Share the Gospel

Oppurtunity to share theGospel with people is something for which I keep praying about.(Mark 16:15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach thegospel to all creation.)

St.Thomas came to India to preach the Gospel, just doing a simple math, it should have been roughly around 2000yrs since the Gospel was first proclaimed there. Inspite of so many ministers who workto proclaim the Gospeland so many people praying for the peopleto be saved,it is only 3% of the total Indian population who are Christians. This truthisnot only limited to India but also applicable to many other nations. People think their spiritual eyes are open, but the don't understand how spiritually blind they are.

Matthew 13:15 For this people's heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closedtheir eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.'

It is not an easy task to preach the Gospel to anyone, because they may be so much into the idolatry and all other beliefs that teachpeace, eternal life etc.,Most of people know Jesus by name. They know of His birth, death and resurrection. But they see him as a prophet, as one of the many Gods, as a man. The truth s hidden from them, they dont know the Truth. So everytime I get an oppurtunity to preach the Gospel to someone, I really pray to God to strengthen me, becauseI want to make sure that they know the truth.

Isaiah 44:18 They know nothing, they understand nothing; theireyes are plastered over so they cannot see, and their minds closed so they cannot understand.

Few days back I met one person in the Seattle Airport, he had a small bible in his hand and he was reading it, I sat next to him and I asked him about what he was reading in the bible. He was a Hindu and He usually reads the books from other religions as well. He showed me the biblical scriptures that he had noted down. Though he had the Bible in his hand, and he was reading through the Gospels, the truthwas hidden from him. He was still searching something which is unknown. As I was taking to him, he was trying to understand my faith. So I tried to explain him about the purpose behind the birth of Jesus, his death and resurrection. And I quoted to Him about the existance of the Holy Spirit, and the Christ who lives in me.

1 Peter 1:10-12 Concerning this salvation, the prophets, who spoke of the grace that was to come to you, searched intently and with the greatest care, trying to find out the time and circumstances to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing when he predicted the sufferings of the Messiah and the glories that would follow. It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you, when they spoke of the things that have now been told you by those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things.

Preaching the Gospel to someone is mostly a onetime oppurtunity for me, as I might not meet the same person again, but in the small few mins, I need to ensure I sow the seed, at the right time, in the right depth so that it get the required attention to grow.I know, it is finally for God to plan andto save that person. I only pray that God will plan to use me as the tool to save others.

Acts 9:15 But the Lord said to Ananias, “Go! This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel.

2 Timothy 2:21 Those who cleanse themselves from the latter will be instruments for special purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work.
