As I was looking at "Holy Mountain" on which the Lord dwell.I thought - if I have to meet the Lord (who dwells on the mountain) I have to climb up, or the Lord has to come down. Neither of this is happening, I am still in the ground and He is in the mountain, but still how can I be with the Lord?
Psalm 15:1-5(This is one of the PsalmsI hold close to me heart)
Lord, who may dwell in your sacred tent?
Who may live on your holy mountain?
The one whose walk is blameless,
who does what is righteous,
who speaks the truth from their heart;
whose tongue utters no slander,
who does no wrong to a neighbor,
and casts no slur on others;
who despises a vile person
but honors those who fear the Lord;
who keeps an oath even when it hurts,
and does not change their mind;
who lends money to the poor without interest;
who does not accept a bribe against the innocent.
Whoever does these things
will never be shaken.
I know so well that I don't satisfy any of the criteria mentioned above, but still I hope to be in the Holy Mountain. I was asking the Lord, I am not doing anything that will ensure that I will satisfy the criteria mentioned above. But still I know how much I want to be on the Holy Mountain. I know there are many people who really strive hard to be Holy, and they do so many things to enter your Holy Mountain. I am sitting here, talking to you without doing anything. He showed me "Deepa, you are carrying your burdens and walking the way I told you to walk, that is the path and the only path to the Holy Mountain."
Wow.. I have no word toexplain thesatisfaction thatI was filledwith the assurance He gave me that I am walking the right way and climbing the Holy Mountain.
It is so very difficult to visualize, that we are living our life on the earth, but still when we believe in His words, we are still following Him in the Spiritual realm.
Luke 9:23 Then he said to them all: Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.
Matthew 19:28 Jesus said to them, Truly I tell you, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
John 8:12When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.
John 10:27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.
Though we are people livingacross the globe, carrying many burdens and pains and sufferings. But we are still walking in one direction, which is following the Jesus. Though physically it might look so different, and might look so diverse, one might be small, other might be big, but still we are all travelling the same path, which is to climb the Holy Mountain of the Lord to enter into the Holy of the Holies. As we move closer to it we leave our pains and move into His glory and His eternal and infinite love, Mercy and Grace.
