30-45 days.
Final development and initial testing of a "blogging via email" feature which will allow you to publish blogs by sending us an email that contains your blog.
A mammoth sized endeavor to change the way that the website handles min/max characters and words, which we also hope to have ready to roll out by the end of this month.
Thank you to everybody who continues to support this ministry!
