His Promise - Never to let Go..

When I look at Jesus Christ on the Cross, and His Promise and commitment to..

Never to let go.. His obedience to fulfil the promises of God, the Father. Jesus Christ turned every word from God into truth on the cross. He was holding on to the task He was given till "It is Finished", if I look at it more closely.. He was still holding on while God let Him go.. which made Him cry “Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?” (which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” )..

Never to let go.. His love and care for His mother.. In the marriage at Cana, when she asked Him to turn the water to wine.. even though the time had not come, He obeyed her.. now when the time had come.. He did not take just away her son and leave her alone.. He showed her a son.. "Woman, here is your son".. In the revelation also He remembers and describes the woman who carried Him in her womb and went through so much hardships to bring Him to the world.

Never to let go.. His duty to save and forgive the sinners.. "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do." and to share the salvation "Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise"..

Never to let go.. His thirst for the Spirit.. to completed all his duties and till He could Commend His Spirit into the Hands of the Father.. Father, into your hands I commend my spirit..

And thanks be to God, that he never let go. Then, or now.
