Path is the same for everyone

When I read about the lives of the people who have had a very good living relationship with the Lord, there is a significant similarity on the path they had taken.

It all beings with the thirst and hunger for the Lord deep inside the heart, and the cry in the soul. The first baby step that leads people to the Lord, yearning to hear the voice of the Lord and seek Him and find Him. Never failing spirit to endure any extent of Physical suffering with patience to seek the truth and the reality, to come in face to face with the purpose. Hatred for Sinfulness, injustice and unrighteousness in the world. The craving for righteousness, stability, holiness and perfection in personal and the life around us. All these lead the community of the Lord to the foot of the cross. The want, urge and the need to be sinless. The desire to have a sinless conscience.

Once they reach the foot of the cross, the path is filled with prayer, study and understanding of the Bible, the anointing of the Holy Spirit, the quiet time with the Lord, the meditation on the word, charity, simplicity, helping others, sharing the Gospel, daily reading. Sharing the love, peace and joy of the Lord with everyone. Doing the duty with dedication, discipline and sincerity. The satisfaction in the Soul of having accomplished the purpose of being in this life. Life filled with Patience and perseverance.

The path from the foot to the cross to the Heaven starts with the detachment from the world, the detachment from the flesh and the strengthening of the inner being, strengthening of the faith, the anointing of the Holy Spirit, Visions from the Lord, the communion with the Lord, living in the Presence of the Lord.

Thank you Deepa. The d-words stuck out for me in this little blog full of wise observations.
Detachment from the world and the flesh; dedication, discipline, duty.
"Still all my song shall be: Nearer, my God to Thee..."
Grace and peace to you in Christ,
Sarah
