We travel Difficult paths in life a preparation for the Best.. like how gold is refined in the Hot furnace, so it becomes purified. Lord Jesus Christ allows difficult paths in our lives so that are ready for the Best thing that is coming up. Trusting in the Lord and crossing the desert of trials and tribulations helps us to see the land of Victory and belonging. When we pass through these difficulties we call on to the Lord and we feel His presence, more closely with us. God makes us leaders through these experiences.
Hebrews 12:7 Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father?
Malachi 3:1-4 I will send my messenger, who will prepare the way before me. Then suddenly the Lord you are seeking will come to his temple; the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, will come, says the Lord Almighty. But who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand when he appears? For he will be like a refiner's fire or a launderer's soap.He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; he will purify the Levites and refine them like gold and silver. Then the Lord will have men who will bring offerings in righteousness, and the offerings of Judah and Jerusalem will be acceptable to the Lord, as in days gone by, as in former years.
Difficulties make us stand apart from the other people,as we are taking the less travelled path (like how the Red sea divided for the Israelites to cross, andthe Jericho wall fell down). We are not crossing the difficulties with our strength, but with His Divine Presence and Love of the Cross and His Holy Spirit's guidance.
Matthew 3:11 I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
On the Cross the victory is already won, we need to look at the victory and keep marching towards it. The path is the same for all, but the difference is the way we cross the path of stones and the thorns without them hurting us. Hidden behind is the love of the Lord, who sends His angels to protect us and guide us. We believe in the victory won on the cross. We look at our Savior and walk over the water, we don't fear drowning.
1 Corinthians 15:57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
"We are not crossing the difficulties with our strength, but with His Divine Presence and Love of the Cross and His Holy Spirit's guidance."
Thank you, Deepa, for this wonderful blog and for the above quote. It's a quote I need to "remember" and have written it down in my daily journal.
