From my inmost heart I have a very intimate compassion and love for the mother when I look at her standing beside the cross.. The two most lovable minutes in her life.. first one is when I see her holding the Lord Jesus Christ as her son and laying Him down in the Manger.. which brings all the Christmas season in our life.. the second one is when I see her standing beside the cross when He was crufied.. i really find it hard to even imagine what might have went through her mind.. during these two historical event which changes the life of the whole world..
Luke 2:7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.
Everyday when I pray rosary.. the Joyful mysteries or the sorrowful mystries.. I really feel how much joy it will be to hold Him as a baby in Her arms.. similarly when I do the sorrowful mysteries.. I feel how sorrowful it should have been for her as a mother to see her son being crucified on the cross..
As a mother these are most important moments in her life.. and I always felt.. it is her faith that cooperated with the plans of the Lord both in His plans of birth and in His resurrection..
Luke 1:38 I am the Lord's servant, Mary answered. May your word to me be fulfilled. Then the angel left her.
It is her firm faith.. that lead her so submit her life and also to submit her son's life to the will of God.. Abraham took his son Issac to sacrifice him to the Lord.. but the Lord stopped him and a Lamb was sacrified instead.. but for Mary the Lamb Himself was her son.. and she committed to the Lord's plan of sarifice.. for the salvation of the whole world.. she had to let her son go to the place of death from where no son returns.. but by the Mercy of God the Father.. Her son returned back alive.. to be the salvation for the world..
John 19:25 Near the cross of Jesus stood his mother, his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.
