This is one of the Bible verses that helps me keep a close watch on my fear to the extent that it does not make me a Coward. The Cowards are treated the same asthe unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars.

In a way, Christian life is intertwined with Fear of God, and it triggers most of the corrective actions in our life.

Fear comesto us as both protection and a punishment.God should provide us the wisdom to know the difference between the fear that leads one to Heaven vs. the Coward that could potentially lead to Hell.

I think a good example of the cowardly, unbelieving, were those who left Egypt, yet later refuse to believe God, and go where they were told, and do what they were told to do. They feared, but it was not God they feared.
Jesus Christ told us very clearly to fear God. And God alone.
