(NIV) Romans 14:9 For this very reason, Christ died and returned to life so that he might be the Lord of both the dead and the living.
Good Friday brings both the living and the dead together while we wait for the resurrection of the Lord. I feel during this time the dead will all be surprised to see all the living in their world.. as we follow Jesus to the world of dead.. so that we can be resurrected along with Him.. every year.. we walk with Jesus to the valley of death and wait until He is resurrected..
Good Friday.. reminds us whatever pains and sufferings we have been through in the past.. will all come to an end.. Together with Jesus.. we travel through the deepest and the most painful part of our life.. every pain, every sin, every suffering, every loss, every sickness.. since childhood till today.. we walk along all the memories.. holding on to Jesus in the valley of death.. we sit there quietly in the middle of all our failures.. all our weaknesses.. all our disasters.. all our brokenness.. all that we have been so far.. we sit there quietly in calm, peace, tears, agony.. all our feelings poured out to the Lord.. we sit there holding Him.. and letting Him hold us in His love.. for our sake He is walking through the valley of death.. so that I will dare to face it.. look through it.. with His strength.. and love and compassion..
Jesus Christ died and He descended to the dead.. this is where everyone has togo one day.. everyone like rich and poor.. there is no escape.. this is a path that we will all have to cross.. shows us the promise of eternal rest and peace in the love of Christ.. there is no fear even in the valley of death.. for He has overcome the death..
(NIV) 1 Peter 1:3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
