Seek the Will of God

Psalm 143:10 Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground.

Every time when I seek the Will of God, I have realized, I am trying to change and I am trying to check if God is okay with it. Sometimes these changes might lead to increase my nearness to God. Sometimes it might not take me anywhere, it will be just some waste of time and effort. A few years back I was really trying to be strong, and I ended up being so tired. I was really trying to be like someone who was really strong, so I felt drained out and tired. It is not that God cannot make me strong, may be it is just that something is going wrong. When I look at myself, as years passed by, I know I am growing to be strong in the same way that I hoping to be years back, but I am not doing anything beyond my capacity. I am not tired.I am sure one day, I will be where I wanted to be.

Seeking the Will of God is more of direction, permission andapproval from God,to do what I think is right.

1. First seek the Kingdom of Heaven

Mathew 6:33 Butseekfirst hiskingdomand his righteousness, and allthese things will be given to you as well.

Pray for and seek the Kingdom of Heaven. The destiny is Heaven, keep that as your Primary goal, no matter which situation you are, how confusing or lost the situation is, reach out to Heaven from where ever you are, He will answer and show you the path. It is like a traveler travelling to Heaven, and calling Heaven to ask the way to reach the Heaven. The path that you take to reach the Heaven will be the most exciting journey, with so many challenges, victories, revelations and transformations.

Romans 8:30 And those he predestined, he alsocalled; those hecalled, he also justified; those he justified, he alsoglorified.

2. Search your Heart to know the Will of God.

Romans 8:27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God's people in accordance with thewillofGod.

Learning to search our Hearts and listen to it will help us know the will of God.Fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. As Believers who have accepted Christ and are filled with the Spirit of God, our Heart should reveal us the will of God. Many people run to other people to seek the will of God. But they have to listen to their Hearts to know the will of God instead. It is very important to discern your will from the will of God. Check if this will bring Glory to you or to the Lord.

3. God will meet our needs.

Mathew 6:26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

Though the situations seem to be difficult and impossible, Believe that God has perfect plan in place to provide our needs. He is the God who created the whole world from nothing. He is the God who provided Manna in the wilderness, He provided the Fish and Bread to feed the Five Thousand. He can provide us food. He is the God who led the Israelites out of Egypt, He can set us free.He is the God who gave the Promised Land to the Israelites, He can provide us home.

Psalm 23:1-3 TheLord is my shepherd,I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul.

4. It is His will is to heal us.

Mark 1:40-41A man with leprosy came to him and begged him on his knees, “If you are willing, you can make me clean.” Jesus was indignant. He reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!”

He is always willing to heal us. Through His stripes we are healed. When in doubt if God is willing to heal you or forgive you, remember His answer is “I am willing” . He will never leave us sick or suffering. He has come to heal us and for our salvation.

5. God's way is higher than our way

Isaiah 55:8-9 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

God's ways are not our ways, we need to learn His way. We always try to do things our way, in the way of the world. But it turns out that God has a different way of getting things done. He keeps His promises, and accomplishes His blessings in our life.

Romans 12:2Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - his good, pleasing and perfect will.

1 John 2:17 The world and its desires pass away, butwhoeverdoes thewillofGodlives forever.

Good blog but be careful with the statement of healing without qualification for there are a number of members here at CB who have been ill and are suffering from cancer and depression over many years - Remember Paul's thorn in the flesh. Also remember that Jesus did not heal everyone when he walked this earth for his healing where signs that the kingdom of God had arrived, rather than for the sick persons benefit.
