Being Found in Him

Phil. 3:9 - and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ--the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith.

The Lord moved my heart to look at what are the benefits of being 'found in Christ.' The concept speaks directly to our union or oneness with God in Him. This list is lengthy, so I will provide a few which particularly stood out.

Being found in Christ provides:

  • Righteousness based on empowerment through the Holy Spirit. (Rom. 13:14)
  • Restored to a right relationship with God and enmity removed. (Col. 1:21)
  • Adopted as sons and daughters of the Most High. (2 Cor. 6:18)
  • Possess eternal life in Christ. (John 11:25, 26, Rom. 6:23)
  • A royal priesthood in our High Priest. (I Peter 2:9)
  • Being under His authority to exercise His power lived out in our lives. (I Cor. 4 7 - 11)
  • Equipped in Christ for doing God's will. (Heb. 13:20 - 21)
  • Found holy in Him. (I Cor. 1:30)
  • Love in humility and compassion because God's loved us. (I John 4:19)
  • Have the mind of Christ.  (I Cor. 2:16)
  • Peace of Christ rule in our hearts and lives. (Col. 3:15)
  • Open the eyes of the spiritually blind and ears of the deaf. (Isa. 35:5)

There are so many others … made into the image of Christ in God's eyes, and inheritance in Him, share in His glory, and much much more. May God illuminate an attribute of identity in Christ specifically for your edification. Then by deep meditation and new revelation overflow heart, soul, and mind in greater spiritual apprehension. To bear fruit shining God's light to the world, drawing all who see to the Savior.

Matt. 5:14 - "You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden."

We no longer live but Christ lives in and through us. All praise, glory, and honor to Him! Amen.

Gal. 2:20 - I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
