When we see the babies trying to learn to walk.. the first thing they do is to hold.. they hold on to what is available for them to support..
Psalm 115:14 (NIV) May the Lord cause you to flourish, both you and your children.
Likewise for me the first step to grow is to hold on the what God has given me.. be it physically, professionally or Spiritually.. I have to learn to hold on and understand what God has given me.. sometimes ignoring what God has blessed me with leads me into troubles..
I need to build on the blessings from God.. not try to leave one blessing to hold on the other..
Most of the times once I get a blessing, I am happy, but when the situation gets tougher I get tempted to let it go and start searching for a better oppurtunity.. like for example when I am in need of a project, I will deperately be praying for the project and once i receive it I am happy, but after sometime when the situations in the project get tougher for me to handle.. what should I do? Should I let go what God gave me and ask for another one or do i have to hold on to the blessing so that I can strengthen my faith and grow up.
The minute I think of leaving my blessing.. it is like again starting the journey from where I was in the past when I did not have the blessing.. again as I move further in faith the struggles will come.. but if I keep jumping back to where i started.. there is little oppurtunity that I will grow in faith..
Deuteronomy 8:18 (NIV) But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.
When I look at the lives of Abraham, Joseph, King David, and many others they all started their journey with what was given to them as the first step to hold on for faith, they kept progressing further in their faith, till they kept growing and when they faced challenges they did not let go the blessings (instead they let go their worries), the Lord strengthened them during their tough times to becomes fully grown in faith and have victory in their lives in the name of the Lord..
Psalm 20:5 (NIV) May we shout for joy over your victory and lift up our banners in the name of our God. May the Lord grant all your requests.
